Abstract

The background of this research is the low activity and achievement of students' mathematics learning, one of which is due to the selection of learning models that are less varied. The activities of students are only limited to listening, taking notes, then doing practice questions. Discovery Learning is a learning model that directs students to be able to find concepts through the learning process they do which is expected to increase the activities and learning achievements of students. This type of research is a classroom action research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles and each cycle contains the stages of action planning, action implementation, observation, and evaluation, as well as a reflection stage. The results showed that there was an increase in the activity and learning achievement of students where the learning activities of students in the first cycle with an average score of 10.51 were categorized as high, while in the second cycle with an average score of 13.67, they were categorized as very high. The average score of the learning evaluation results of students has increased in each cycle, namely in the first cycle the average score of the learning evaluation results was 72.65 with a percentage of 62.07% completeness and in the second cycle the average score of the learning evaluation results was 79.24 with a percentage of completeness of 86.21%. Based on the achievements obtained, it can be concluded that the Discovery learning model can increase the activity and learning achievement of students in learning tangents to circles.

Abstract

Abstrak. Grup bilangan rasional (Q, +) sebagai modul atas daerah integral bilangan bulat (Z, +,˙) (Z-modul Q) merupakan contoh modul khusus yang mempunyai sifat-sifat yang unik yang sangat penting dalam munculnya konsep dan sifat dalam aljabar, khususnya dalam teori modul. Sifat yang sudah sangat dikenal adalah Z-modul Q merupakan modul torsi yang tidak bebas, dan lebih jauh modul Z-modul Q/Z merupakan modul torsi tak hingga. Dalam paper ini akan dipersentasikan hasil kajian Z-modul Q dalam kaitannya dengan struktur modul faktorisasi tunggal. Diperoleh bahwa Z-modul Q mempunyai sifat tidak memiliki elemen primitif yang kemudian berakibat dalam Z-modul Q tidak terdapat submodul siklik yang dibangun oleh suatu elemen primitif yang merupakan submodul murni. Selanjutnya akan dikaji peran Z-modul Q dalam kaitannya dengan konsep D-submodul fraksional dan konsep M -ideal fraksional dalam teori modul aritmatik. Lebih jauh akan dikaji sifat Z-modul Q dalam kaitannya dengan modul injektif dan modul miskin. Diperoleh sifat Z-modul Q mempunyai sifat keterbagian, keinjektifan, dan merupakan amplop injektif bagi setiap submodul Q. Sebagai ring, Q merupakan ring semisederhana dan Artinian sehingga setiap modul atas Q merupakan modul miskin.

Abstract

A pullback of two morphisms with a common codomain $f\colon A\to C$ and $g\colon B\to C$ is the limit of a diagram consisting $f$ and $g$. The dual notion of a pullback is called a pushout. A pushout of two morphisms with a common domain $k\colon A\to B$ and $l\colon A\to C$ is the colimit of a diagram consisting $k$ and $l$. The pullback and the pushout of two morphisms need not exists. In this paper, we constructed a pullback and a pushout of two morphism in category of topological modules. A pullback of two continuous homomorphisms $f\colon A\to C$ and $g\colon B\to C$ in category of topological modules is a diagram that contains $A\times _{C} B=\{(a,b)\in A\times B \mid f(a)=g(b)\}\subset A\times B$ with the subspace topology on $A\times _{C} B$. Furthermore, the pushout of two continuous homomorphisms $k\colon A\to B$ and $l\colon A\to C$ in category of topological modules is a diagram that contains $B\bigoplus_{A} C=(B\bigoplus C)/\sim$ where $\sim$ is the smallest equivalence relation containing the pairs $(k(a),l(a))$ for all $a\in A$ and topology on $B\bigoplus C$ is coproduct topology $\tau_{coprod}$

