Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of the Arabica and Robusta coffee markets in Indonesia with world coffee prices. The study uses secondary data in the form of annual time series data during the period 1985 - 2015. The study uses the VECM analysis method. This method explains the relationship of long-term dynamic equilibrium and short-term equilibrium in a system of equations. The analysis shows that Indonesian and world Arabica coffee is not integrated in the long term or the short term. In Robusta coffee VECM estimation analysis shows that there is a significant value at the 10% level in a long-term relationship with a value of 0.08579, which means that there is a short-term relationship between world Robusta coffee prices and domestic Robusta coffee prices in the previous year, but no relationship in the long run.

Abstract

Indonesia, as the world's largest archipelagic country located on the equator, has a significant economy, primarily through the agricultural sector. To increase agricultural yields, efforts are needed to improve the quality of human resources, particularly farmers, one of which is through extension activities. This study aims to determine the level of satisfaction of sweet corn farmers with the performance of agricultural extension services in Giripurno Village, Bumiaji District, Batu City. This study employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a Likert Scale and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). The results indicate that farmer satisfaction is very high and that extension services play a significant role in agricultural businesses. However, extension workers still need to improve the quality of service and program effectiveness so that all farmers can optimally benefit.

Abstract

Bocek Village. once produced 1.650 tons of red chillies in 2017. However. the problem that farmers often complain about is price fluctuations. which affect farmers' income. Other factors are land area. production yields. and production costs. The purpose of this study was to analyze the level of income. feasibility and factors that influence red chili farming income. This research is a descriptive-quantitative study with a population of 207 farmers and a sample of 37 farmers determined through simple random sampling through a questionnaire instrument and analyzed using the revenue formula (total revenue = production obtained x selling price). production cost formula (total cost = fixed cost + variable cost) . the revenue formula (revenue = total revenue – total cost). and the feasibility formula (R/C). The results of the study stated that the average level of red chili farming income at the research location was 129.609.150 per year. This was obtained from an average total revenue of 178.647.297 and an average total production cost of 49.038.147 per season or per year. Furthermore. the results of this farming feasibility assessment were declared feasible based on the value of the ratio of revenues and production costs of 3.64> 1.
