Abstract

The task of a teacher as an educator greatly determines the success of their students, so they must be able to choose the appropriate models of learning, approaches, strategies, methods, and learning techniques. The purpose of this research is first, to determine whether there is a relationship between the use of instructional videos and the improvement of Islamic religious learning outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic for 4th-grade students at SDN 001 Bontang Utara in the 2020/2021 academic year. Second, to determine the relationship between the use of instructional videos and the improvement of Islamic religious learning outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic for 4th-grade students at SDN 001 Bontang Utara in the 2020/2021 academic year. This research was conducted at SDN 001 Bontang Utara for 2 months, from April 1st to June 2nd, 2021, with the participation of the school principal, teachers, students, and parents. In seeking accurate data on this issue, the researcher used a quantitative approach through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and structured documentation, which were then analyzed during the fieldwork and validated. The research results based on hypothesis testing obtained a value of 2.1799, which is greater than the t-table value of 1.993, thus it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between instructional videos and the improvement of Islamic religious learning outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic for 4th-grade students at SDN 001 Bontang Utara in the 2020/2021 academic year. This means that the use of instructional videos can be used in learning to improve the learning outcomes of Islamic religious subjects during the COVID-19 pandemic for 4th-grade students at SDN 001 Bontang Utara in the 2020/2021 academic year. To all education observers/managers and implementers, the researcher recommends further research and/or finding more influential learning media to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The digitalization era presents many challenges and new opportunities in Islamic Education, requiring school principals as supervisors to play an active role in leveraging digital technology by involving teachers to improve students' Islamic Education learning achievements. This study aims to analyze the role of the school principal as a supervisor, the utilization of digital technology in the learning process, and the impact of this role on improving students' learning achievements. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative with observation, interview, and documentation methods. The research subjects are the school principal, Islamic Education teachers, and students. The results of the study show the importance of the school principal's role as an active supervisor, providing guidance and support as well as teacher involvement in technology-based learning to create a learning environment that enhances students' Islamic Education achievements. The conclusion from the study results is that the active role of the school principal and the professionalism of teachers are crucial in ensuring that the use of digital technology positively impacts students' learning achievements. Improving Islamic Education learning achievements in the digitalization era can occur partly due to the active role of the school principal in providing technology, support and training for teachers, as well as supervision and evaluation.

Abstract

This research discusses the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in forming attitudes of religious tolerance in the digital era of class II students at SD Negeri 007 North Bontang for the 2023/2024 academic year. This research aims to determine the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in forming students' attitudes of religious tolerance as well as forms of student tolerance in the digital era by conducting observations, interviews and documentation to collect data. The research results show the important role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in forming attitudes of religious tolerance through conveying messages of tolerance, mentoring in religious activities, and providing role models. Based on the research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that the role of Islamic Religious Education teachers in forming an attitude of religious tolerance is to provide understanding regarding mutual respect and appreciation for both those of the same religion and those of different religions. So that a good attitude of religious tolerance is formed in students, such as mutual respect and respect for fellow friends, working together, playing, helping students who have difficulty viewing religion, eating together after religious activities and being obedient and obedient to all teachers, both Muslims and non-Muslims.

Abstract

This research aim to discusses the effectiveness of using instructional videos to improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning for third-grade students at SDN 011 Bontang Selatan. It examines how effective the use of instructional videos is in enhancing the understanding of Islamic Religious Education in the digital era for students at SDN 011 Bontang Selatan. The background of this research revolves around the learning system using instructional videos to enhance the understanding of PAI. The purpose of this study is to determine whether the effectiveness of using instructional videos can improve the understanding of Islamic Religious Education in the digital era and how the understanding of Islamic Religious Education among students at SDN 011 Bontang Selatan has improved using instructional videos in the digital era during the 2023/2024 academic year compared to before the use of instructional videos. This research is qualitative in nature. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques employed are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the research on the effectiveness of using instructional videos in improving the understanding of Islamic Religious Education in the digital era among third-grade students at SDN 011 Bontang Selatan, using data reviews through interviews, observations, and documents conducted both directly and online, indicate that digital-based learning greatly aids the learning process and plays a significant role in building students' learning motivation. The conclusion from this research is that the use of instructional videos has proven effective in enhancing students' understanding of Islamic Religious Education in the digital era. This is evident from the significant improvement in their understanding of Islamic Religious Education compared to traditional teaching methods previously used.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the use of WhatsApp Groups as control tools in distance learning to improve Al learning outcomes Quran for class VI students at Bintang Bontang Elementary School for the 2023/2024 academic year. Study carried out using a descriptive qualitative approach. Subject The research consisted of teachers and sixth grade students who were involved in learning Al Quran via the Whatsapp platform. Data collection is carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that The use of WhatsApp Group as a control tool can be effective in improve the quality and results of students' Al-Quran learning. This research giving the impact that technology can be an effective means for supporting religious learning, especially in the context of distance learning much more relevant today. The results of this study suggest so that schools and teachers are more active in using digital technology in their efforts improve the quality of Al-Quran learning and prepare students face future technological challenges. In conclusion, utilization Whatsapp Group improves students' Al Quran learning outcomes by supporting integration of technology in effective religious education.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the Information System Application for Student Activities (SIAS) program in improving the discipline of female students at Pondok Modern Daarul Hikmah Bontang during the 2023/2024 academic year. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection methods including observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the use of the SIAS application has a positive impact on the discipline of female students. The application assists the Musyrifah in effectively supervising and controlling the activities of female students within the Pondok Modern Daarul Hikmah Bontang environment through Android phones. Additionally, the presence of the SIAS application has led to increased discipline among female students, as evidenced by their participation in boarding school activities and a reduction in rule violations. The implications of the Information System Application for Student Activities are designed by considering needs that encompass various important aspects, as the application is equipped with features that greatly aid in the supervision and control of female students' activities.

