Abstract

This research aims to develop an E-module for Professional and Entrepreneurship learning in the Beauty and SPA Industry in the Basics of Beauty subject which is implemented at SMK Negeri 1 Lamongan. This research model uses the ADDIE method. This type of research uses "Pre-test post-test One Group Design". The data used is quantitative data obtained based on the suitability of Media Experts, Material Experts and knowledge tests (cognitive). The results of data analysis by media experts obtained an average score of 3.75 (decent). The results of data analysis by material experts obtained an average score of 4.00 (decent). The knowledge competency (cognitive) learning results show a significant difference between before and after being given the Professional and Entrepreneurship learning E-module in the Beauty and SPA Industry. This means that the E-module being developed can help improve learning outcomes.

Abstract

The study's three main goals are to: (1) assess how well the discovery learning model syntax was implemented; (2) examine the learning outcomes of the students; and (3) gauge the reactions of the students to the application of the discovery learning model in the creambath class at SMK Negeri 1 Buduran. With its "One Shot Case Study" approach, this study is classified as pre-experimental. Thirty-three students from SMK Negeri 1 Buduran's class X Beauty 2 served as the research subjects. Cognitive tests, questionnaires to gauge student answers, and observation to evaluate the application of the learning syntax were used to gather data. Three research instruments were employed in this study: a student response questionnaire, a cognitive test sheet, and an observation sheet for the syntax's implementation.With an average score of 3.7, the discovery learning model syntax was applied extremely successfully in the learning activities pertaining to the wet scalp and hair care competency (creambath). Students were well-prepared in terms of knowledge based on the conducted learning, as evidenced by the average score of 86.8 for the cognitive learning outcomes following the application of the discovery learning methodology. When expressed as a percentage, the students' responses produced an overall average score of 36.2, or 91%, which is considered extremely good. The findings suggest that students' comprehension has improved, they found the learning model enjoyable, and they found the discovery learning model simpler to understand, especially when it came to the wet scalp and hair care competency (creambath).

Abstract

Effective learning necessitates creative media that can present content in a captivating and comprehensible way. This study was conducted to determine 1) the appropriateness of the educational media, 2) the cognitive achievements of the students, and 3) the feedback from students in class XI TKKR at SMKN 1 Pacitan. The method chosen is Research and Development (R&D) utilizing the ADDIE model, which includes five essential phases: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The flipbook was designed using Canva and then uploaded to the Heyzine platform, which resulted in an appealing and user-friendly digital book format. The validation process involves six evaluators, consisting of experts in content, media, and language. Data was gathered via observations, assessments of learning outcomes, and surveys regarding student responses. The evaluation of the flipbook-based interactive learning media resulted in an overall average rating of 4.64, classifying it as "very good." The analysis of learning performance indicated excellent criteria, yielding an average score of 82.5, with 87% of the students achieving completion. Furthermore, the students' feedback regarding the learning media was highly favorable, with an average score of 4.42, categorized as "Very Good." Through this research, it was concluded that Flipbook is effective in fostering students' understanding and learning motivation, while also serving as an innovation to overcome the limitations of traditional learning media in vocational schools.

Abstract

Effective learning models have an important role in supporting the success of the learning process, so that it can improve student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) The syntax implementation of the quantum teaching learning model; 2) Student activiity; 3) Learning outcomes; and 4) Student responses. The research method used was quantitative, with a pre-experimental approach using one group pre-test and post-test design. The subjects of this study were 30 class X TKKR students. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data collectiion technique consisted 1) Observation, 2) Test; 3) Questionnaire. The data analysis technique for syntax implementation, student activity, affective learning outcomes, psychomotor and student responses used the average, while the analysis of cognitive learning outcomes improvement used the Wilcoxon signed ranks test assisted by SPSS version 22. The results showed: 1) Analysis of syntax implementation was 100%; 2) Analysis of activiity obtained an average 3.76; 3) Analysis of cognitive learning outcomes obtained an average pre-test score of 65.1 and a post-test score of 85.8, the results of the hypothesis test obtained a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 <0.05, it was concluded that there was a significant difference in cognitive learning outcomes between before and after the quantum teaching learning model was implemented. Affective learning outcomes obtained an average of 3.70, psychomotor learning outcomes obtained an average of 3.74 which means that affective and psychomotor learning outcomes are very good; and 4) studentt responses obtained an average of 4.59 which means very good. So it can be concluded that there is an increase in student learning outcomes between before and after the implementation of the quantum teaching learning model with a very good response. Abstract

