Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop learning model Time Token based on the local discernment in traditional games through contextual learning approach in increasing the Lampung language speaking ability. This learning model development of this research using the cycle by considering the reflection result in every implementation of learning. The data collection techniques used are observation and speaking ability test. Based on the research, the result of learning model Time Token based on the local discernment in traditional games through contextual learning approach was effective to increase the students speaking ability in the Lampung language. The result of the research showed that there was a significant increase of students speaking ability from pre-cycles, the first cycles until the second cycle in every aspect of assessment and the target of indicator reached about 80% for the good score category.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan model pembelajaran time token berbasis kearifan lokal dalam bentuk permainan tradisional melalui pendekatan kontekstual dan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa dalam berbahasa Lampung. Penelitian ini adalah pengembangan model pembelajaran yang uji efektifitasnya menggunakan siklus dengan mempertimbangkan hasil refleksi di setiap pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan test kemampuan berbicara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran time token berbasis kearifan lokal dalam bentuk permainan tradisional melalui pendekatan kontekstual efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa dalam berbahasa Lampung, dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan penilaian kemampuan berbicara siswa dari pra siklus, siklus 1, hingga siklus II di setiap aspek penilaian, serta telah mencapai indikator yang direncanakan yakni terdapat 80% siswa mendapat kategori penilaian baik.Kata kunci: Kearifan lokal, kemampuan berbicara, kontekstual, time token.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to find out the types of grammatical errors in students’ descriptive writing and to find out the most frequent type of errors in students’ descriptive writing. The method of this research is a descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected from 22 descriptive writings which were written by the students. The researcher used the writings as the instrument. In this research, all types of grammatical errors were classified and described based on surface strategy taxonomy by Dulay Burt, and Krashen (1982). Based on the result of the analysis, there were 670 grammatical errors found in the students’ descriptive writing. Misformation error occupies the first rank with 286 errors. Then following closely is omission error with 260 errors, next is addition error with 90 errors, and the last one is misorder error with 34 errors.Keywords: Error Analysis, Surface Strategy Taxonomy, Writing, Second Language.
