Abstract

Inclusive education is a form of educational service provided by the government for students with special needs. Inclusive education is a forum for equalizing the development of students' potential. Students with special needs often have obstacles in learning, such as those with dyslexia. The film Taare Zamen Par is a public exemplary media about the implementation of inclusive education and the problems that occur in dealing with children with special needs, such as the paradigm of society that still discredits children with special needs. The purpose of this study is to determine and evaluate the relevance of the humanistic theory approach in the implementation of inclusive education, through a study in the film Taare Zamen Par. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. The method used in the analysis is the semiotic method. This study shows that the humanistic approach is relevant to be applied in the implementation of inclusive education. Referring to the results of the film review, it shows several forms of the humanistic approach, including; overcoming low self-esteem, getting to know students' personalities and their environment through sense and sensibility, building empathy, involving families as a support system, and exploring students' talents.

Abstract

Seeing a social sign, results in striving to derive the meaning from the sign when it is used. One of the events that appear in various types of social sign is a disaster. It creates various myths that also act as a social sign; one of them is a myth about the relationship between humans and nature. This study aims to explain the perception of the local community in the Sumber Mujur village of Semeru Mountain Slope about social signs made as myth postdisaster eruption in 2022. The myth that is believed by the local community proved to have relevance to ecological sustainability. This research uses qualitative methods through deep interviewing technique. Informants in this study are a local community in the Semeru Mountain area, East Java which is part of the 2021 Semeru eruption survivors. Based on existing findings, most myths grow in line with a scientific view. Although the background or ways of working is different, myth and logos have compatible relevance in the context of ecology sustainability. This study concludes that myths give impact on society's attitude so as to maintain ecological sustainability, as well as a form of cultural adaptation, both in terms of conservation awareness and mitigation.

Abstract

ABSTRACTEducation in Indonesia today needs special attention, many factors cause a lack of interest in students in honing their reading and arithmetic skills. Through the existing problems, this study was written with the aim of analyzing the reading and arithmetic skills of grade 1 students of SD Muhammadiyah 17 Surabaya through the use of picture media. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method, three stages are used in descriptive analysis, the first is reduction, data display, and verification. The findings of this study show that the reading and arithmetic skills of grade 1 students of SD Muhammadiyah 17 Surabaya through. The use of pictorial media can have a positive impact such as increasing confidence, increasing students' enthusiasm to hone their reading and arithmetic skills, and creating a conducive learning atmosphere so that students are able to understand the material taught happily and easily.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine how well the interactive learning resource Wordwall works as an assessment tool for Science and Social Studies (IPAS) instruction at the elementary school level.. Wordwall, a digital-based platform, offers various interactive features that support more engaging and efficient evaluation processes. The study used a qualitative-descriptive methodology, gathering data through interviews and observation. Teachers and fifth-graders were the study's subjects at SD Muhammadiyah 7 Surabaya who had implemented Wordwall in their learning evaluations. The findings revealed that Wordwall usage could enhance students' learning motivation, provide enjoyable and meaningful evaluation experiences, and offer more effective feedback to teachers. Moreover, this media allows students to learn independently through enjoyable evaluation activities. However, challenges such as limited technological devices and internet access were identified as obstacles to its implementation. This study recommends the gradual integration of Wordwall into IPAS learning to improve the quality of evaluations and students' learning outcomes.

