Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan somatik, auditori, visual, dan intelektual (SAVI) berbantuan media animasi terhadap hasil belajar pada materi sistem respirasi kelas XI SMA Negeri 6 Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Kuasi Eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design di SMA Negeri 6 Palembang (Sumatera Selatan, Indonesia) tahun akademik 2015/2016. Variabel bebas dari penelitian ini adalah media animasi dan variabel terikatnya yaitu hasil belajar peserta didik. Populasi penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 6 Palembang dengan sampel 2 kelas XI IPA. Data yang dihasilkan adalah hasil belajar peserta didik dengan instrumen berupa tes tertulis (pretes dan postes). Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes untuk hasil belajar dan lembar observasi kegiatan peserta didik dan guru. Data nilai hasil belajar dan observasi kegiatan peserta didik dan guru adalah data pendukung dalam penelitian ini. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Levene, uji Shapiro-Wilk, uji Mann-Whitney dan uji t bebas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap nilai ngain hasil belajar peserta didik (signifikansi 0,001 < α 0,05) dan termasuk kategori ngain sedang. Hal tersebut berarti pendekatan SAVI berbantuan media animasi berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 6 Palembang pada materi sistem respirasi. This objective study was to determine the effect of somatic, auditory, visual, and intellectual (SAVI) approach with the support of animation media on learners’ outcomes at the respiratory system materials of class XI SMA Negeri 6 Palembang. The independent variable of this study was animation media, while the dependent variable was learners’ outcomes. The data collection methods were conducted by the test of learners’ outcomes and the observation sheet activities of the leaners and the teachers. The results showed that there were significant differences on the value ngain of learners’ outcomes (sig. 0,001 < α 0,05) and included in ngain medium category. Abstract

In this 21st century, teachers are required to empower students' Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Unfortunately, there are still many teachers who have difficulty compiling HOTS questions. The purpose of this community service activity was training in formulating HOTS-based online test instrument for Senior High School (SHS) teachers in Sekayu City. Community service activities were carried out by a team from the Biology Education Study Program, Sriwijaya University through workshops. The workshop was held at Public SHS 2 Sekayu for two days. From the service activities that have been carried out, there has been an increase in the knowledge and skills of teachers in designing and making HOTS-based online evaluation tools. This activity also produced a HOTS question collection document and a google form link containing an online based HOTS question instrument. Based on the series of service activities, it can be concluded that the competence of teachers to conduct online-based HOTS evaluation activities has increased.

Abstract

Desa Pelabuhan Dalam, Kecamatan Pemulutan, Kabupaten Ogan Ilir, menghadapi tantangan dalam sektor pertanian, terutama akibat keterbatasan sumber daya air selama musim kemarau dan tingginya biaya operasional irigasi berbahan bakar fosil. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan sistem irigasi tetes berbasis energi surya guna meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan air dan menurunkan biaya operasional petani. Metode yang digunakan melibatkan survei lokasi, perancangan sistem, instalasi teknologi, serta sosialisasi dan pendampingan kepada petani. Sistem irigasi ini menggabungkan teknologi panel surya untuk mengoperasikan pompa air dan sistem irigasi tetes untuk pengairan tanaman secara efisien. Pelatihan teknis dan pendampingan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemandirian petani terhadap teknologi ini. Keberhasilan program ini juga didukung oleh potensi sinar matahari yang tinggi di wilayah tersebut, menjadikan energi surya sebagai sumber daya terbarukan yang andal. Kegiatan ini menyimpulkan bahwa irigasi tetes berbasis energi surya tidak hanya meningkatkan efisiensi pertanian tetapi juga mendukung keberlanjutan lingkungan, sekaligus memberikan dampak positif pada pengelolaan sumber daya lokal di Desa Pelabuhan Dalam.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning (PBL) learning model on the science process skills (SPS) of grade XI students on respiratory system material. This research used quantitative method with pre-experimental design. Biology learning requires student-centered learning to improve students' science process skills. However, students are rarely involved in teaching and learning activities. The low level of participation of students in biology learning causes the science process skills of students to be less emphasized. The research was conducted by applying the PBL model to class XI.7 at SMAN 1 Palembang with respiratory system learning material. The instruments used included pre-test and post-test SPS tests, as well as a questionnaire sheet for students' responses to learning using PBL. Data analysis was done by normality test, paired t-test, effect size test, and N-gain test. The results showed that there was a significant effect on students' SPS with learning using the PBL model. The PBL model has a positive influence in improving the SPS aspects of observing, classifying, concluding, predicting, and communicating. This is supported by the results of filling out a questionnaire of students' responses to learning using the PBL model as a whole giving a very good response to PBL. This research can be further developed by using further research designs, such as research using a control class to determine the comparison of the effectiveness of PBL models with other learning models