Abstract

Background:The prevalence of cancer in Indonesia increases every year. Medical treatments such as chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation require significant costs with considerable side effects. Therefore, there is a need for chemopreventive agents from natural sources such as plants. One plant with potential as a chemopreventive agent is the matoa tree (Pometia pinnata), which is empirically used to treat suppurating wounds.Objectives: This research aims to test the toxicity of leaf and stem bark fractions of matoa using shrimp larvae Artemia salina Leach. Methods: The parameter for this study is the LC50 value. The extraction method involves successive maceration using solvents based on increasing polarity, starting with n-hexane, chloroform, ethyl acetate, and methanol. Phytochemical screening is conducted using colour tests, and toxicity is assessed through the brine shrimp lethality test. The research indicates that all fractions of matoa leaves and stem bark are toxic with respective LC50 values for leaf fractions: n-hexane (394.8 µg/mL), chloroform (244.3 µg/mL), ethyl acetate (180.6 µg/mL), and methanol (303.2 µg/mL). Stem bark fractions exhibit LC50 values in the order of n-hexane (203.9 µg/mL), chloroform (244.3 µg/mL), ethyl acetate (144.8 µg/mL), and methanol (58.3 µg/mL). Conclusions: All fractions fall into the toxic category and have the potential as raw materials for anti-cancer drugs.

Abstract

Doi Menre' (gift money) can be returned after the divorce takes place even though husband and wife relations have previously occurred (ba‘da duhul). This research examines the practice of returning doi menre' (gifted money) ba‘da duhul, the social dynamics that influence it, as well as sociology of Islamic Law and Islamic Education perspectives regarding the practice of returning doi menre' (gifted money) ba‘da duhul for the Bugis community in South Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. This qualitative research employs a socio-empirical approach, including interviews with those who have returned doi menre' (gifted money) ba‘da duhul's, traditional leaders, community leaders, and religious leaders. The results of the research revealed that the return of doi menre' ba‘da duhul's was practiced in two stages, namely the pre-wedding verbal agreement stage and the stage of returning the doi menre' (gifted money). Three social dynamics influence the return of doi menre' ba‘da duhul's, namely; there was an oral agreement before the marriage took place, no solution was found to the marriage problems, and following the habits of some Bugis people in resolving divorce cases. Islamic education in the tradition of returning doi menre' ba‘da duhul in Bugis marriage law plays a foundation in forming principled, moral, fair in building a household, and contribute positively to social life. Sociological studies of Islamic law view that the practice of returning doi menre' (gifted money) is a managed system in the actions of the Bugis community which combines customary law and Islamic law in resolving divorce cases. In the end, research can participate in developing an assessment of the struggle between customary law and Islamic law in resolving marriage cases in Islamic communities.

Abstract

Dalam kehidupan modern, pacaran ini biasanya mulai muncul pada masa awal pubertas. Perubahan hormon dan fisik membuat kita mulai tertarik pada lawan jenis. Proses saling menyayangi antara dua manusia dengan jenis kelamin yang berbeda merupakan proses mengenal, memahami dan sekaligus belajar membina hubungan dengan lawan jenis sebagai persiapan sebelum menikah untuk menghindari terjadinya ketidakcocokan dan permasalahan pada saat sudah menikah. Masing-masing berusaha mengenal kebiasaan, karakter atau sifat, serta reaksi-reaksi terhadap berbagai masalah maupun peristiwa. Pacaran berarti upaya untuk mencari seorang teman dekat dan di dalamnya terdapat hubungan belajar mengkomunikasikan kepada pasangan, membangun kedekatan emosi, dan proses pendewasaan kepribadian. Pacaran biasanya dimulai dengan membuat janji, dating lalu bikin komitment tertentu dan apabila di antara remaja ada kecocokan maka akan dilanjutkan dengan berpacaran. Pada banyak kasus hubungan antar remaja di Indonesia, pacaran acapkali menimbulkan hubungan seksual di luar pernikahan. Oleh masyarakat Makassar, permasalahan pelanggaran dalam pacaran diatasi dengan menerapkan Budaya Siri’.

Abstract

This article discusses the influence of using digital media Wordwall towards increasing the activeness of classroom students' Islamic religious education learning VI at SD Negeri 010 North Bontang for the 2023/2024 academic year. Digital media Wordwall is a learning application that can simplify the learning process so this research aims to determine the impact of use learning applications and knowing the increase in learning activities students, the research method used is quantitative using a sample of 83 students. Data is collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation Apart from the impact, there has also been an increase active PAI learning through digital media Wordwall which produces results an increase of 13.9%. Based on the results of data processing and data analysis So it can be concluded that there is an impact from Wordwall digital media towards increasing active learning in Islamic religious education, along with its impacts Active learning about Islamic religious education through the media is also increasing digital word wall.
