Abstract

The barbered hair in the salon is rarely reused by salon owners, only a few of them are used for economic value. Hair resistance includes resistance to heat, and has a rough texture so that it can bind more strongly. Hair extension is waste that comes from hair beauty salons in the form of haircuts that can be formed into hair extensions for certain purposes for a woman. The purpose of this study is to determine the validity and feasibility of hair extensions based on hair waste through sensory tests and favorability tests. The research method uses experiments, research objects of hair waste for the manufacture of hair extensions. data collection using observation and documentation, data analysis using descriptive percentages. The results of the hair extension research made from real hair waste were declared valid by the validator. Sensory test feasibility results from panelists with 3 beautician teachers, 2 salon owners had an average of 83.33% The feasibility results of the favorability test with 15 panelists had an average of 91.67%. Abstract

The activity of students in learning is still not optimal. To overcome this problem, it is important to apply the right learning model. This research aims to examine the implementation of project-based learning, as well as analyse the improvement of learning outcomes and student responses. The type of research carried out is Class Action Research (PTK). The subject of this research consists of 34 students in class X Skin and Hair Beauty at SMKN 1 Sooko, Mojokerto. Instruments used in research include: 1) observation instruments to assess the learning process; 2) test instruments that include data presentation and drawing conclusions or meaning. The results of the research show that: 1) the implementation of project-based learning took place for a maximum of two cycles, with a percentage of 100%; 2) there was a significant increase in cognitive learning results from cycle I to cycle II, namely from 15.63% to 43.75%, while the student project results also increased from 18.75% to 78.13%; 3) the student response to project-based learning showed a positive response, reflected by a decrease in the percentage in the 'less' category and an increase of 6.25% in the 'good' category, and a decrease of 5.25% in the 'less' category. In conclusion, the implementation of project-based learning has a positive impact on the improvement of student learning outcomes, and this can be seen from the better response from learners between cycle I and cycle II

Abstract

This research seeks to create a technology-based pigmentation facial care learning module that is relevant to the implementation of technology in facial health at SMKN 3 Kediri. The ADDIE model is structured into five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and assessment. The use of pre- and post-test control group designs is common in this type of research. To obtain quantitative data, skills tests are used which are carried out on material experts, media experts, and other aptitude tests, knowledge tests, etc. Quantitative data is used to test the suitability of material experts, media experts, knowledge tests and skills tests. The results of data analysis by media experts obtained an average score of 4.80 (very decent). The results of analysis by material experts obtained an average score of 4.63 (very decent). Student learning outcomes are significantly different when using (advanced) learning modules compared to traditional methods, as shown by the knowledge competency learning outcomes. Students do not fall below the minimum proficiency level as a result of learning skills. This means that the modules developed can help improve learning outcomes in knowledge and skills competencies.

Abstract

The subject of Anatomy and Physiology is often considered difficult by students due to its complex terminology and less engaging teaching methods, resulting in many students scoring below the minimum competency threshold of 75. The teaching model used by educators significantly impacts learning success. Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is an effective approach, but maintaining student engagement and motivation remains a challenge. This study integrates PBL with the interactive media Kahoot to create a more engaging learning experience. The research focuses on the implementation of the PBL model, improvement in student achievement, and student responses. A pre-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design was conducted on 32 Phase E TKKR students at SMK Labschool UNESA 1 Surabaya. Data were collected through cognitive tests, observations, and questionnaires. The results showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes, with a t-value of 18.839 and a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05. Additionally, 93% of students responded positively to the use of Kahoot, recognizing its role in enhancing interaction and providing quick feedback. Thus, the combination of PBL and Kahoot is proven to be effective in improving student learning outcomes and engagement in Anatomy and Physiology lessons. Abstract

Abstract The main issue identified yourlige salon is the decline in the number of customers, which affects the salon's revenue and operational stability. This study aims to analyze customer satisfaction levels at Yourligie Salon SMK 6 Surabaya using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) method. The research employs a quantitative approach with a survey design, where data is collected through questionnaires distributed to salon customers. The analysis is conducted using CSI calculations to measure customer satisfaction regarding tangible aspects, reliability, assurance, responsiveness, and empathy. The results indicate that the customer satisfaction level is 76.59%, suggesting that customers are satisfied with the services provided. The most satisfying aspects include product quality, facility comfort, and staff professionalism, while deficiencies were found in employee skills and facility completeness. In conclusion, although the salon's services are considered good, improvements are still needed in staff training and facility enhancement. Abstract

