Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a public health problem. The study used systematic literature reviews (SLR), which is a synthesis of a systematic literature study that is clear, comprehensive, by identifying, analyzing, evaluating through the collection of existing data with an explicit search method and involving the processes that have been critical in the selection of studies. The results found that 20 relevant articles have been reviewed and showed most of the evidence was significant on reducing fasting blood sugar and cholesterol levels. One study was not substantial on lowering cholesterol levels. Those 19 review studies showed that the study was a good category with an effect size value was 1.99 (robust) and a good JBI value. This was due to giving yoga interventions or the methods used during the training process is appropriate following the standard of intervention. Providing the yoga practice should involve movement and concentration. If the movement is correct, even if the intervention is given for only a month, it will show better results. The conclusion of 20 studies systematic literature reviewing yoga interventions has a significant value on reducing fasting blood glucose and cholesterol levels. Yoga practice involves movement and concentration. If the activities are suitable, it shows effective results

The process of storing the medical records has risks that can threaten the occupational safety and health of medical records staff. One of the efforts in occupational safety and health is by providing protection for the medical records staff by using personal protective equipment. Based on the preliminary study in RSUD K.R.M.T Wongsonegoro Semarang, the use of personal protective equipment that has not been done well and dusty storage space and the risk of friction/ scraped paper or sharp medical record map. The purpose of this study is to determine the occupational safety and health on the medical records storage. The type of the research is descriptive qualitative research which is a research by describing an object with the data collection method using interview and observation. This study uses descriptive data analysis that describes the results of the research in the form of narrative. The result of the study explains that the occupational safety and health had been done but not maximally. This is because there is no SPO that specifically regulate the occupational safety and health in medical records. Personal protective equipment used by medical records staff includes respiratory protective equipment/ masks and gloves. The knowledge of medical record storing staff is that personal protective equipment is an important thing to be used as protection during the work. In addition, attitudes and behavior of medical record storing officers in the use of masks reached 91% and it is good enough. However, the use of gloves, it only reaches 41%, therefore, it needs improvement.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is influenced by lifestyle factors such as high fat intake which has the potential for high blood cholesterol level. Cocoa products, which are rich sources of flavonoids, have been shown to reduce blood pressure and the risk of cardiovascular disease.Aims: The purpose of this research is to examine the dark chocolate consumption in decreasing the level of blood cholesterol and triglyceride in hypertension patients. Methods: This research is a quasi-experiment study with pre and post and control group design. There were thirty two (32) hypertensive patients selected from Jatiroto Health Center in June-July 2018 using a random sampling technique. The respondents were then divided to (1) a control group where patients were prescribed to a popular non-pharmacological therapy Simvastatin and (2) an intervention group where the respondents were prescribed with Simvastatin and also received an additional dark chocolate 60gr/day (given twice a day, each 30gr) for 15 days. A spectrophotometer glycerol phosphate oxidase (GPO-POD) with 546 nm wavelength was employed to measure the levels of blood cholesterol and triglyceride. The significant mean difference between pre and posttest, and the changes between control and intervention group were defined by statistical analysis T-test.Results: This study acknowledged that the prescribed simvastatin alone presents a significant contribution to decrease the cholesterol level at 14.40 point (p value = 0.041), however, the generic is not enough to deliver a significant effect to the decrease of triglyceride level in the hypertension patients (p value = 0.361). A great contribution to the depression of cholesterol and triglyceride level in the hypertensive respondent was observed if simvastatin prescription was combined with a provision of 60 gram dark chocolate, respectively to the level of 57.06 and 38.41 mg/dL with p value = 0.001. The addition of dark chocolate in the simvastatin prescription will significantly reduce the blood cholesterol level (p value = 0.020), but not really effective to reduce the triglyceride (p value = 0.560).Conclusion: The findings suggest that giving dark chocolate to the hypertensive patients who receive simvastatin prescription will decrease the cholesterol and triglyceride levels greater than the consumption of simvastatin drugs alone. Abstract

Diabetic ulcers are open sores on the skin layer to the dermis caused by hyperglycemia and neuropathy. Infection is a barrier to the wound healing process, the incidence of infection in wounds with modern treatments of hydrocolloid and hydrogel type dressings is still high. Ozone has high antibactericidal and antimicrobial properties, is able to penetrate bacterial capsid walls and is expected to kill bacteria on the wound surface. To find the right way to cure diabetic ulcers using a combination of modern methods of dressing and ozonetherapy bagging.Experimental, non-equivalent control group design pre test, post test, population and infinite sample of 25 respondents. Modern dressing used has antibacterial properties and ozone concentration of 60-100ug / ml for 15 minutes using a limb bag was carried out until the 13th day with five times the measurement of the number of bacterial colonies using themethod swab and colonicounter. Data processing using a computer system with the General Linear Model. There was an average difference in the number of bacterial colonies between groups (505.73 ± 172.069 vs 322.21 ± 132.778, p = 0.0061).A combination of modern dressing and ozonetherapy bagging can reduce the number of bacterial colonies and speed up the healing process of the inflammatory phase II diabetic ulcer so that it can be applied in nursing care for diabetic ulcer patients.
