Abstract

The purposes of this research were to analyze the different between physic resolving problem ability by using problem based learning model and direct instruction model, the different of physic resolving problem ability between the students that have critical thinking ability upper the average and the students that have critical thinking ability under the average, and the interaction of problem based learning model toward critical thinking ability and students’ physic resolving problem ability. This research was quasy experimental research that use critical thinking ability tests and physic resolving problem ability tests as the instruments. Result of the research showed that the students’ physic resolving problem ability by using problem based learning model was better than by using direct instruction model, students’ physic resolving problem ability and critical thinking ability upper the average showed better different and result than students’ critical thinking ability under the average, besides there was an interaction between problem based learning model and critical thinking ability in improving students’ physic resolving problem ability.

Abstract

The study was conducted to investigate whether the developed scientific inquiry-based teaching materials can improve the students’ response, the students’ activity and the students’ achievement. This study is development which based on Borg & Gall product development. Samples were selected randomly by raffling 4 classes into one class, applied teaching materials based scientific inquiry. The instruments which are used in this study consisted of three namely quetionnaires used for validation of teaching material by the expert of the material and the expert of design, the evaluation of physics teacher and students’ response toward teaching materials and observation sheet of students’ activity used in learning process and also test for students’ achievement in the form of multiple choice consisted of 10 quetions provided for end of the learning. The results of this study showed that the developed scientific inquiry-based teaching materials can improve the students’ response, the students’ activity and the students’ achievement in every session.

Abstract

The aims of this research were to analyze the result of student’s Science Process Skills by using Inquiry Training Learning Model, to analyze the result of student’sScience Process Skills who had critical thinking ability above average better than critical thinking ability below average and to analyze the interaction between Inquiry training learning model and critical thinking ability of physics student’s Science Process Skills. This research was a quasi-experimental with two group pretest posttest design and anova design. The sample was conducted by cluster random sampling of two classes, the first class as experiment class with inquiry training Learning Model, and the second class as a control class with Conventional Learning. The research instrument consisted of science process skills test and critical thinking test. Data in this research was analyzed by using two ways Anova. The results of the research showed that student’s Science Process Skills using inquiry training learning model better than conventional learning, student’s Science Process Skills who had critical thinking above average better than critical thinking below average, and there was interaction between Inquiry training learning model and critical thinking to improve physics sudent’s Science Process Skills

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills, analyzing whether the improvement of critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills that are taught by the problem-based learning model using mind map better than students who are taught by conventional learning. This research is a quasi-experimental research with two group pretest-posttest design. The research population is all students of class X SMA Negeri 2 Bandar (senior high school) in first semester, academic year 2017/2018. The study sample was taken randomly consisting of 64 students. Class X MIPA-1 is an experimental class, consisting of 32 students with learning problem model learning using mind map. Class X MIPA-3 is a control class consisting of 32 students using conventional learning. The research instrument uses essay test of critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills that have been declared valid. Data analysis using statistical t-test. The results showed that the average value of critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills using conventional learning was 61.09 and 61.88 were in a low category while the students applying the problem-based learning model using mind map were 75.78 and 77.56 are in the moderate category. The result of hypothesis testing using independent sample t-test shows that each significance value (sig) <0.05 is 0.00 then H0 is rejected, it means that the skills of critical thinking and problem-solving skills of students who are treated with problem-based learning model using mind map is better than conventional learning, so it can be concluded that there is the effect of problem based learning model using mind map to improve critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills

Abstract

Karakterisasi mekanik dari kayu kelapa sawit (KKS) yang dikompregnasi dengan resin polietylen glikol dan toluene diisosianat untuk peningkatan sifat mekanik telah dilakukan, Resin dikompregnasikan ke dalam pori KKS berbentuk balok berukuran 15x2x2 cm3 yang diletakkan dalam kompregnator yang telah dimodifikasi dengan tekanan tertentu selama 15 menit. Berdasarkan karakterisasi mekanik yang dilakukan pada sampel KKS, harga modulus patah (MoR) optimum sebesar 10.46 MPa diperoleh pada kompregnasi dengan penambahan 20% resin. Harga Modulus Elastisitas (MoE) optimum sebesar 815,44 MPa juga dihasilkan melalui proses kompregnasi reaktif dengan konsentrasi resin 20%. Abstract

