Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the construction of the reality of the reporting on the integrity of the KPK from the framing of online media Kompas.com and Detik.com. The paradigm used is constructivist, with the Entman’s framing analysis method, which means that it is preceded by the assumption that reality tends to have multiple faces (multiple reality). Therefore, this research will have a theoretical contribution to the public's understanding about the construction of mass media reality, and public awareness that the aspects of corruption prevention must be started by the actors of KPK itself (the issue of integrity), as well as for strengthening the anti-graft institution. The results showed that the reality construction formed by excellent reputation media such as Kompas.com and Detik.com will gain high public trust, especially in disclosing information on important state institutions, such as KPK. The similarity construction is related to the public criticism and demand about the existence of KPK as Supervisory Board; on the contrary, it oftentimes still stained by the violation allegation of the ethical code of its leaders. Moreover, there was internal conflict, decreased performance and public pessimism. As for the difference, Kompas.com built a positive image by the KPK's actions in overseeing state institutions and investigating several cases, while Detik.com delivered content on sympathetic social action, coordination with regional leaders, appreciation for the existence of KPK by a popular state figure.

Abstract

Virus Corona Disease 19 pertamakali masuk di Indonesia tanggal 02 Maret 2020. Hingga Maret 2021 sudah menginfeksi lebih dari 1 juta masyarakat Indonesia. Virus yang menyerang pernafasan ini membuat siapapun yang terpapar merasa khawatir. Pasalnya kekhawatiran tersebut diakibatkan belum ditemukannya obat yang ampuh melawan virus covid-19. Banyak dari para penyintas Covid-19 mengubah perilakunya berdasarkan pengalaman yang dialaminya saat terpapar Covid-19. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana motif penyintas Covid-19, makna Covid-19 dan pengalaman komunikasi penyintas Covid-19 ketika telah dinyatakan sembuh. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Peneliti menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dalam penelitian ini sehingga Subjek atau informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 6 orang berdasarkan kriteria yang telah peneliti tentukan di awal. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mewawancarai informan, observasi di lapangan, dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa motif sembuh para penyintas Covid-19 terdiri atas motif because of yang meliputi motif keluarga dan motif in order to atau motif harapan ketika sembuh yang meliputi gaya hidup sehat, menjadi pribadi yang lebih baik lagi, dan menjadi relawan Covid-19. Adapun temuan dari makna Covid-19 yang ditemukan pada penyintas Covid-19 memaknai bahwa Covid-19 merupakan sebuah penyakit Flu biasa namun mengerikan yang saat ini tengah beredar di masyarakat.

Abstract

This study aims to develop flipped classroom-based teaching materials to enhance students' comprehension skills in English Correspondence, a critical course for fostering professional written communication in international business contexts. The research used a Research and Development (R&D) approach, specifically the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Expert validation of the materials yielded a high validity score of 86%. A small-group trial yielded an 84% practicality score, indicating the usability of the materials. Effectiveness was measured through a pretest and posttest, revealing a moderate improvement in student comprehension with an N-gain score of 0.54. These findings suggest that the flipped classroom model enhances students' engagement, supports independent learning, and strengthens both theoretical and practical understanding of English business correspondence. The developed materials demonstrate the potential of flipped classrooms in improving comprehension skills and learning outcomes in English Correspondence courses. This research highlights the practical implications of innovative teaching strategies in higher education.

Abstract

The community service activity aims to enhance knowledge, awareness, and family communication skills in the digital era among residents of Rancabango Village, North Subang. The activity began with a pre-test questionnaire to measure participants' initial understanding of verbal and nonverbal communication, as well as the utilization of digital media in family interactions. Pre-test results showed that 66% of participants had not yet understood the concept of family communication formally, and only a small portion utilized digital features for emotional communication in daily life. Through a series of interactive counseling sessions, practical training, and simulations (role play), participants were equipped with knowledge and healthy communication skills within the family. Post-activity evaluation through post-test demonstrated significant improvement, with 85% of participants understanding the concept of family communication and being able to recognize the role of verbal and nonverbal language, as well as the impact of gadget use. A total of 76% of participants showed increased emotional awareness toward their partners and children, while 70% were able to apply digital communication techniques such as the use of emoticons and voice messages appropriately. The findings indicate that participatory counseling has proven to have a real impact on forming healthier family communication patterns, while simultaneously playing a role in preventing domestic conflicts and divorce.

