Abstract

Pengelolaan administrasi sekolah yang masih dilakukan secara manual serta keterbatasan dalam penerapan teknologi pembelajaran menjadi tantangan bagi SMP Islam Hidayatul Mubtadiin Batealit. Ketidakefisienan dalam pencatatan data siswa, pengelolaan kehadiran, serta evaluasi akademik menghambat efektivitas administrasi sekolah, sementara metode pembelajaran konvensional kurang menarik bagi siswa yang terbiasa dengan teknologi digital. Oleh karena itu, program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi administrasi serta efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis digital melalui implementasi e-smartschool. Program ini mencakup lima tahap utama: sosialisasi, pelatihan intensif, simulasi dan praktik, pendampingan, serta evaluasi. Metode pelaksanaan melibatkan diskusi kelompok terarah, pelatihan berbasis praktik, supervisi langsung, dan evaluasi kinerja sistem. Dalam proses implementasi, ditemukan kendala seperti resistensi awal tenaga pendidik serta keterbatasan akses perangkat bagi siswa. Untuk mengatasi hambatan ini, pendampingan intensif dan pelatihan berkelanjutan diterapkan guna meningkatkan kesiapan pengguna dalam mengadopsi teknologi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan efisiensi administrasi hingga 80%, kepercayaan diri guru dalam menggunakan teknologi hingga 85%, serta keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran digital hingga 90%. Keberhasilan ini menunjukkan bahwa adopsi teknologi yang didukung dengan pelatihan dan pendampingan sistematis dapat mengoptimalkan pengelolaan akademik dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, sekaligus memberikan wawasan tentang tantangan dan strategi dalam digitalisasi sekolah.

Abstract

Vocabulary acquisition is crucial for young learners as it forms the foundation for communication skills. However, traditional vocabulary instruction often lacks engagement, leading to low retention and motivation. This study investigates the effectiveness of game-based learning, particularly Ludo pedagogy, in enhancing English vocabulary among fourth-grade students at an elementary school in Jepara. Using a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design, 24 students participated in four treatment sessions. Data collection included pretests and posttests to assess vocabulary improvement. The findings revealed a statistically significant increase, with an average gain of 9.94 points. A dependent t-test confirmed that game-based learning positively impacted vocabulary retention and engagement. The integration of structured board games with instructional flashcards created an interactive learning environment that enhanced student participation. This study contributes to game-based education by demonstrating its potential to improve vocabulary acquisition. The results suggest that incorporating game-based strategies can effectively support vocabulary learning, making it more enjoyable and meaningful for young learners. Future research should explore its long-term effects and broader applications in various educational settings to further evaluate its instructional potential.

