Abstract

Buah-buahan sangat penting untuk dikonsumsi sebagai tambahan nutrisi makanan. Manfaat buah-buahan dan sayuran sebagai sumber mineral utama, beberapa jenis buah-buahan dan sayuran juga mengandung mineral Fe, Ca dan P. Salah satu buah yang dapat dibuat untuk manisan adalah buah carica dari Dieng. Proses pembuatan manisan diprediksi kemungkinan dapat merusak struktur vitamin dan mineral dalam buah Carica. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan antara konsentrasi vitamin A, vitamin C, mineral, P, Fe pada 5 merk produk manisan buah karica segar. Konsentrasi vitamin C menunjukan adanya penurunan konsentrasi karena vitamin C mudah rusak oleh air, suhu, dan pH. Sedangkan, vitamin A menunjukan penurunan konsentrasi  karena vitamin A mudah rusak ketika pengolahannya dengan pemanasan disertai oksigen dan suhu tinggi dan direbus dengan air yang mendidih. Buah segar karika mengandung vitamin C sebesar 65,12 mg / 100g, vitamin A sebesar 1771,1 mg / 100 g, Ca sebesar 24 ppm, Fe 1,2 ppm, P 0,0254%. Pada 5 merek produk manisan carica yang berbeda mengandung vitamin C sekitar 24-30mg / 100g, vitamin A sekitar 300-500 mg / 100 g, mineral Ca sekitar 5-9 ppm, mineral Fe sekitar 0,58-0,8ppm, dan mineral P sekitar 0,003-0,008%. Waktu lamanya proses mendidih pada proses pembuatan manisan carica dapat mempengaruhi konsentrasi vitamin C. Abstract

Antioxidant compounds play an essential role in health because they can reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as cancer and coronary heart disease. This study analyzed the antioxidant activity of red fruit oil and juice. This study used an experimental method with oil and juice obtained through boiling for 4-5 hours. The stages of the study include flavonoid qualitative tests and antioxidant activity tests using the DPPH method using UV-Vis Spectrophotometers. Based on the research results, oil and red fruit juice contain flavonoids that have the potential to be antioxidants. Antioxidant activity test with the DPPH method showed IC50 in red fruit oil products on the market at 30.11 ppm and red fruit juice at 31.80 ppm, showing vigorous antioxidant activity compared to homemade red fruit oil with an IC50 of 85.98 ppm.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to explore the potential of green tea pulp extract as an active ingredient in facial cleansing toner preparations. Green tea pulp has been widely recognized for its bioactive compounds, such as polyphenols and phenols, which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Extraction method using ethanol solvent was used to isolate bioactive compounds from green tea pulp. The extraction results were then tested to determine the optimal concentration that is effective in cleansing and refreshing facial skin. Furthermore, toner dosage formulations containing green tea pulp extract were made and evaluated for physical stability and effectiveness as a facial cleanser. The results showed that green tea pulp extract has good cleansing antioxidant activity and is able to reduce inflammation on facial skin. The optimal concentration of green tea pulp extract in the toner preparation is able to remove dirt, excess oil, and make-up residue, while maintaining the natural moisture of the facial skin. Toner preparations containing green tea pulp extract also showed good antioxidant results using DPPH (2,2-dyphenyl-1 pycril Hydrazyl) during the study period. This suggests that green tea pulp has potential as an effective natural ingredient in facial cleansing toner preparations. This study provides further understanding of the potential of green tea pulp extract as an active ingredient in facial cleansing toner preparations. It is hoped that the results of this study can serve as a foundation for the development of more natural, effective, and environmentally friendly skin care products based on green tea pulp.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi potensi ekstrak ampas teh hijau (green tea) sebagai bahan aktif dalam sediaan toner pembersih wajah. Ampas teh hijau telah dikenal luas karena kandungan senyawa bioaktifnya, seperti polifenol dan fenol, yang memiliki sifat antioksidan dan antiinflamasi. Metode ekstraksi maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol digunakan untuk mengisolasi senyawa-senyawa bioaktif dari ampas teh hijau. Hasil ekstraksi kemudian diuji untuk menentukan konsentrasi optimal yang efektif dalam membersihkan dan menyegarkan kulit wajah. Selanjutnya, formulasi sediaan toner yang mengandung ekstrak ampas teh hijau dibuat dan dievaluasi untuk stabilitas fisik serta efektivitas sebagai pembersih wajah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak ampas teh hijau memiliki aktivitas antioksidan pembersihan yang baik dan mampu mengurangi peradangan pada kulit wajah. Konsentrasi optimal ekstrak ampas teh hijau dalam sediaan toner mampu menghilangkan kotoran, minyak berlebih, dan sisa make-up, sekaligus menjaga kelembapan alami kulit wajah. Sediaan toner yang mengandung ekstrak ampas teh hijau juga menunjukkan hasil antioksidan menggunakan DPPH ( 2,2-dyphenyl-1 pycril Hydrazil) yang baik selama periode penelitian. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ampas teh hijau memiliki potensi sebagai bahan alami yang efektif dalam sediaan toner pembersih wajah. Penelitian ini memberikan pemahaman lebih lanjut tentang potensi ekstrak ampas teh hijau sebagai bahan aktif dalam sediaan toner pembersih wajah. Diharapkan hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi landasan untuk pengembangan produk perawatan kulit yang lebih alami, efektif, dan ramah lingkungan berdasarkan ampas teh hijau.