This study is motivated by the need of Muslim women for beauty care places that comply with Islamic principles. It aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic ethics in facial care services at Rumah Cantik Sehat Muslimah (RCSM) Salon in Malang, including the facilities supporting the application of Islamic ethics and consumer responses to the services provided. The research objectives are: (1) To understand the implementation of Islamic ethics in facial care services at RCSM Salon Malang, (2) To identify salon facilities that support the application of Islamic ethics at RCSM Salon Malang, (3) To assess consumer responses to the services and facilities at RCSM Salon Malang. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method. It was conducted at RCSM Salon Malang with research subjects including the owner, employees, and customers. Data was collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, with instruments such as observation guidelines, questionnaires, and interview guides. Data analysis was performed using techniques of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings are: (1) RCSM Salon has implemented Islamic ethical principles such as ihsan (optimalism), itqan (precision), honesty, and fairness. (2) Supporting facilities include exclusive spaces for women, halal-certified products, and prayer rooms. (3) Most consumers provided positive feedback on the services, although certain aspects, such as consistency in service time and transparency in service duration, need improvement. The conclusion of this study is that the application of Islamic ethics at RCSM Salon has successfully created services that meet the needs and values of Muslim women customers. Recommendations include enhancing employee training, ensuring service time transparency, and developing products and facilities to maintain competitiveness and service quality.Keywords: Islamic Ethics, Muslimah Salon, Facial Care, RCSM Malang, Sharia Services

Abstract

Cosmetics have been known for centuries where humans want to look beautiful and attractive. Cosmetics developed in Europa and Asia. South Korea is country with a very rapid development of the beauty world, the korean look trend has techniques, one of which is applying foundation with a korean spatula and applying foundation with a beauty blender which is a common choice of makeup artists around the world. The purpose of this study was to determine the final result and comparison of application with a korean spatula and beauty blender including aspects of coverage, smoothness, and durability. this study used quantitative with quasi exsperimental research design. the results proved that: (1) the coverage aspect of the korean spatula 3,1 gives a smooth and even effect but is not effective enough in covering blemishes and spots. the covverage aspect with the beauty blender 3,7 because it produces an even appearance and effectively covers blemishes and imperfections. (2) the smoothness aspect of the 3.7 korean spatula creates a fairlly even appearance because when applying it can reach widely and thinly which makes the foundation not lumpy while the 3.5 beauty blender is not better because the shape has quite a lot of pores making the smoothness results not smooth enough and the range is limited. (3) the durability aspect of the 3.3 korean spatula can last 3 hours because this technique of application on facial skin does not reach the pores while the beauty blender can last more thean 3 hours. Abstract

Perfect makeup results are the main focus of this research, especially in international bridal makeup, so choosing the right cosmetics is very important, especially for combination facial skin, so that the makeup sticks perfectly and lasts long. This study aims to determine: 1) the effect of using face oil on international bridal makeup on combination facial skin, 2) the effect of using moisturizer on international bridal makeup on combination facial skin, and 3) the difference in the results of international bridal makeup using face oil and moisturizer on combination facial skin. The research method used was experimental, with face oil and moisturizer as independent variables, and makeup results as the dependent variable. The results showed that the use of face oil produced an average of 3.52, classified as very good, while the use of moisturizer produced an average of 3.11, classified as good. The t-test showed a calculated t value of 3.647 with 58 degrees of freedom and a significant value of 0.001. Because 0.001 < 0.05, it can be concluded that in this study there is a significant difference between the use of face oil and moisturizer on the results of international bridal makeup on combination facial skin. Abstract

A common issue in applying base makeup on dry skin is the skin’s tendency to lose moisture easily, leading to cracked makeup if inappropriate products are used. This study aims to analyze the effect of using gel and stick base makeup types on dry skin for international bridal makeup results. The research focuses include: 1) the makeup results on dry skin using gel-based makeup, 2) the makeup results on dry skin using stick-based makeup, and 3) the differences in the makeup results on dry skin between gel-based and stick-based makeup. This study employs a quantitative method with a true-experimental approach. Gel and stick base makeup were applied to models with dry skin, and the results were evaluated by 30 respondents consisting of lecturers, makeup artists (MUAs), and cosmetology students who had taken bridal makeup courses. Assessments were conducted using observation sheets. The results indicate that: 1) the use of gel-based makeup received an average score of 3.02, categorized as good; 2) the use of stick-based makeup received an average score of 2.66, also categorized as good; and 3) there is a significant difference in the international bridal makeup results on dry skin between the use of gel-based and stick-based makeup, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The conclusion of this study is that both types of base makeup can be used on dry skin, but gel-based makeup provides superior results compared to stick-based makeup. Abstract

Turonggo Yakso as one of the cultural diversities in the form of traditional art that fascinates by offering not only entertainment but also a window into the richness of Indonesian culture and historical heritage. The results of the study based on the video tutorial competition and creative business ideas in the field of make-up aim to provide a positive contribution in introducing Indonesian culture, especially the art of make-up in the Turonggo Yakso dance, both nationally and internationally. The research and development (R&D) approach was used with the 4D model (define, design, develop, disseminate). The results of the study showed that the make-up that was developed was able to create a stunning visual appearance while maintaining cultural values. The resulting video tutorial won 1st place nationally, demonstrating its effectiveness in preserving culture and inspiring the community and students to be more active in preserving traditional arts through digital platforms.