Abstract

A good economy will have a positive impact on various aspects, such as health, education and the economy. The existence of UMKM in Dongos Village provides a great opportunity for employment for the community, and can be used as one of the Local Original Income Sources. The methods used in carrying out this activity are data collection techniques, training, product development and business licensing assistance. Community service activities in collaboration with "Rizki Barokah" partners UMKM include conducting marketing training activities, developing labels that have a function for promotion, and licensing assistance. From the community service activities that have been carried out, we hope that partners will be able to promote products online, partners will be able to increase consumer buying interest through labeled packaging so that they can compete with other UMKM. Apart from that, the existence of NIB is expected to facilitate the activities of business actors in Indonesia, to be able to increase investment and business.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to examine the extent to which the Project-based Learning (PjBL) model impacts mathematics learning outcomes on the topic of length units for third-grade students at SDN 2 Bendanpete. The research employs a quantitative experimental method through a Pre-Experimental Design approach, specifically using a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data analysis techniques include prerequisite tests through normality testing and hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample T-Test. Data were collected through multiple-choice tests administered before (pretest) and after (posttest) the implementation of the Project-based Learning (PjBL) model. Instrument validation results indicated that 15 items were valid, and reliability testing showed a high reliability score with Cronbach’s α = 0.860. Data analysis through the t-test, resulting in a value of (-19.0), demonstrated a significant improvement in student learning outcomes, with the average posttest score (81.1) considerably higher than the average pretest score (51.4). These findings suggest that the application of the PjBL model effectively enhances student achievement in the topic of length measurement. It is expected that the outcomes of this research will provide new insights into the use of innovative instructional models to improve student learning achievement. Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of group-based learning in enhancing the speaking abilities of eighth-grade students at SMP Muhammadiyah Keling. The school was selected due to observable challenges among students in verbal expression, including limited vocabulary, low confidence, and minimal classroom interaction. Speaking skill is a crucial aspect of language proficiency, reflecting learners’ communicative competence and playing a vital role in academic success and social integration. While previous studies have explored cooperative learning, few have examined its implementation specifically in a value-based school with limited use of interactive methods. A quantitative approach was employed using a pre-experimental one-group pre-test and post-test design involving 18 students. The intervention spanned four sessions over two weeks. Speaking skills were assessed through structured tasks measuring fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and content. Results showed a significant improvement in speaking performance, with the mean score rising from 65.56 to 84.44. A paired sample t-test yielded a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference. While the study was limited by sample size and duration, the findings suggest that group-based learning fosters peer interaction and active participation, contributing to improved oral communication. These results have practical implications for EFL instruction, particularly in promoting student-centered learning environments. Future research could explore long-term impacts and adaptations of group-based strategies across diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

In the digital era, improving English vocabulary acquisition through technology-based tools has become increasingly urgent to meet the demands of modern language learning and curriculum integration. The research group investigated the impact of the DeepL app on students' vocabulary acquisition, noting that this interactive educational tool can also enhance vocabulary skills. However, research specifically examining the effect of DeepL apps on vocabulary acquisition is limited. This study aims to investigate the extent to which DeepL apps influence English vocabulary acquisition. This study used a quasi-experimental approach, involving 36 grade 10 students at MA Miftahul Ulum in the academic year 2024/2025. The study was divided into two groups, an experimental group and a control group. Eighteen students from class X IPS 1 participated in the experiment, while eighteen students from class X IPS 2 were placed in the control group. Pre-tests and Post-tests, consisting of a total of 20 valid multiple-choice questions, were among the data collection instruments. To verify the hypothesis, the researcher employed the independent sample t-test tool in SPSS 26. The mean post-test score of the experimental class was 88.06, while that of the control group was 70.56. Furthermore, the independent sample t-test findings revealed that the significant value (sig.) exceeded 0.05, specifically 6.525 (6.525 > 0.05), indicating that the DeepL application positively impacted students' vocabulary acquisition. This study highlights the potential of the app-based learning tool DeepL in improving educational outcomes related to vocabulary.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of dora (dongeng nusantara) application media in cultivating the civic character of grade 4 students at SDN 2 Surodadi. The method used in this research is pre experiment one group pretest posttest design. Data collection was done by multiple choice questionnaire and observation. Data analysis used shapiro-wilk normality test, n-gain test and paired t-test. The results showed that the N-Gain value was 0.84 or equivalent to 84.83%, indicating that the use of DoRa media was classified as very effective in increasing students' understanding and appreciation of citizenship character values. The paired sample t-test results show a significance value of 0.000, which is smaller than 0.05. This indicates that there is a significant difference between students' citizenship character before and after using the DoRa application media. The difference can be seen from the average value of the pretest of 81.20 and the posttest of 96.45 which indicates a significant difference of 15.25. The use of DoRa application media is proven to be effective in cultivating the citizenship character of grade 4 students at SDN 2 Surodadi. Thus, DoRa media is expected to be implemented further in order to create a noble civic character. ABSTRAKKarakter kewargaan yang meliputi cinta tanah air dan peduli terhadap sesame di kalangan siswa sudah cukup memprihatinkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas media aplikasi dora (dongeng nusantara) dalam penanaman karakter kewargaan siswa kelas 4 di SDN 2 Surodadi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pre experiment one group pretest posttest design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan angket pilihan ganda dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas shapiro-wilk, uji n gain dan uji paired t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai N-Gain sebesar 0,84 atau setara dengan 84,83% menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media DoRa tergolong sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan penghayatan siswa terhadap nilai-nilai karakter kewargaan. Hasil uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000, yang lebih kecil dari 0,05. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara karakter kewargaan siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan media aplikasi DoRa. Perbedaan tersebut dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 81,20 dan posttest sebesar 96,45 yang menandakan terjadi perbedaan signifikan sebesar 15,25. Penggunaan media aplikasi DoRa terbukti efektif dalam penanaman karakter kewargaan siswa kelas 4 di SDN 2 Surodadi. Dengan demikian maka media DoRa diharapkan dapat diimplementasikan secara lebih lanjut demi terciptanya karakter kewargaan yang luhur.

