Abstract

Traffic congestion is a common issue on disorganized roads. This research designs a traffic sign control system based on the Internet of Things (IoT), utilizing solar energy as the main power source and featuring a portable design for easy relocation according to road requirements. The system employs NodeMCU and Arduino UNO R3 as microcontrollers and uses a battery to store energy from the solar cell. Based on calculations, a 5Ah 12-Volt battery with a power output of 30 Watts requires 9 hours to discharge, while recharging the battery with a 13.2-Volt current takes 8 hours.

Abstract

Indonesia has great solar energy potential, but the efficiency of solar panels often decreases due to the accumulation of dust and dirt. This study develops a solar panel cleaning robot with a dry cleaning method based on a fuzzy logic controller. This robot is designed to clean panels automatically without using water or chemicals, using an ESP32 microcontroller and a TCS3200 color sensor, the robot will automatically work with the time set in the system. Tests were carried out on solar panels in dusty and non-dusty conditions. The results showed that the efficiency of solar panels in non-dusty conditions reached 36.17%, while in dusty conditions it dropped to 21.27%. These results emphasize the need for routine cleaning to maintain optimal solar panel performance. The fuzzy logic system on the robot will adjust the cleaning intensity based on the level of dust detected, thus making a significant contribution to maintaining solar panel efficiency. This study offers an environmentally friendly solution and can reduce operational costs related to cleaning solar panels and support the development of more sustainable renewable energy.

Abstract

Fire, smoke, and gas leak detection systems are among the most influential aspects of security, including on Tugboats. This detection system usually cannot detect in real-time. With the development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology, it is expected to be used for a more accurate and real-time detection system. The purpose of this final project is to create a system that uses the Internet of Things (IoT) as an early warning message in the event of a fire, smoke, and gas leak on a Tugboat. The methodology for completing this final project is data collection and literature study in the initial stages carried out in making hardware with the selection of components used by the function of this final project tool. In the programming process, the radius method is used to detect how far the sensor distance can be detected in detecting using the Internet of Things (IoT) as a warning message in case of fire, smoke, and gas leakage. Thus, this final project produces a fire, smoke, and gas leak detection system in real-time and monitors using a smartphone. This system can be used in various environmental places on the ship, such as the kitchen, capt room, mess room, and command room, to detect early accidents on the Tugboat.

Abstract

Sistem presensi mahasiswa berbasis teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) dengan sensor fingerprint dan notifikasi whatsapp dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan akurasi, efisiensi, dan keamanan dalam pencatatan kehadiran di lingkungan pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem presensi yang memanfaatkan sensor fingerprint untuk autentikasi data kehadiran mahasiswa secara sah dan mengirimkan notifikasi realtime kepada orang tua melalui whatsapp. Proses pengembangan dimulai dengan pengumpulan data melalui studi literatur dan analisis kebutuhan untuk merancang fitur yang dibutuhkan. Sistem dirancang dengan mengintegrasikan perangkat keras berupa sensor fingerprint dan modul IoT serta perangkat lunak yang mencakup aplikasi mobile dan website berbasis framework. Pengujian dilakukan secara bertahap, mulai dari uji unit hingga uji integrasi, untuk memastikan semua komponen bekerja dengan baik. Implementasi sistem melibatkan penggunaan alat oleh mahasiswa dan dosen serta pemeliharaan rutin untuk memastikan keberlanjutan operasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini mampu mengurangi potensi kecurangan dalam absensi, meningkatkan efisiensi pencatatan, dan memperkuat komunikasi antara kampus dan orang tua. Dengan demikian, sistem ini diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi efektif dalam mengatasi permasalahan presensi di perguruan tinggi, khususnya di Politeknik Manufaktur Negeri Bangka Belitung.

Abstract

Kamar hotel adalah ruangan yang sangat pribadi bagi setiap tamu yang penyewanya. Keamanan kamar hotel menjadi sangat penting. Saat ini, sistem pengunci pintu kamar hotel telah menggunakan teknologi RFID. Namun, penggunaannya masih kurang optimal karena setiap kamar hanya dapat diakses dengan satu kartu. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penerapan teknologi kunci pintu otomatis berbasis sidik jari pada kamar hotel adalah meningkatkan keamanan dan kenyamanan tamu, teknologi ini menghemat energi dengan otomatis mengaktifkan lampu dan AC saat pintu terbuka, sambil tetap menyediakan kontrol manual, sehingga memberikan pengalaman lebih efisien dan aman dibandingkan sistem kunci RFID. Tahapan metodelogi meliputi studi literatur, perancangan perangkat keras dan lunak, perakitan sistem menggunakan ESP32, dan pengujian integrasi hardware dan software untuk memastikan performa sistem. Proses ini mencakup desain rangkaian elektrikal dan pembuatan website berbasis CodeIgniter. Pengujian ini menganalisis kinerja sensor sidik jari dengan membandingkan kondisi sidik jari terdaftar dan tidak terdaftar. Setiap kamar menggunakan satu sensor fingerprint dengan satu sidik jari terdaftar. Data pembacaan sidik jari, respons LCD, serta reaksi selenoid, kipas, dan lampu diamati, termasuk waktu deteksi. Sistem berhasil memberikan solusi keamanan praktis dan efisien untuk kamar hotel, menggantikan kartu akses, meningkatkan kenyamanan pengguna, dan menghemat energi secara signifikan.

