Abstract

Optimal raw material inventory is an important factor in the smooth production process of a company. This raw material can be controlled using certain methods, one of which is the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method which has a better level of calculation accuracy than conventional methods. The aim of the research is to examine more deeply the use of the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method in controlling raw material inventories and to increase inventory cost efficiency at PT Jimat Perkasa Farm. The object of this research is the amount of use, the amount of raw material inventory as well as ordering costs and storage costs for raw materials. The results of the research using the EOQ method calculation for the most economical ordering of seaweed pulp raw material in 2023 were 1,369 tons with an ordering frequency of 2 times. Safety stock of raw materials for seaweed dregs in 2023 is 102 tons. With a lead time of 1 days, it can be seen that the reorder point for seaweed pulp raw material in 2023 will be 110 tons. The total inventory costs for raw materials incurred by PT Jimat Perkasa Farm based on the results of EOQ calculations, it turns out that the total inventory costs are smaller than the total inventory costs that have been calculated by the company. The total cost of seaweed pulp supplies that must be spent by PT Jimat Perkasa Farm in 2023 using the EOQ method is IDR 2,190,890

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) model for tuna trash fish in the coastal area of Pasuruan by involving three leading actors in the supply chain: fishermen, collectors, and processing businesses. The approach method used is the Rapid Appraisal for Fisheries (RAPFISH), based on Multidimensional Scaling (MDS), to evaluate the level of sustainability across environmental, social, and economic dimensions. The results show that collectors are in the fairly sustainable category (73.50%), while fishermen (55.62%) and Micro enterprise of trash fish type tuna (55.27%) are at the lower limit of the same category. The main levers for each actor include occupational safety, labor cost efficiency, and working environment conditions. The main conclusion states that the sustainability of the tuna supply chain still requires cross-dimensional improvements. The implications of these results underscore the importance of targeted actor capacity-building strategies, such as occupational safety training for fishermen, digitizing collector administration, and enhancing consumer services in micro enterprises of trash fish type Tuna, as well as opening up opportunities for further research based on an integrative approach to support long-term sustainability.

Abstract

Abstract The development of the furniture industry today is getting tougher so that businesses are required to make improvement and increase its performance thus able to grow and compete, one of them is CV. KOKOH is a company that manufactures, study chair covers, windows sills, doors, cabinets, tables, etc., by applying the make to order system. The focus of this research study on the seat due to dominate demand for these products amounted to 60% of all types of products manufactured. The purpose of this study is to identify waste and to analyze the causes of waste that occurs in the production process chair learning approach by using the tools of lean manufacturing value stream mapping (VSM), value stream analysis tools (VALSAT) and failure mode and affects analysis (FMEA). The result is that based process mapping activity, which belong to the value adding activity Is operating with a requirement for 6.840 second or as many as 45 activity or by 58,34%, necessary but non-value added activity is the activity of transportation and inspection needs 2.505 seconds or as much as 23 activity or by 21,37% as well as belonging to the non value adding activity is the activity of storage  and delay with the time requirements of 2.380 Seconds or as much as 34 activity or by 20,29% of the total time and decrease production time of 138,4 minutes into 11723,93 seconds occur time reduction of production lead time process for 9347 seconds whit a decrease in the amount of 79.72%.
