Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah adalah suatu pemikiran untuk menemukan solusi. Rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah salah satu penyebabnya adalah rendahnya minat belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui analisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika ditinjau dari minat belajar siswa. Teknik pengambilan subjek menggunakan purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX.1 di SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Limau. Desain penelitian menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah angket, soal tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan model Miles dan Huberman, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil analisis data terdapat 5 orang siswa dengan minat belajar tinggi, 16 orang dengan minat belajar sedang dan 9 orang dengan minat belajar rendah. Untuk menggali kemampuan pemecahan masalah ditinjau dari minat belajar, dilakukan pemilihan secara acak sebanyak 2 orang siswa minat belajar tinggi, sedang dan rendah untuk dilakukan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa siswa dengan minat belajar tinggi memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam kategori baik, mampu memenuhi 4 tahapan polya yaitu (1) memahami masalah, (2) menyusun rencana penyelesaian, (3) melaksanakan penyelesaian, dan (4 )memeriksa kembali. Siswa dengan minat belajar sedang mampu menyelesaikan soal tes pemecahan masalah tahap memahami masalah, merencanakan penyelesaian dan belum maksimal dalam melaksanakan penyelesaian dan memeriksa kembali. Siswa dengan minat belajar rendah mampu menyelesaikan soal tes pemecahan masalah tahap memahami masalah, dan belum maksimal pada merencanakan, dan belum mampu melaksanakan penyelesaian dan memeriksa kembali.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the forms of errors made by students based on Polya’s criteria and to determine the factors that cause students to make these mistakes. This type of research is a qualitative research that is analyzed using a descriptive approach in the form of a case study rearch. The subjects in this study were students of class X IPA 4 which consisted of 28 students. The analytical method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative analysis. The results showed that there were 91.7% of students errors in understanding the problem, errors in formulating problems were 34.5% of students, carried out errors in implementing plans were 24.5% of students and errors when checking back answer 38.1% of students. Factors causing these errors: (1) students are less interested in learning mathematics, (2) students are less talented in mathematics, (3) students who have difficulty working on problems and (4) how to teach teachers in providing explanations about mathematics lessons.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematical communication skills of students in solving problems of mathematical communication skills, especially in learning mathematics. This study aims to determine how students' mathematical communication skills on the matter of numbers with powers and forms of roots. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The subjects of this research were eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 10 Padang. Subjects were taken with 20 students by giving a test of mathematical communication skills, then from these results 3 research subjects were selected based on the categories of low, medium, and high abilities. The results of this study showed that the achievement of the indicators of students' mathematical communication skills. In the indicator of connecting real objects, images or equations into mathematical form are in the high category with a percentage of 78%, explaining mathematical situations and relations orally or in writing using algebraic forms, pictures, or equations are in the medium category with a percentage of 47%, and changing real events into mathematical language and symbols are in the medium category with a percentage of 65%. Keywords: Mathematical Communication, Powers and Roots

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of the application of blended learning on the learning outcomes of class X MIA students at SMA PGRI 2 Padang. This study used a pre-experimental design in the form of a One-Shot Case Study by taking research subjects by Purposive Sampling. The sample of this research was the students of class X MIA. This study used descriptive questions as a final test instrument. The data analysis technique used in this research was a t-test. Based on the data collection techniques and data analysis carried out, it was obtained that tcount = 1.81 and ttable = 1.68, because tcount > ttable, then reject H0 at a significant level of 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is an effect of applying blended learning on studensts’ learning outcomes of class X MIA at SMA PGRI 2 Padang. Keywords: Blended Learning, Learning Outcomes