Belum tahu dan/atau tidak sadarnya guru akan pentingnya melakukan permohonan pendaftaran untuk melindungi hak cipta dari karya-karya ciptaannya, mengakibatkan banyak karya ciptaannya yang belum terdaftarkan dan tentu ini menyebabkan tidak diakuinya semua karya dari seluruh sivitas akademika SMK YKP Magetan. Solusi untuk permasalahan di atas dan sekaligus tujuan kegiatan PKM ini adalah melakukan pelatihan penyusunan permohonan pendaftaran HKI (hak cipta) bagi para guru SMK YKP Magetan. Metode dan/atau tahapannya adalah: 1) menyiapkan materi panduan dan/atau formulir permohonan pendaftaran/pencatatan hak cipta. Semua formulir jika sudah diisi dengan lengkap dan benar termasuk tandatangan tim pencipta dan pimpinan lembaga dan bermeterai hendaknya disimpan dalam bentuk pdf, termasuk dokumen karya ciptaannya, 2) pemaparan materi terkait jenis dan ragam HKI dan prosedur permohonan pendaftaran hak cipta, 3) memberikan contoh cara pengisian formulir permohonan pendaftaran hak cipta dan mendaftarkannya ke sistem DJKI secara online, 4) praktik mandiri cara pengisian formulir permohonan pendaftaran hak cipta yang dilakukan oleh para guru SMK YKP Magetan. Hanya saja, tidak sampai pada tahap mendaftarkan ke sistem DJKI secara online karena mitra belum memiliki akun untuk login ke sistem DJKI, dan 5) melakukan umpan balik serta masukan dan saran dari para peserta pelatihan tentang kegiatan PKM yang telah dilaksanakan dengan cara memberikan lembar respon angket ke peserta. Hasil kegiatan pelatihan permohonan pendaftaran HKI di SMK-YKP Magetan telah berjalan dengan baik, lancar, dan sukses dilihat dari hasil analisis data angket respon peserta.

Abstract

Exposure to UV rays in Indonesia causes skin damage such as premature aging. This research aims to develop a body lotion formulation combining areca nut extract and green tea leaf extract to protect and repair the skin, as well as for the the analysis the effect of the impact of the two extracts on organoleptic properties and determine the best formula based on the preference levels of the panelists. In this study, the method applied is a true experimental design involving 30 panelists from the Makeup Arts Department at State University of Surabaya. Three body lotion formulas were tested based on five organoleptic parameters: aroma, color, adhesion, homogeneity, and preference level. Data processing used one-way ANOVA and Duncan’s subsequent test. The study’s research findings show that the characteristics of color are significantly impacted, homogeneity, and level of preference (p < 0.05), whereas the aroma and adhesion values obtained exceeded the significance threshold, hence the differences are considered not significant (p > 0.05). Formula X3 (0.5 g of areca nut extract and 2 g of green tea extract) is the best formula because it received the highest score in almost all tested parameters.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the design concept, creation process, and evaluation results of the "Taajmiratmaa" crown as a visual representation of Kuwait's natural wealth and culture. The crown's design concept is inspired by the Arfaj flower, Kuwait's national flora symbolizing desert resilience and beauty, and Failaka Beach with its clear blue sea, representing peace and purity. Dominant colors of sea blue, white, and silver were chosen to reflect spirituality and elegance. The crown's form integrates Arfaj floral motifs with Islamic geometric elements, creating a graceful, feminine, yet strong impression. The primary material used is eva foam due to its lightweight and flexible properties, adorned with imitation Swarovski crystals in blue and white for a luxurious feel, resembling the sparkle of boron diamonds. The creation process began with developing a mood board and two alternative designs. Based on initial evaluations by three expert informants, Design 2 was selected for its superior aesthetics, proportion, and symbolism. The realization phase involved measuring the model's head, pattern making, material planning, main and detailed pattern drawing, Swarovski application in Arfaj flower motifs, bonsai wire foundation installation, and finishing with glitter application. The final evaluation of the realized crown was conducted by 30 respondents (makeup artistry students) using a Likert scale. The results showed an overall average score of 45 out of 50 points, with most respondents giving scores between 42-50 points. The most prominent aspects receiving high ratings were cultural theme suitability, color combination, and overall visual aesthetics. This indicates that the "Taajmiratmaa" crown successfully integrates Kuwaiti cultural elements with modern design, receiving high appreciation in both artistic and technical aspects. Abstract