Abstract

Abstract:  Particles that have a nanometer size of approximately 1-100 nm are called nanoparticles. Due to their stable quality silver nanoparticles have various uses such as antibacterial agents. Turi leaves have active substances such as flavonoid compounds and saponins which can be used as a liquid soap preparation because they kill microorganisms. This study aims to determine the antibacterial activity of turi leaf extract in the formulation of ag nanoparticle liquid soap against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria using the dilution method. The research method used in this research was the infusion method and the KHM and KBM tests of turi leaf extract soap ware carried out using the liquid dilution method. The extract concentrations used were 1%, 3%, dan 5%. The KHM was determined based on the turbidity or clarity of the test solution, while the KHM was determined by streaking each extract concentration/test solution on agar media. Data analysis was carried out descriptively in the form of the lowest concentration of extract that was able to inhibit and kill Staphylococcus aureus. The results of the research showed that turi leaf extract soap had a KHM value of 3% and a KBM value of 2% in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus. Based on research, turi leaf extract soap is able to inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria starting from a concentration of 2% and can kill Staphylococcus aureus bacteria at a concentration of 3%.Abstrak: Partikel yang memiliki ukuran nanometer kira – kira 1-100 nm disebut sebagai nanopartikel. Karena kualitasnya yang stabil nanopartikel perak memiliki berbagai kegunaan seperti agen antibakteri. Daun turi mempunyai zat aktif seperti senyawa flavonoid dan saponin yang dapat digunakan sebagai sediaan sabun cair karena membunuh mikroorganisme. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak daun turi dalam formulasi sabun cair nanopartikel ag terhadap bakteri staphylococcus aureus dengan metode dilusi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode infusa dan uji KHM dan KBM dari sabun ekstrak daun turi dilakukan dengan menggunakan dilusi cair. Konsentrasi ekstrak yang digunakan adalah 1%, 3%, dan 5% KHM ditentukan berdasarkan kekeruhan atau kejernihan larutan uji, sedangkan kekeruhan atau kejernihan larutan uji, sedangkan KBM ditentukan dengan menggoreskan masing – masing konsentrasi ekstrak/larutan uji pada media agar. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif berupa konsentrasi terendah dari ekstrak yang mampu menghambat dan membunuh Staphylococcus aureus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sabun ekstrak daun turi memiliki nilai KHM sebesar 3% dan memiliki nilai KBM sebesar 2% dalam menghambat pertumbuhan staphylococcus aureus. Berdasarkan penelitian menunjukkan sabun ekstrak daun turi sudah mampu menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus mulai dari konsentrasi 2% dan bisa membunuh bakteri Staphylococcus aureus pada konsentrasi 3%.

Abstract

Sebagian besar dari penduduk desa pacul adalah pegawai perkantoran yang dalam sehari-harinya. Mereka menggunakan sepatu selama bekerja. Penggunaan sepatu yang tertutup dalam waktu yang lama, akan menimbulkan bau kaki. Bau kaki sering dialami oleh setiap orang. footsanitizer merupakan sebuah inovasi baru untuk menghilakan bau kaki. Foot sanitizer perlu dilakukan penambahan bahan aktif mengingat penggunaan berlebih alkohol sebagai bahan utamanya akan menimbulkan efek iritan. Bahan aktif yang dapat digunakan berupa rempah-rempah salahsatunya yaitu ektrak biji kopi dan rimbang jahe. Bentuk kegiatan untuk meningkatkan meningkatkan pengetahauan, pemahaman dan pelatihan mengenai produk footsanitizer spray kombinasi ekstrak biji kopi dan rimpang jahe. meliputi Memberi materi tentang pentingnya kebersihan kaki, Memberikan materi tentang pemanfaatan biji kopi dan rimpang jahe, Penyuluhan tentang manfaat penggunaan footsanitizer spray, Memberi pelatatihan pembuatan footsanitizer spray dari ekstrak kombinasi ekstrak biji kopi dan rimpang jahe bagi masyarakat Desa Pacul, khususnya ibu-ibu PKK Desa Pacul sesuai dengan tingkat ilmu yang mudah dipahami oleh masyarakat dengan jumlah peserta sebanyak 52 peserta dan melibatkan mahasiswa DIII Farmasi Politeknik Harapan Bersama. Memberikan kuesioner untuk diisi oleh peserta untuk mengetahui peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat desa pacul tentang pembuatan footsanitizer spray dari ekstrak kombinasi ekstrak biji kopi dan rimpang jahe Dari hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat desa pacul meningkat. Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner menunjukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat desa Pacul tentang pembuatan footsanitizer spray. Dari hasil kuesioner pengetahuan masyarakat meningkat dari 84.33 yaitu nilai pre test dan 85.33 yaitu nilai post test. Walaupuin Hasil peningkatan tidak meningkat signifikan

Abstract

In order to strengthen the skills and creativity of Fatayat Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) members, Handwash soap making training is a useful activity.  Soap making training can provide Fatayat NU members with the opportunity to acquire new skills. In this training, participants will learn various techniques and methods in making quality soap. This community service activity can also provide information and knowledge to Fatayat NU women about making Sesbania leaf extract nanoparticle handwash soap. Based on the evaluation results, it shows an increase in the knowledge of Fatayat NU about making handwash. With an increase in the average value of pretest results from 40 and posttest 75 This community service is an effective means of disseminating information and knowledge about hygiene, health, and the importance of washing hands with soap.

