Abstract

This study aims to develop a student mathematics module based on the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach to the material of factors and multiples of a number in grade IV Elementary School to help with these difficulties. The research method used in this research is development research using the Four-D Models (4-D) development model, which consists of four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research subjects were fourth-grade elementary school students. From this research, it was found that; 1) the developed module was declared valid by material, media and language experts; 2) the mathematics module that was developed practically through limited trial activities with the results of the percentage of the remaining assessment questionnaires distributed was 94.32%; 3) the developed module has a potential effect on student learning outcomes, which can be seen from the final average score of students, which is 85.33, which means that student learning outcomes are categorized as very good. Based on the study results, it can be stated that the developed module is valid, practical and has a potential effect on improving learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan multimedia pada pokok bahasan program linear yang menggunakan metode simpleks yang valid, praktis, dan memiliki efek terhadap minat dan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Multimedia didesain menggunakan microsoft power point. Penelitian ini menggunakan meto-de penelitian pengembangan (development research). Tahap pengembangan terbagi dua yaitu tahap preli-minary yang meliputi analisis dan pendesainan, formative evaluation yang terdiri dari self evaluation, expert review, one to one, small group, dan field test. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah walkthrough (tahap expert review) untuk mengetahui validitas multimedia dari segi konten dan bahasa. Observasi untuk mengetahui kepraktisan multimedia (one to one, small group, field test), serta angket dan tes (tahap field test) untuk mengetahui minat dan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Dari hasil analisis data penelitian dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut. (1) Diperoleh multimedia yang dibuat dengan microsoft power point yang valid dan praktis. (2) Multimedia memiliki efek potensial terhadap hasil belajar dengan rata-rata nilai akhir mahasiswa 79,44 yang termasuk kategori baik dan persentase minat mahasiswa mencapai 79,62 % yang termasuk kategori tinggi.Kata kunci: pengembangan, multimedia, metode simpleks

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pelatihan karya tulis ilmiah untuk guru matematika di Kota Palembang. Pelaksanaan pelatihan berupa pendampingan kepada guru matematika untuk membuat karya tulis ilmiah. Kegiatan ini melalui empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, evaluasi, dan pelaporan. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan dari 3 Mei 2020-17 Juni 2020 secara daring menggunakan aplikasi whatsapp dan zoom meeting dengan 2 kali pelatihan dan 4 kali FGD (Focus Group Discussion). Peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan yaitu 25 orang guru matematika di Kota Palembang yang terdiri dari 10 orang guru matematika SMP/MTs dan 15 orang guru matematika SMA/MA. Peserta pelatihan diberikan materi Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dan tata cara penulisan artikel jurnal. Peserta dibimbing cara membuat artikel mulai dari judul, pendahuluan, metode, hasil, kesimpulan, daftar pustaka menggunakan reference manager, cek plagiat, membuat akun penulis jurnal, dan mengirimkan artikel yang sudah siap diterbitkan. Hasil pelatihan terkumpul 22 artikel yang sudah dikirim ke beberapa jurnal pendidikan matematika.

Abstract

CLASSROOM ACTİON RESEARCH IMPLEMENTATİON TRAİNİNG FOR TEACHERS VİA WEBİNAR. PROFESSİONAL TEACHERS ARE the hope for every person who dedicates himself to being an educator at the Kindergarten to High School level. One of the demands in the continuous professional development of teachers is the implementation of scientific publications or innovative works. This community service aims to train teachers on Classroom Action Research and Article Writing in National Journals through webinars. Ninety-four participants participated in the training. Based on the results of the training, it was obtained that the participant's assessment of the quality of the training included: 1) the quality of the audio (voice) was very clear and clear at 93.83%; 2) visual quality (text, images) is very clear and clear by 92.34%; 3) the suitability of the material presented by the resource persons according to the title of the webinar by 94, 89%; 4) the quality of the material delivered by the resource persons is very good and easy to understand by 93.83%; 5) the question and answer session/discussion on the webinar was effective and was able to answer my questions by 90.43%. In addition, the participants wanted the PkM Team to provide further training in the form of 1) assistance in writing scientific articles; 2) development of interactive learning multimedia using Ms Power point; 3) handwriting learning video development; 4) development of LKPD; and, 5) development of TPACK-oriented RPP.