The purpose of this project is to produce a video lesson that will function as an instructional tool for stage makeup in SMK Negeri 6 Surabaya's class XI. The five steps of the ADDIE development model—analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation—are used in this study's research and development. Expert validation for media elements was 96.88%, material aspects were 96.25%, and language aspects were 95%, according to the study's findings. With an overall average of 96.04%, it falls into the "very suitable" category for educational usage. Additionally, the average value of cognitive learning outcomes was 92.59%, and the students' classical completion rate was 89.44. The psychomotor score, on the other hand, was in the "very good" range with an average of 88.15 and a classical completion percentage of 100%. With 95.3% of pupils responding to the video session, the response rate was deemed "very positive." Thus, it can be said that teaching Balinese dancing stage makeup through video instructional learning materials is quite appropriate and successful. It is expected that this research will serve as a roadmap for the creation of comparable media in the fields of beauty and other occupations. Abstract

The method of conveying information in an interesting and easy-to-understand way is using video tutorials. The level of effectiveness of video tutorials in conveying basic skills of top style bun arrangement as teaching materials in class XI of SMK Negeri 3 Kediri, student learning achievement after using video tutorial media on top style bun material, student responses to the use of video tutorials on learning skills of top style bun material as a learning aid. This study applies a quantitative approach. To collect information, an observation sheet is used to assess the quality of video tutorial media, cognitive and psychomotor tests are applied to evaluate student learning achievement, while questionnaires are used as a means of obtaining the required information. Video tutorials that discuss top style bun arrangement material are suitable media to be used and introduced to students as a learning tool. The average achievement is very satisfactory, with material components of 80%, media 90%, and language 85%. Students from grade XI showed achievement of scores above the KKM standard that has been set at SMK Negeri 3 Kediri, which is set at 75. Their learning achievement on the use of video learning media in top style bun arrangement lessons reached an average of 97 and 100% completion. Student responses to learning media lessons in the form of video tutorials in the learning process showed quite high effectiveness, with an achievement level reaching 83.8%. Abstract

Lack of diversity in material delivery strategies, limited practical facilities, and not optimal utilization of technology-based media result in the learning process of skills running less effectively, so media development is needed that is able to facilitate learning visually, flexibly, and easily accessible. The purpose of this research is to create learning video media that is valid, practical, and effective for learning evening style bun styling with plaiting techniques. ADDIE was used as the development model in this research. Respondents consisted of 37 students of class XI of the Beauty Cosmetology specialty program. Data collection techniques include observation, cognitive tests, psychomotor assessments, and student response questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Based on the assessment of media, material, and language aspects, an overall average score of 3.66 was obtained which was classified as “very feasible”. (2) Statistical analysis of cognitive results showed an increase in average results reaching 85. Meanwhile, psychomotor learning outcomes showed an average of 86, which is higher than the KKTP 75 indicating that students have achieved overall completeness. (3) With a student response percentage of 90.71%, which is classified in the “very good” category, it can be concluded that this media has a high level of effectiveness in its use. Thus, the video tutorial media for styling evening style bun with plaiting technique is declared feasible to use because it is practical, effective and gets a positive response from students.