Abstract

Vocabulary acquisition is essential for language learning, yet many students in English as foreign language (EFL) contexts struggle with traditional, rote-based instruction that lacks engagement and contextual relevance. This study addresses this gap by developing and evaluating “Lingo Climb”, a game-based vocabulary learning tool inspired by the Snake and Ladder game, tailored for Indonesian elementary school students. Employing the ADDIE model, the study progressed through needs analysis, product development, and evaluation phases. A mixed-method approach was used, incorporating surveys, interviews, observations, and pre and post-tests during small-scale trials involving 24 students and two teachers. Results indicated significant improvements in students’ vocabulary mastery, with teachers and students praising the tool for its cultural relevance, practicality, and ability to foster engagement and collaboration. The findings highlight the potential of "Lingo Climb" as a culturally adapted, game-based learning tool that transforms vocabulary instruction into an engaging experience. While the study demonstrates the effectiveness of non-technological innovation, limitations include the small sample size and short-term trials. This study emphasizes the value of interactive and culturally relevant tools in addressing gaps in traditional vocabulary instruction and advancing gamification in education.

Abstract

Academic writing is a critical skill in English Language Teaching (ELT), yet the challenges students face and their learning preferences remain underexplored. While previous studies have examined writing difficulties or learning strategies separately, few have addressed both dimensions in an integrated manner. In response to this gap, the present study investigates the academic writing experiences of ELT students, focusing on their challenges and preferences. Employing a mixed-method design, data were collected from 96 undergraduate students through questionnaires and open-ended responses. The findings reveal that 58.3% had experience writing research proposals, whereas only 49.0% had written theses or journal articles. Key challenges included organizing research data (67.7%), writing the discussion section (71.8%), and connecting results with theoretical frameworks (68.7%). Students also reported low motivation, often relying on deadlines or peer support to complete tasks. In terms of preferences, they emphasized the need for clear instructions, constructive feedback, and level-appropriate materials, while valuing the support of lecturers and peers. These results suggest that academic writing instruction should be structured, differentiated, and project-based, aligned with deep learning principles to enhance engagement, address individual needs, and promote critical thinking and sustainable learning outcomes.

Abstract

Tujuan dilaksanakannya ekplorasi untuk mengemukan mengenai efektivitas model problem-based learning untuk menunjang pemahaman membaca siswa SD. Desain penelitian menggunakan one-group pretest-posttest dengan kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan model problem-based learning. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SD yang terletak di Jepara. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes berbantuan SPSS versi 29. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data pretest dan postest, menunjukkan hasil peningkatan pemahaman bacaan peserta didik secara signifikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model problem-based learning efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman peserta didik. Uji Paired Sample Test menunjukkan hasil perolehan nilai 0,001 artinya Ha diterima sementara Ho ditolak maka nilainya < 0,05. Dengan demikian ekplorasi model problem-based learning mampu meningkatkan pemahaman bacaan siswa sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian ini dapat membantu guru berupaya meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa melalui penerapan model problem-based learning.