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas program pendampingan literasi dan numerasi di Rumah Belajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) di Desa Mujur, Kecamatan Praya Timur. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode pengabdian melalui pendekatan pendidikan, di mana pembinaan literasi dan numerasi diterapkan pada 7 siswa dari kelas 3 hingga 6. Hasil analisis data prates dan postes menunjukkan bahwa intervensi dengan pendekatan TaRL berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan akademik siswa secara signifikan. Dalam numerasi, rata-rata nilai siswa naik dari 38,57 pada prates menjadi 79,57 pada postes, dengan peningkatan yang signifikan pada nilai minimum dan maksimum. Meskipun terdapat peningkatan kecil dalam standar deviasi, hal ini mencerminkan peningkatan kemampuan numerasi sebagian besar siswa, meskipun masih ada variasi di antara mereka. Dalam literasi, rata-rata nilai meningkat dari 37,57 pada prates menjadi 85,29 pada postes, dan standar deviasi menurun dari 11,886 menjadi 9,069, yang menunjukkan peningkatan kesetaraan hasil belajar di antara siswa. Secara keseluruhan, program pendampingan ini terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi kesenjangan akademik dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Desa Mujur dengan pendekatan yang disesuaikan dengan kemampuan siswa.Abstract: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the literacy and numeracy mentoring program at Rumah Belajar using the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach in Desa Mujur, Praya Timur District. The research was conducted using a service-based educational approach, with literacy and numeracy development applied to 7 students from grades 3 to 6. Analysis of pre-test and post-test data reveals that the TaRL approach significantly improved students' academic abilities. In numeracy, the average score increased from 38.57 in the pre-test to 79.57 in the post-test, with notable improvements in both minimum and maximum scores. Although there was a slight increase in standard deviation, this indicates an overall enhancement in numeracy skills among most students, despite some remaining variation. In literacy, the average score rose from 37.57 in the pre-test to 85.29 in the post-test, with a decrease in standard deviation from 11.886 to 9.069, reflecting improved equity in learning outcomes among students. Overall, the mentoring program proved effective in reducing academic gaps and enhancing educational quality in Desa Mujur by tailoring the approach to students' skill levels.

Abstract

This study aims to measure students' creative thinking abilities based on the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT), which include fluency, flexibility, and novelty. It is a descriptive-qualitative study designed to describe and interpret tasks related to Group Theory in the Algebra Structure course. The learning process was conducted over three sessions, each involving structured discussions to assess students' abilities and creativity in learning Algebra Structure, supported by the Batik Sasambo design. The results show that applying the Batik Sasambo design in Algebra Structure learning can enhance students' creative thinking in understanding the concept of algebraic structures and solving simple algebra problems. In the first session, only some aspects of creativity were evident. For example, the observed components were fluency and flexibility. However, by the final session, all three aspects of creativity appeared simultaneously.

Abstract

AbstrakKegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan konsep dasar kriptografi, khususnya Caesar Cipher dan Vigenère Cipher, secara sederhana kepada siswa kelas V sebagai upaya menumbuhkan kesadaran akan pentingnya keamanan data pribadi sejak usia dini. Pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi penyampaian materi, kerja kelompok dalam menyusun dan memecahkan sandi, serta evaluasi melalui observasi dan kuesioner. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi dari para siswa serta dukungan penuh dari pihak sekolah. Rata-rata skor penilaian kegiatan sebesar 3,6 (kategori baik), yang mencerminkan efektivitas pendekatan yang digunakan. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap peningkatan literasi digital siswa, sekaligus membuka peluang untuk pengembangan program lanjutan, seperti pelatihan bagi guru dan pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis keamanan digital. Kata kunci: kriptografi; caesar cipher; vigenère cipher; literasi digital. AbstractThis activity aimed to introduce the basic concepts of cryptography, particularly the Caesar Cipher and Vigenère Cipher, in a simple manner to fifth-grade students as an effort to raise awareness of the importance of personal data security from an early age. The implementation of the activity included the delivery of material, group work in creating and deciphering codes, and evaluation through observation and questionnaires. The results showed a high level of enthusiasm from the students and strong support from the school. The average assessment score was 3.6 (categorized as good), reflecting the effectiveness of the approach used. This activity made a tangible contribution to enhancing students’ digital literacy and opened opportunities for the development of follow-up programs, such as teacher training and the creation of learning media focused on digital security. Keywords: cryptography; caesar cipher; vigenère cipher; digital literacy.