Abstract

Environmental education and awareness of sustainability are becoming a major focus in educational curricula around the world. This article discusses an innovative approach to environmental learning for high school students through the creation of ecoenzymes. Ecoenzym, is a mixture of fermented organic materials that has the ability to clean and recycle organic waste, as well as improve soil and water quality. The results of ecoenzyme training activities for high school students based on the pretest and posttest results are that the training has a positive impact on students' understanding of ecoenzymes and their ability to apply them in practice. The posttest results showed a significant increase in students' knowledge and skills after participating in the training, compared to the pretest results. In this training, students are given a deeper understanding of ecoenzymes. Students get the opportunity to participate in practical activities involving the use of ecoenzymes, which can increase their understanding of the concept. In conclusion, ecoenzyme training is an effective strategy in increasing the knowledge and skills of high school students in this regard. This suggests that practical, hands-on approaches such as this training can be an effective method in educating students about complex scientific concepts such as ecoenzymes.

Abstract

One metal that is widely researched is silver (Ag) which can be used as an antibacterial and antifungal. The method that is widely developed is the biological method, also called biosynthesis. Biosynthesis is a synthesis method using media from plant extracts. This research was conducted to determine the best formulation of Ag nanoparticle soap from turi (sesbania grandiflora) leaf extract based on its stability test. To obtain turi leaf extraction using the infusion method, a flavonoid compound test was carried out to determine the flavonoid compound content. After knowing the existence of flavonoid compounds, the wavelength was determined using UV-Vis Spectrophotometry. In the nanoparticle soap formula, a nanoparticle soap preparation was made which was then tested for the physical quality of Ag nanoparticle soap from turi leaf extract (Sesbania Grandiflora L). The gel-shaped preparation has a characteristic oleum rosae odor and a yellow to blackish soap color. Test the homogeneity to see if there are coarse grains on the surface of the soap. The specific gravity test results of all soap formulations meet the criteria for good soap. The high foam value in soap preparations is between 6.1 – 12.5 mM. The results of measuring the absorption values for concentrations of 1 mM, 2 mM, and 3 mM show that the optimum absorption results in liquid soap preparations are a concentration of 3 mM with a wavelength of 300 nm with an absorbance value of 1.105. The research results showed that turi leaf extract (sesbania grandiflora L) had an effect on the physical stability of Ag nanoparticle soap and met the standards set by SNI. Among formulation 1 with a concentration of 0.03, formulation II with a concentration of 0.06 and formulation III with a concentration of 0.09, the turi leaf extract soap preparation showed the best physical properties in formulation 1 with a concentration of 0.03 in the pH stability test.

Abstract

Red Fruit Oil contains several active compounds that are beneficial for the human body such are tocopherol, betacarotene and some types of fatty acids such as oleic acid, linoleic acid, linolenic acid and decanoic. The purpose of this study was to determine the content of secondary metabolites in oil and red fruit juice (Pandanus conoideus). This research method uses qualitative data research methods, namely from the results of analysis of the content of secondary metabolites of oil and Red Fruit juice (Pandanus conoideus) consisting of alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, saponins and tannins, as well as thin-layer chromatography. The results of the study showed that phytochemical screening tests of red fruit oil and red fruit juice hand products gave the same results as red fruit oil (brand x) on the market, that the three samples contained several secondary metabolite compounds namely flavonoids, tannins, and terpenoids

Abstract

In the wake of the ongoing global pandemic, maintaining hand hygiene has become paramount to prevent disease transmission. Hand sanitizer serves as a practical solution in situations where access to water and soap is limited, especially in school environments. This article outlines a training program designed for junior high school students participating in the Adiwiyata program, aimed at enhancing their understanding of hand hygiene and empowering them to independently produce hand sanitizer using readily available ingredients. The training program incorporates various steps, including a pre-test to gauge students' initial knowledge, educational sessions highlighting the importance of cleanliness and proper hand hygiene practices, hands-on practice sessions for students to craft hand sanitizer, and post-training evaluation to assess knowledge retention and practical skills. Results indicate a significant improvement in students' knowledge and practical abilities in hand sanitizer production, as well as a heightened awareness of the importance of hand hygiene in disease prevention. By equipping students with the skills to create their own hand sanitizer, the training not only promotes individual health but also aligns with the objectives of the Adiwiyata program by reducing reliance on commercial products containing potentially harmful chemicals and fostering a cleaner, healthier school environment.