Abstract

SMK Pembangunan Jaya YAKAPI, yang terletak di kota Pasar Minggu, adalah salah satu SMK terbaik di Jakarta Selatan yang menghasilkan siswa yang unggul, bermartabat, dan bersemangat untuk berwirausaha. Karena Revolusi Industri 4.0 semakin maju, sekolah harus mengikuti perkembangan teknologi jaringan komputer. Siswa SMK Pembangunan Jaya YAKAPI menghadapi kendala dalam pengembangan teknologi ini. Mereka hanya diminta untuk melakukan praktik jaringan komputer secara teoritis. Siswa harus memahami Hubungan Masyarakat (HUMAS). HUMAS adalah bagian penting dari penyelenggaraan pendidikan. Pada dasarnya, keberadaan humas adalah membangun reputasi, yang merupakan aset penting yang harus dimiliki oleh lembaga sebagai bukti keberadaannya. HUMAS adalah bagian penting dari penyelenggaraan pendidikan. Keberadaan humas pada dasarnya ialah membangun reputasi, yang merupakan aset penting bagi setiap organisasi dan merupakan bukti keberadaan dan kualitasnya. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk mengajarkan siswa SMK Pembangunan Jaya YAKAPI keterampilan manajemen hubungan masyarakat dan konfigurasi jaringan komputer. Metode pelaksanaan PkM dimulai dari observasi, wawancara hingga pelaksanaan pelatihan kepada siswa-siswi. Hasil pelaksanaan dari semua kegiatan didapat bahwa pelatihan program pengabdian masyarakat kepada siswa-siswa berjalan dengan baik dan hasil kuesioner kepuasan peserta sebesar 83% memuaskan.

Abstract

This study explores the synergy between ecological awareness and the implementation of blue economy principles in achieving fisheries sustainability in Indramayu Regency, Indonesia. The coastal area of Indramayu is known for its abundant fisheries resources but faces various threats such as overfishing, marine pollution, and coastal environmental degradation. Using a descriptive and correlational quantitative approach, this research analyzes the influence of two main variables, ecological awareness and blue economy implementation, on fisheries sustainability. Multiple linear regression was employed as it enables the simultaneous testing of more than one independent variable on a dependent variable. Data were collected from 45 active fishers in Karangsong Village, selected based on their direct involvement in fisheries activities. The regression results indicate that ecological awareness has a significant influence on fisheries sustainability (coefficient = 0.633; p < 0.01), followed by blue economy implementation (coefficient = 0.253; p < 0.01), with a simultaneous contribution of 66.1% to the variation in fisheries sustainability. The practical implications of this study highlight the need to enhance environmental education, strengthen the capacity of coastal communities, and optimize supporting infrastructure to ensure more equitable implementation of blue economy principles. These findings underscore that the success of sustainable fisheries strategies requires a combination of ecological awareness and community-based policy support.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand the public's perspective on MS.Glow skincare with Brand Ambassadors Marshel Widianto and Babe Cabita, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors of Ms.Glow's Brand Ambassadors Marshel Widianto and Babe Cabita in promoting Ms.Glow products. This study utilizes a qualitative research method involving interviews, observations, and documentation. Data validity is ensured through triangulation of sources, and data analysis is conducted through stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The research findings reveal that 10 key informants from the public view MS.Glow's actions as an innovation, setting it apart from other skincare manufacturers. The supporting factors include novel approaches and uniqueness, enhancing MS.Glow's sales. However, the inhibiting factor stems from the Brand Ambassadors, deviating from the typical skincare brand ambassador image and causing controversy among the public. In conclusion, this study illustrates that MS.Glow has successfully introduced innovations in skincare, distinguishing the brand from its competitors. These innovations stem from a fresh approach within the skincare industry, creating a positive impression on consumers and boosting sales. However, the utilization of Brand Ambassadors by MS.Glow has elicited negative reactions from the public due to misalignment with consumer expectations and industry conventions.

Abstract

Karangsong Village in Indramayu Regency is one of the largest fish landing and marketing centers along the northern coast (Pantura) of West Java, with an average daily catch reaching 50 tons. However, this significant potential has not yet translated into substantial improvements in fishermen’s welfare, primarily due to limited marketing skills and a lack of understanding of sustainability concepts. This community service initiative aims to enhance the basic skills of marine product marketing strategies based on the Blue Economy for the fishing community in Karangsong Village. Through training and mentoring, the community is introduced to the importance of innovative seafood processing, value-added enhancement, and the application of marine ecosystem sustainability principles in fisheries business practices. The outcomes of the program indicate an increased understanding and skills among the fishermen regarding the Blue Economy concept and the urgency of maintaining sustainable fisheries practices across generations. This training is expected to serve as a starting point for building fishermen’s economic independence and strengthening coastal ecosystem resilience amidst the challenges of environmental changes and shifting market dynamics.