Abstract

Let S be a set and φ an equivalence relation on S. The pair (S, φ) forms an approximation space, where the relation φ partitions S into mutually disjoint equivalence classes. For any subset B' ⊆ S, the lower approximation Apr(B') is defined as the union of all equivalence classes entirely contained in B', while the upper approximation Apr(B') is the union of all equivalence classes that have a non-empty intersection with B'. The subset B' is called a rough set in (S, φ) if Apr(B') ≠ Apr(B'). If, in addition, B' satisfies certain algebraic conditions, it is termed a rough module. This paper investigates the construction of rough quotient rings and rough quotient modules within such approximation spaces. The approach is developed using finite sets to facilitate the algebraic formulation and analysis of these rough structures.

Abstract

Let (℧, µ) be an approximation space, where ℧ is a non-empty set and µ is an equivalence relation on ℧. For any subset H ⊆ ℧, we can define the lower approximation and the upper approximation of H . A set H is called a rough set if its lower and upper approximations are not equal. In this study, we explore the algebraic structure that emerges when certain binary operations are defined on rough sets. Specifically, we investigate the conditions under which a subset H forms a rough semimodule over a rough semiring. We present several key erties of this structure and construct illustrative examples to support our theoretical results.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan komik dengan metode pembelajaran PQ4R pada materi lingkaran kelas VIII SMP yang memiliki validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektifitas yang baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan model 4-D yaitu tahap pendefenisisan (define), tahap perancangan (design), dan tahap pengembangan  (develop). Instrumen penelitian adalah lembar validasi komik, lembar kepraktisan komik dan lembar efektifitas komik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) komik matematika dengan metode pembelajaran PQ4R termasuk dalam kategori valid dari aspek materi, bahasa, dan desain dengan skor rata-rata 4.01; (2) komik tersebut termasuk dalam kategori praktis dengan skor rata-rata 4.14; (3) komik tersebut termasuk dalam kategori efektif dengan skor rata-rata 4.06. Kemudian pencapaian aktivitas meliputi (1) aktifitas dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar aktif dengan skor rata-rata aktivitas siswa 4.19; (2) respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran efektif dengan skor rata-rata respon siswa sebesar 4.27; (3) aktifitas dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar aktif dengan skor rata-rata aktivitas guru sebesar 4.42; dan (4) hasil belajar siswa efektif dengan skor rata-rata hasil belajar siswa sebesar 4,00 dan persentase rata-rata siswa yang mencapai nilai ketuntasan minimal 70 adalah 86%.Abstract:  This study aims to produce comics with the PQ4R learning method on the material of the class VIII of junior high school that has good validity, practicality and effectiveness. This study uses a 4-D model, namely the stage of define, design, and  develop. The research instruments were comic validation sheets, comic practicality sheets and comic effectiveness sheets. The results showed that (1) mathematical comics with the PQ4R learning method included in the valid category of material, language, and design aspects with an average score of 4.01; (2) the comic is included in the practical category with an average score of 4.14; (3) the comic is included in the effective category with an average score of 4.06. Then the achievement of activities includes (1) activities in active teaching and learning activities with an average score of student activity 4.19; (2) student responses to effective learning with students' average response scores of 4.27; (3) activities in active teaching and learning activities with an average score of teacher activity of 4.42; and (4) effective student learning outcomes with an average score of student learning outcomes of 4.00 and the average percentage of students who achieve a minimum completeness score of 70 is 86%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian komparasi yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan prestasi belajar matematika berdasarkan gender di SMP Negeri 8 Mataram. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode Ex Post Facto. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP Negeri 8 Mataram dengan sampel 100 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan menggunakan rumus Slovin dengan teknik Stratified Random Sampling dan Cluster Random Sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara sedangkan teknik analisis data meliputi uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji korelasi , uji hipotesis dan koreksi Yates dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Berdasarkan analisis data dan interpretasi hasil penelitian dari observasi, penyebaran angket dan hasil wawancara dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan prestasi belajar matematika berdasarkan gender di SMP Negeri 8 Mataram. Hal ini didasarkan pada pengujian hipotesis yang menyatakan bahwa dari uji 𝑡 diperoleh 𝑡hitung = −1,06 dan 𝑡𝑡abel = 1,668 sehingga 𝑡hitung < 𝑡tabel dan dengan koreksi Yates diperoleh 𝜒2 hitung = 0,029 dan 𝜒2 tabel = 3,341 sehingga 𝜒2 hitung < 𝜒2 tabel. Dengan demikian dapat diartikan bahwa 𝐻0 diterima dan 𝐻𝑎 ditolak.
