Abstract

Water and electricity are very vital human needs; it’s necessary to use them efficiently. The use of a water reservoir is a solution, and the machine can be set ON OFF using a float indicator. When the machine is ON, it fills the water, and is full, switch OFF and ON again when the water reaches a certain height. The ON-OFF process of the pump machine automatically occurs when the power plugged in; this condition is very dangerous, causing heat, and empty house, switch is always ON. Remote automatic is required. This automatic uses a quasi-experimental method with three stages, namely making a design, conducting tests, and analysing test results. Internet of Things (IoT) technology, based on a microcontroller, can implement an automatic switch for controlling and operating electronic devices remotely online and in real time via mobile (cellphone). The use of a microcontroller will be configured to connect to the Ubidots application.

Abstract

Kasus peredaran uang palsu merupakan masalah yang cukup serius bagi suatu negara. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sistem identifikasi keaslian uang kertas Rupiah menggunakan K-Means Clustering yang diintegrasikan dengan teknik pengolahan citra digital dengan memanfaatkan 2 fitur visual utama yaitu Local Binary Pattern (LBP) dan Laplacian of Gaussian (LoG) sebagai parameter analisis. Metode yang digunakan yaitu algoritma K-Means Clustering yang dipilih karena efisien dalam mengelompokkan data citra berdasarkan pola tekstur dan tepi. Sistem ditargetkan mencapai akurasi 80%, namun hasil pengujian menunjukkan performa dibawah target. Berdasarkan hipotesa hasil penelitian pada sistem identifikasi keaslian uang kertas menggunakan K-Means Clustering dengan menggabungkan kedua fitur yang terintegrasi dengan teknik pengolahan citra digital, dapat ditarik kesimpulan sebagai berikut: Sistem yang dikembangkan belum berhasil mencapai target akurasi 80% yang ditetapkan dalam tujuan penelitian. Akurasi tertinggi yang diperoleh adalah 70.00% pada pengujian citra keseluruhan. Sedangkan akurasi terendah adalah 53.33% pada pengujian citra ROI. Penggabungan dua fitur visual utama Local Binary Pattern (LBP) dan Laplacian of Gaussian (LoG) menunjukkan karakteristik yang berbeda untuk uang asli dan palsu. Uang asli cenderung memiliki nilai Mean LBP sekitar 0.65 yang menunjukkan konsistensi teksutr, sedangkan uang palsu menunjukkan Edge Density yang relatif tinggi dibanding uang asli, mengindikasikan variasi tepi yang lebih besar. Algoritma K-Means Clustering dapat membedakan uang asli dan palsu berdasarkan kombinasi fitur yang diesktraksi, namun tingkat akurasi yang dihasilkan masih dibawah ekspetasi. Pengujian pada citra keseluruhan memberikan hasil yang lebih baik dibandingkan ROI, sehingga pemilihan area analisis memengaruhi performa sistem.

Abstract

Land cover change driven by the expansion of oil palm plantations has become a critical environmental issue in Siak Regency, Riau Province, necessitating periodic vegetation monitoring for sustainable land management. This study aimed to integrate Google Earth Engine and Quantum Geographic Information System to analyze vegetation changes in oil palm plantations using Sentinel-2 imagery from the 2022 to 2024 period. The methods involved processing Sentinel-2 Level-2A imagery through cloud masking, generating annual median-based composites, and calculating vegetation indices, including the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index, Enhanced Vegetation Index, and Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index. These indices were classified into several density classes to map land cover conditions, while changes in oil palm and non-oil palm areas were identified annually. All image processing stages were performed on a cloud computing platform, and the results were exported for spatial visualization and further analysis. The findings indicated that Siak Regency remained predominantly characterized by moderate to dense vegetation, particularly in the central and eastern regions. However, annual vegetation dynamics were detected in the western region, which was dominated by residential and industrial activities. In Koto Gasib District, there was a measurable increase in non-oil palm classes and expanding land cover changes over time. Overall, the integration of cloud-based processing and desktop geographic information systems proved effective in producing accurate spatial information for multitemporal analysis to support land use planning and oil palm plantation management in Siak Regency.