Abstract

Dragonflies are a part of biodiversity that possess aesthetic value due to their colorful appearance, as well as ecological, environmental, ecotourism, and educational significance. Segenter Waterfall in West Lombok has a unique bio-ecological characteristic, as it provides a habitat for various interesting dragonfly species. This can be utilized as an object for ecotourism and a learning resource. The aim of this research was to analyze the diversity of dragonflies in Segenter Waterfall. The method used in this research was a survey method with an area exploration technique following predetermined transect lines based on observation results: the edge path, the middle path, and the watershed path. The sweeping net method was used to collect dragonflies that could not be identified in the field for further observation in the laboratory. The results showed that the highest species abundance was Orthetrum sabina (0.55) and the lowest was Anax guttatus (0.19). Meanwhile, the highest diversity index was found in the water path (2.96) and the lowest in the middle path (2.74). In conclusion, the diversity of dragonfly species varies across each observation path, with the highest order being the Water Path, followed by the Edge Path, and the lowest being the Middle Path in the Segenter Waterfall area, Lombok Island.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola pertumbuhan ikan sepat siam (Trichopodus pectoralis) dari tiga sungai di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan, yaitu Sungai Kelekar, Ogan, dan Komering. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan November 2024 sampai dengan Juni 2025 dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Sebanyak 120 ekor ikan berhasil ditangkap dengan menggunakan jaring insang dan bubu. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa panjang dan berat ikan, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Model Alometrik Linier (LAM) untuk mengetahui tipe pertumbuhan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ikan yang berasal dari Sungai Komering mengalami pertumbuhan isometrik, sedangkan ikan yang berasal dari Sungai Kelekar dan Ogan menunjukkan pertumbuhan alometrik negatif dan positif. Nilai koefisien determinasi (R²) hubungan antara panjang dan berat ikan berkisar antara 0,788 sampai dengan 0,933. Perbedaan pola pertumbuhan ini diduga dipengaruhi oleh perbedaan kondisi lingkungan pada masing-masing sungai. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ikan sepat siam memiliki pola pertumbuhan yang bervariasi pada setiap lokasi, yang mencerminkan adanya bentuk adaptasi terhadap habitat perairan setempat.

Abstract

Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas IV SD melalui penggunaan media Educaplay. PTK ini dilaksanakan di SD Plus Indo Global Mandiri (IGM) Palembang pada semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2025/2026 selama dua siklus yang masing-masing dilaksanakan dua kali pertemuan. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamtan, dan refeleksi. Tindakan menggunakan menggunakan media Educaplay. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket. Tindakan dinyatakan berhasil jika scor capaian motivasi mencapai 87%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi padas siklus I sebesar 76% dan pada siklus dua mencapai 87%. Pada siklus I Tiindakan dinyatakan belum berhasil karena penggunaan media Educaplay yang Belum Maksimal, dimana siswa belum familiar dengan platform tersebut, sehingga lebih fokus mempelajari cara penggunaan teknologi daripada memahami materi. Pada siklus II dilakukan perbaikan tindakan sehingga proses belajar menjadi lebih menyenangkan dan tertarik membuat siswa menjadi lebih termotivasi dan terlibat aktif dalam proses belajar. Dengan demikian tindakan yang menggunakan media Educaplay mencapai indikator keberhasilan pada siklus 2.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to produce a Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) assessment product based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) with three types of HOTS questions (true or false, multiple choice, and fill in the blank and matching) based on the factual knowledge dimension, conceptual, procedural, and metacognitive with illustrations in the form of discourse, images, graphics, videos, animations, and interactive stimulation, as well as providing feedback after going through the logical validation, empirical validation, and respondent questionnaire stages. The CBT-based HOTS assessment product was implemented for PPG students, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University in the Principles of Effective Teaching and Assessment course with R&D research steps. The product trial subjects in this research were limited to a small scale, namely 8 PPG Pre-Service Biology Education Study Program students, FKIP, Sriwijaya University. The technique for selecting product trial subjects in this research is the cluster sampling technique, namely a sampling method based on certain clusters. The data collection technique uses expert validation sheets and respondent questionnaires, then the data collected is analyzed quantitatively descriptively. Data obtained from questionnaires and scientific communication skills were analyzed using a rating scale. To analyze each statement or indicator, the frequency of answers for each category (answer choices) is calculated and added up. The development of HOTS questions based on the Computer Based Test in the Principles of Effective Teaching and Assessment course is based on two validation values from the validator, namely 81%, meaning that the material and language that has been designed by the researcher is valid and suitable for use. Apart from that, HOTS test questions are said to be practical if the score on the practicality criteria is at least 75%. Based on the results of the student response questionnaire, a score of 91.81% was obtained.