The business of Tofu Mbak TRISNI located in Percut Sei Tuan has produced about 2 years. The Problems in the partner's efforts are: 1) The partner has not yet had the knowledge and understanding of the quality of clean water and is worthy tobe used for the manufacture of tofu and for other activities, 2) The partner does not have the knowledge and skills About clean water treatment technology of households, 3) The partner requires additional knowledge to cultivate less viable water in order to be a decent water used for the purpose of making tofu and daily necessities and 4) partners need Simple Technology to cultivate water is less feasible to be a decent water used for the purpose of making tofu and household use. The method of implementation of activities carried out by approach method includes extension activities, training, mentoring and workshop on appropriate technology to process water is not worthy of use into viable water tailored to the condition Environment. This PKM activity generates the availability of clean water for the manufacture of tofu that will produce good quality and safe for health for long-term consumption as well as increased knowledge and skills partner in operating the tool TTG For longer periods of time.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan desain alat peraga induksi elektromagnetik berupa generator dc sederhana untuk kelas XII SMA. Dengan menggunakan metode Research and Development yang terdiri atas empat tahapan umum yaitu: tahap pendefenisian (define), tahap perancangan (design), tahap pengembangan (develop), dan tahap penyebaran (dessiminate. Hasil analis data eksperimen menggunakan alat peraga generator dc sederhana koefisien relasi adalah 0,996 dan nilai sig. = 0.000. Nilai ini dapat diinterpretasikan bahwa hubungan antara kecepatan sudut dan ggl induksi sangat kuat dan linier. Desain alat peraga yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid untuk digunakan pada pembelajaran   dengan penilaian dari 2 validator ahli media masing-masing persentase pada aspek tampilan (85% dan 80%), ketahanan (93% dan 87%), keakuratan (80% dan 80%), efisiensi alat (90% dan 90%), keamanan (100% dan 93%) dan kelengkapan (90% dan 90%). Alat peraga dan lembar kerja peserta didik memenuhi kriteria sangat baik dari penilaian siswa dengan persentase rata-rata 86 % dan masing-masing persentase pada aspek materi 89 %, desain pembelajaran 82 %, kualitas teknis 84 % dan implementasi 89 %. Hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan sebesar 83% lulus kriteria belajar minimum  dan persen peningkatan hasil belajar 70,37%.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan kecanggihan teknologi saat proses pembelajaran sangat penting dalam menganalisis fenomena indeks bias yang bersifat abstrak. Perkembangan teknologi perangkat lunak yang makin pesat, membuat media pembelajaran berupa alat praktikum juga berkembang, yaitu perangkat lunak yang membantu dalam percobaan fisika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat peraga indeks bias sebagai media pembelajaran fisika yag valid. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan menggunakan tahapan Analyze Design Develop Implement Evaluate (ADDIE). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 11 Medan dengan sampel 28 siswa. Hasil kevalidan alat peraga berdasarkan ahli media dengan persentase nilai 92,3% dengan kategori sangat valid.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajarankooperatif tipe Group Investigation (GI) terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa padamateri pokok suhu dan kalor. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi exsperiment dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Perbaungan yang berjumlah 8 kelas. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 kelas yang ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling, yaitu Kelas X-2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe GI dan kelas X-6 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional, jumlah siswa masing-masing kelas 40 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ada dua, yaitu tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk pilihan berganda yang telah dinyatakan valid oleh validator dan lembar observasi aktivitas belajar siswa. Menguji hipotesis digunakan uji t, setelah uji persyaratan dilakukan yaitu uji normalitas dan homogenitas. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t diperoleh ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation (GI) terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa pada materi pokok suhu dan kalor di kelas X Semester II SMA Negeri 1 Perbaungan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh modelpembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokoksuhu dan kalor. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperiment. Populasi dalampenelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPA Semester II yang terdiri dari 3kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling.Dengan mengambil 2 kelas dari 3 kelas secara acak, yaitu kelas X IPA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing dan kelas X IPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional yang masing-masing berjumlah 32 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar siswa yang berjumlah 6 soal dalam bentuk essay test dan lembar observasi aktivitas. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t dengan taraf α = 0,05. Nilai rata-rata postes kelas eksperimen = 50,2 dan kelas kontrol = 41,7. Rata-rata nilai aktivitas siswa mencapai 69,45 dengan kategori baik. Hasil analisis uji t satu pihak menunjukkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok suhu dan kalor.