Abstract

Permasalahan mendasar yang dihadapi oleh anak-anak di SB Muhammadiyah Kepong adalah sebagian besar dari mereka merupakan anak TKI yang tidak memiliki dokumen administrasi pendidikan yang lengkap di Malaysia, sehingga sulit untuk mengakses pendidikan formal. Permasalahan yang sering dihadapi oleh anak TKI adalah kesibukan orang tua yang bekerja. Minimnya pendampingan orang tua dalam tumbuh kembangnya menyebabkan mereka kurang pengawasan sehingga berada pada posisi yang rentan terhadap kekerasan seksual. Program ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi pencegahan kekerasan seksual pada anak dengan pendekatan yang sesuai dan ramah usia, memanfaatkan popularitas Barbie di kalangan anak-anak. Melalui metode penyuluhan dan edukasi yang menggabungkan bercerita, bernyanyi, serta permainan interaktif, anak-anak diajak memahami bagian tubuh yang tidak boleh disentuh serta tindakan yang harus diambil jika mengalami kekerasan. Tahapan pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi kepada pengurus, penyuluhan interaktif, icebreaking, dan penggunaan boneka dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa mengenai materi yang disampaikan, terlihat dari kemampuan mereka menjawab dengan benar dalam post-test. Kegiatan ini diakhiri dengan deklarasi pencegahan kekerasan seksual sebagai upaya membangun sekolah ramah anak, sekaligus mengubah paradigma tabu pendidikan seksual di kalangan guru dan masyarakat setempat. Program ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya keterlibatan figur guru dalam pembentukan sikap positif pada siswa serta perlunya edukasi sejak dini dalam mencegah kekerasan seksual pada anak

Abstract

Pendidikan lingkungan dan kesetaraan gender pada anak usia dini sangat penting untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran akan isu keberlanjutan dan kesetaraan sejak usia dini. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pendidikan lingkungan dan dan adil gender pada anak usia dini di TK 02 Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Pondok Modern Paciran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan triangulasi, yakni observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analsiis data secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pendidikan lingkungan dan dan adil gender pada anak usia dini di TK 02 Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Pondok Modern Paciran dilakukan melalui kebijakan, program unggulan, dan pendekatan guru, di antaranya; gerakan membawa botol dan tempat makan reuse, gerakan makan ikan untuk mengoptimalkan potensi sumber daya alam lokal. Di aspek adil gender sekolah memiliki pendekatan pelibatan aktif ibu dan ayah dalam kegiatan sekolah seperti perlombaan, pembacaan hasil evaluasi pembelajaran peserta didik, serta terintegrasi dalam berbagai materi atau tema pembelajaran.

Abstract

Sumber daya manusia berkualitas merupakan kunci kemajuan suatu bangsa. Sebagai tenaga pendidik guru memiliki peranan penting dalam mengantarkan kualitas sumber daya suatu generasi. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, guru diharuskan memiliki profesionalitas. Profesi keguruan dapat digolongkan sebagai profesi karena telah memenuhi kriteria baik dalam keahlian maupun proses pemerolehannya yang didapatkan melalui pendidikan tinggi. Seorang guru yang dikatakan profesional apabila guru tersebut memiliki kualitas pembelajaran yang tinggi. Pendidikan abad 21 dengan menghendaki profesionalisme guru melalui peningkatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia yang melek kemajuan teknologi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hakikat profesionalitas guru, kriteria dan manfaat profesionalitas guru, serta prinsip pengembangan profesionalitas guru. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan atau studi kepustakaan (library research). Guru yang professional menurut Undang undang Republik Indonesia nomor 14 pasal 10 tahun 2005 adalah guru yang memiliki kompetensi yang pedagogik, kepribadian, profesional dan sosial. Sementara itu, profesionalitas guru pada pendidikan abad 21 menekankan pada kompetensi problem solving dan literasi.

Abstract

This research aims to look at the use of mini book media to improve the reading and writing skills of students at the elementary school Muhammadiyah 2 Surabaya. This research uses a qualitative approach, where data is collected using structured interview techniques and documentation. The informant in this research was a class IV teacher. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman data triangulation model. The results of the research show that mini book media is the media used by fourth grade teachers at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Surabaya in the teaching and learning process in class. This is due to the flexibility of the media in each lesson, as well as the ease of creating and using it in learning and being liked by students.