Abstract

This study was carried out to test the validity of math problems in Al-Hijrah High School 10th grade students with a maximum age of 15 year. The goal of this study was to obtain the most recent PISA type math questions in the context of Covid-19 with an accurate level of validity as determined by expert review and one-to-one. The trial was conducted on three students with different abilities in the classroom while still applying health protocols. This research was conducted through a development method that was divided into two stages, namely preliminary and formative evaluation, which included self-evaluation and prototyping (expert review and one-to-one). This research produces instrumen kits, namely grids, scoring rubrics, question cards and of course the prototype 2 question sets that are feasible to use. Abstract

This research is motivated by the not yet optimal application of differentiated learning where teachers have not accommodated students' learning needs, in the form of learning readiness, learning interest and student learning profile (style). This study aims to improve student learning activities and outcomes. Data collection techniques using instruments: (1) student activity observation sheets, and (2) learning achievement tests. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistical analysis and descriptive analysis. The results showed that: The average percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes in cycle I was 92%, increasing to 96% in cycle II. While the percentage of student learning activities in cycle I reached 90.25%, an increase of 92% in cycle II. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the application of differentiated learning through the Problem Based Learning learning model can optimize student learning activities and outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the generative learning model on students' learning outcomes in mathematics, specifically on the topic of parallelogram area, in seventh-grade students at a junior high school (SMP). This research is experimental in nature. The population consists of all seventh-grade students, with class VII.6 serving as the experimental group and class VII.7 as the control group. The results show that students who used the generative learning model achieved an average score of = 83,475 with a standard deviation of s1 = 10,679, whereas students who did not use the model had an average score of = 74,425 with a standard deviation of s2 = 12,5450. After analyzing the data, a difference in average scores between the experimental and control groups was found. Based on statistical analysis using the t-test, the results showed tcalculated = 3.474 for ? = 5% (? = 0.05) and degrees of freedom (df) = 78, with ttable = 1.980. Since tcalculated > ttable, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. The hypothesis test confirms that "there is an effect of the generative learning model on students' learning outcomes in mathematics on the topic of parallelogram area in seventh-grade students at a junior high school (SMP)."

Abstract

Berpikir kritis merupakan kompetensi penting dalam pembelajaran matematika abad ke-21, membantu peserta didik menganalisis, mengevaluasi, dan memecahkan masalah secara logis. Penelitian ini membandingkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik laki-laki dan perempuan pada materi barisan dan deret aritmetika di MTs Jamiatul Qurro Palembang. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan sampel purposif-kelas VIII A dan VIII D dari lima kelas yang ada. Data dikumpulkan melalui dokumentasi, tes uraian berdasarkan indikator berpikir kritis, dan wawancara. Analisis data dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik perempuan umumnya memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis lebih tinggi, sedangkan peserta didik laki-laki unggul sekitar 10% pada indikator membuat kesimpulan. Kedua kelompok setara dalam indikator memberikan penjelasan lebih lanjut. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya strategi pembelajaran yang responsive berbasis gender untuk mengoptimalkan pengembangan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Critical thinking is a key competency in 21st-century mathematics education, supporting students in analyzing, evaluating, and solbing problems logically. Research has shown that gender may influence students’ critical thinking abilities which can impact learning outcomes. This study aimed to compare students’ critical thinking skills based on gender in the context of arithmetic sequences and series at MTs Jamiatul Qurro Palembang. Using a qualitative descriptive design, the study involved one purposively selected class (VIII A and VIII D) from a population of five classes. Data were collected through documentation, essay tests based on critical thinking indicators, and interviews. The analysis followed three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that female students generally demonstrated stronger critical thinking skills, possibly due to more complex cognitive patterns. However, male students outperformed female students by approximately 10% in the indicator of drawing conclusions, likely due to a greater interest in theoretical concepts. Both groups showed similar abilities in providing further explanations. These results highlight the importance of gender-responsive teaching strategies to support the development of students’ critical thinking skills more effectively.

Abstract

Mathematics is a fundamental science that plays a crucial role in various fields of life and technological development. However, mathematics learning at MI X is still limited to teaching materials provided by the school, making it less engaging and meaningful for students. To address this issue, innovation in learning is needed, one of which is through the development of teaching materials in the form of modules. This study aims to develop a student mathematics module based on a contextual approach for the topic of statistics in Grade IV. The research subjects consisted of 23 students. The development method used is the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The module developed was validated by experts and revised twice until it was deemed suitable for use. Limited trials showed the module's practicality, with a student response percentage of 84.89%. Meanwhile, field trials indicated the module's effectiveness, with an average student learning outcome of 76,2, categorized as excellent. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the contextual-based mathematics module developed is feasible, practical, and has potential effects in improving student learning outcomes in the topic of statistics.