Abstract

This research is qualitative research to obtain a comprehensive portrait of the implementation of the menu management process in the restaurant operations of an independent three-star hotel. The study was conducted at Kuta Puri Bungalow Resort and Spa. The menu is the primary sales tool of any restaurant or culinary business to generate profit. Menu management is a sequential process consisting of menu planning, pricing, designing, operating, and development to achieve customer satisfaction and restaurant goals. Data were obtained from five respondents, of which three people are the key person in decision-makers at Restaurant Kuta Puri Bungalow Resort and Spa, the FB Manager, Chef de Party, and Restaurant and Bar Supervisor, and two-person is the crew level: a waitress and a Cook. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data is validated by source triangulation and method triangulation. The data was analyzed in qualitative analysis through four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and formulating conclusions. The results showed that in general, the management of Kuta Puri Resort and Spa had applied the dimensions of menu management in managing restaurants following the concept proposed by Ozdemir and Caliskan, (2014), Ozdemir and Nebioglu, (2018),Nebioglu (2020). But it differs in its operational variable i.e. menu layout and the presence of standard yield and butcher test. Keywords: Management, Menu, Restaurant,Hotel.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh simultan dan parsial Bauran Pemasaran (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) terhadap Keputusan Pembelian Anggrek pada Kios Tanaman Hias yang ada di Tegal, Indonesia. Metode survei deskriptif‑eksplanatori diterapkan pada 115 responden yang dipilih secara purposif. Data dianalisis menggunakan Program SPSS untuk menguji validitas dan reliabilitas, serta Program Lisrel untuk Analisis Jalur (Path Analysis). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Bauran Pemasaran secara keseluruhan menjelaskan 18% varians Keputusan Pembelian (R² = 0.18, F = 50.75, p < 0.05). Variabel Place (X₃) memberikan pengaruh langsung terbesar (β = 0,38), diikuti oleh Promotion (β = 0.14), Price (β = 0.14), dan Product (β = 0.01). Pengaruh total keempat variabel Bauran Pemasaran terhadap Keputusan Pembelian mencapai 29% (simultan) dan 67,4% (parsial), menandakan faktor lain masih berperan sangat signifikan. Responden menilai Bauran Pemasaran secara umum “baik”, dengan skor tertinggi pada tempat (547,5) dan terendah pada harga (441). Penelitian menyarankan peningkatan informasi lokasi dan strategi promosi (personal selling, promosi penjualan) sebagai prioritas, sambil mempertahankan kualitas produk dan harga kompetitif. Temuan ini memperkaya teori Bauran Pemasaran dalam Sektor Hortikultura dan memberi implikasi praktis bagi pengelola Kios Tanaman Anggrek di Indonesia.

Abstract

Color blindness is a condition that affects a person's ability to distinguish colors, which often interferes with daily activities. This research aims to create a color detection device that can help people with color blindness to accurately recognize the colors of objects around them. This tool uses the TCS34725 sensor, which is known for its ability to detect RGB colors, and the Arduino Mega Pro Mini as the data processing platform. In its implementation, it outputs a color signal or information through a speaker, allowing color-blind users to understand the detected colors. Tests were conducted under various lighting conditions to determine the accuracy of the tool. The results show that this tool is effective in helping people with color blindness identify basic colors, although there are limitations that need to be considered. The color detector designed using TCS34725 color sensor and Arduino Mega Pro Mini microcontroller has recognized various colors with sound output and is able to detect various colors such as red, green, blue, yellow, purple, and so on, with sufficient success in stable lighting conditions.

Abstract

This research aims to design a safe, easy-to-use, and efficient footwear storage system in mosques by utilizing OTP (One Time Password) technology sent via SMS and controlled by an operator. The methods used include literature studies, hardware and software design based on an ESP32 microcontroller and a SIM800L GSM module, tool assembly, and comprehensive system testing. Tests were conducted to measure the speed of OTP delivery, code validation, automatic lock performance, and the effectiveness of user interaction via the LCD and keypad. The test results show that the system is able to send OTPs in an average of 4–6 seconds, verify codes accurately, control the lock, and provide notifications to operators responsively. This system has been proven to improve storage security and provide greater comfort for the congregation, and can be implemented effectively in medium to large-scale mosque environments.

Abstract

High Jump is one of the most popular sports in the world. The ruler is the main measuring tool in this sport, but until now the height of the ruler is still manually adjusted. This study aims to design and create a high jump ruler that uses solar energy and is based on the Internet of Things (IoT). This tool is designed to help high jump athletes measure jump heights more accurately and efficiently. This system uses a NodeMCU ESP32 microcontroller and ultrasonic sensors to detect the position of the ruler, real-time data, whether or not the athlete is successful in jumping, then the data is sent to the IoT server to be processed and displayed in the form of real-time data. Solar energy is used as a power source to drive this system, so that this tool can be used in the field without the need for additional electricity. The results of the study show that this IoT-based high jump ruler can measure jump height with high accuracy and can be used as a training/tournament aid for high jump athletes.