Abstract

Biology learning materials, particularly on the reproductive system, often emphasize mechanistic and biological aspects while overlooking the importance of integrating adolescent sex education and gender equity values. This gap may perpetuate misconceptions and gender bias among students. This study aims to critically analyze the representation of gender equity and sexuality education in senior high school Biology textbooks through a critical discourse analysis framework. A qualitative research design was employed, utilizing Norman Fairclough’s three-dimensional model consisting of text analysis, discourse practice analysis, and social practice analysis. The study involved three widely used Grade XI Biology textbooks, including one government-issued and two private publishers' editions as comparative data sources. The findings reveal a uniform pattern of placing reproductive system topics at the end of the textbooks, predominantly presenting anatomical and physiological content without integrating comprehensive, inclusive, and gender-equitable sexuality education. Moreover, the textbooks demonstrate gender bias, insufficient discussions on consent, sexual violence, and unequal access to contraceptive information. This study concludes that the textbooks reproduce patriarchal ideologies and exclusive scientific discourse, failing to address adolescents' psychosocial and ethical aspects of sexuality. The findings highlight the urgent need for textbook revisions that promote comprehensive, gender-equitable, and contextually relevant sex education for high school students.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                            Keluarga nelayan di wilayah pesisir Paciran menghadapi tantangan ketergantungan tinggi terhadap hasil tangkapan laut yang menyebabkan pendapatan fluktuatif, terutama saat musim paceklik. Perempuan nelayan memiliki potensi besar dalam meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga melalui pengolahan hasil laut, namun terhambat oleh keterbatasan keterampilan teknis, pengetahuan pemasaran, akses teknologi, serta dukungan kelembagaan. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan perempuan nelayan melalui diversifikasi produk olahan hasil laut berbasis kearifan lokal dan teknologi tepat guna. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi sosialisasi, workshop, penyuluhan, dan praktikum yang difokuskan pada peningkatan keterampilan teknis (pengolahan dan pengemasan), penguatan pengetahuan manajemen usaha kecil, serta literasi pemasaran digital. Mitra kegiatan adalah Paguyuban Perempuan Paciran Berdaya yang beranggotakan 14 orang (5 lulusan SMP, 6 lulusan SMA, dan 3 lulusan perguruan tinggi). Evaluasi dilakukan secara partisipatif melalui observasi lapangan, kuesioner, wawancara mendalam, dan forum refleksi untuk mengukur peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan, kepercayaan diri, pengelolaan keuangan, pembentukan usaha baru, dan partisipasi kelompok. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan usaha mikro (85%), kepercayaan diri (80%), pengelolaan keuangan keluarga (75%), pembentukan usaha baru (60%), dan keterlibatan aktif dalam kelompok usaha (70%). Peningkatan ini selaras dengan tujuan program, yakni memperkuat pengetahuan dan keterampilan perempuan nelayan dalam mengolah hasil laut, mengelola usaha, serta memasarkan produk secara lebih efektif. Kata kunci: pemberdayaan perempuan; keluarga nelayan; diversifikasi produk olahan laut; pemasaran digital; ekonomi pesisir berkelanjutan ABSTRACTFishing families in the coastal area of Paciran face the challenge of high dependency on marine catches, which results in fluctuating income, particularly during the off-season. Fisherwomen hold significant potential to increase household income through seafood processing; however, they are constrained by limited technical skills, inadequate marketing knowledge, restricted access to technology, and insufficient institutional support. This community service program aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of fisherwomen through the diversification of seafood products based on local wisdom and appropriate technology. The implementation methods include socialization, workshops, counseling, and practical training focused on improving technical skills (processing and packaging), strengthening knowledge of small business management, and developing digital marketing literacy. The program’s partner is the Paguyuban Perempuan Paciran Berdaya (Empowered Paciran Women’s Association), consisting of 14 members (5 junior high school graduates, 6 senior high school graduates, and 3 university graduates). Evaluation was conducted participatively through field observation, questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and reflection forums to measure improvements in knowledge, skills, self-confidence, financial management, establishment of new businesses, and group participation. The results indicate significant improvements in micro-enterprise skills (85%), self-confidence (80%), household financial management (75%), establishment of new businesses (60%), and active involvement in business groups (70%). These improvements are in line with the program’s objectives, namely strengthening fisherwomen’s knowledge and skills in processing seafood, managing enterprises, and marketing products more effectively. Keywords: women’s empowerment; fishing families; seafood product diversification; digital marketing; sustainable coastal economy
