Abstract

Mount Rinjani area on the island of Lombok is unique in bioecology. It provides habitats for many species of birds, especially birds of Wallacea. Several studies on birds in this area have been done, but the conservation priority of these birds has not been determined. Based on this condition, the purpose of this research is to determine the priority of birds conservation in mount Rinjani areas. Exploration about the spesies of birds was started from Senaru Village to Segara Anak Lake. Abundance of each bird species was estimated using point count. Data analysis to determine the conservation priority used indicators that consist of endemicity, population status, species threatened and species management. The results showed that the birds species in mount Rinjani areas are composed of 32 species belonging to 20 families. Bird species that have high abundance were Amandava amandava (15.94%), Zosterops Montanus (15.70%), and Parus major (11.32%), while Ptilinopus melanospila and Anthus novaeseelandiae were in low abundance (0.23%). Analysis birds conservation priority in mount Rinjani areas indicates that Otus jolandae has the highest score (65) and should be the first priority for the conservation, while Philemon buceroides and Gallus varius with the same score (60) are the second priority. Abstract

Humans are an important element in discussing all kinds of aspects and problems. Because humans occupy these positions (conceptors and administrators). In the world of human education as the main actor or actor. All aspects and tasks are carried out by humans. The meaning of life is important to be reviewed in the world of education. So the purpose of writing this paper is to understand and describe human existence and the meaning of life as an alternative philosophical solution to the problems of multidimensional education. This research includes library research, namely research that focuses on the discussion of the literature in the form of books, journals, papers, and other writings related to the object of research. Understanding human existence in education by understanding the position of humans in various educational factors (humans as educators, humans as students and education managers) should be an afterthought. If you look specifically at the existence of humans as educators, a common thread can be drawn that an educator must be able to be a role model (teacher-to be nurtured and imitated) for students and able to protect the situation of the teaching and learning process in order to pour and teach science to humans called learners. On the other hand, humans as students are also required to fulfill a code of ethics in studying. The world of education, apart from being an institution that develops intellectual abilities, also strives for the formation of character qualities that can be seen from the mindset and attitude patterns, students' perceptions of their life experiences, and faith in God which in turn will also affect the meaning of students' lives. Meaning is the most basic thing that distinguishes humans from animals.

Abstract

Earthworms are a group of animals that live in soil and have a segmented body, bilaterally symmetrical, and covered by a transparent cuticle, which protects from physical and chemical disturbances. One of the factors that influences the growth of earthworms is the availability of food substances in the media where they live. Research on the analysis of the increase in the number and total weight of earthworms (Lumbricus rubellus) due to the provision of fruit waste in feed has been carried out in 2023. This research aims to analyse the increase in the number and total weight of earthworms due to the application of fruit waste to the media where earthworms live. Research data was analysed using variance analysis. In this study, the results were obtained: (1) fruit waste pulp (papaya and banana) added to feed had a significant effect on increasing the number of earthworms, (2) fruit waste pulp added to the feed can increase the total weight of earthworms, (3) Giving 2 liters of fruit waste to the feed results in a higher number and total weight of earthworms than other levels of fruit waste pulp.

Abstract

The diversity of plants in a conservation area or forest is important data that can be used as a recommendation in efforts to maintain ecosystem balance, especially in herbaceous and shrubby plants that are rarely studied so that access to plant data is very limited. For this reason, this study aims to identify herbaceous and shrubby plants in the Lemor Botanical Garden Forest Area, East Lombok. This study is a qualitative descriptive study with cruise methods by tracing the exploration route. The findings show that in the area, 21 species from 19 families of herbaceous and shrubby plants were identified. In detail, 13 species from 11 families of herbaceous plants were found with the majority of species having upright, creeping, and epiphytic habitus and 8 species from 8 families of shrubby plants were found, the majority of which had upright habitus. The existence of various herbaceous and shrubby plants plays an important role in maintaining ecosystem stability so that stricter conservation efforts are needed by related institutions to maintain the diversity of existing species.

Abstract

Chili plants have a high selling value when the supply of goods decreases due to late harvests in red chili centers in various regions. This can trigger Indonesian farmers to cultivate more quality chili plants because they have high economic value. This research aims to determine the effect of NPK fertilizer and banana peel liquid organic fertilizer on the growth of red chili (Capsicum annum L) and to assess the impact of the combination of NPK fertilizer and banana peel liquid organic fertilizer on red chili. This study employed an experimental approach, with data collected by assessing plant growth. NPK fertilizer had no discernible effect on the height or quantity of leaves on red chili peppers, but it did have an impact on leaf area, fresh weight, and dry weight. Red chili pepper plants' height, leaf count, leaf area, fresh weight, and dried weight were all unaffected by the application of a liquid organic fertilizer made from banana peels. Red chili pepper plant height and leaf count were not significantly impacted by the combination of NPK fertilizer and liquid organic fertilizer generated from banana peels; but, leaf area, fresh weight, and dry weight were.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of NPK fertilizer and bokashi on the vegetative growth and chlorophyll content of pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.). The objective was to determine both the single and interactive effects of these fertilizers on various growth parameters. The experiment was conducted at the Greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mataram, from May to July 2025, using a completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors. The treatments consisted of five levels of NPK fertilizer (0–2 g/100 ml water) and five levels of bokashi (0–400 g/polybag). Data were analyzed using two-way ANOVA and Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at a 5% significance level. Results showed that NPK fertilizer significantly affected all growth parameters and chlorophyll content, while bokashi significantly influenced plant height, fresh weight, and dry weight. The interaction between NPK and bokashi significantly affected plant height and biomass but not leaf number, leaf area, or chlorophyll content. The best growth was obtained with 1.5 g NPK/100 ml water combined with 300 g bokashi/polybag. In conclusion, integrating organic and inorganic fertilizers improves nutrient efficiency and pakcoy productivity. These findings recommend integrated fertilization practices to promote sustainable crop production.
