Abstract

This study is motivated by the increasing importance of work readiness among university graduates in facing global competition. Work readiness reflects the extent to which graduates can adapt and meet workplace demands. This research aims to examine the influence of MSIB internship experience and competence on the work readiness of Management students at UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur. A quantitative approach was used in this study with a sample of 43 students from the 2021 cohort who had participated in the MSIB program. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed through SmartPLS. The results showed that internship experience and competence contribute to students’ work readiness.

Abstract

Human resources are an important resource in a company because human resources determine the success of an organization, both institutions, and companies. Therefore, companies need to pay attention to work-life balance and employee compensation properly so that employee job satisfaction in the company continues to increase. This study aims to determine the effect of work-life balance and compensation on employee job satisfaction at the Women's Cooperative Setia Bhakti Wanita Surabaya. The research method used is a quantitative method and data collection using a questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale as a measuring tool. The population and samples used in this study were all permanent employees at the Setia Bhakti Wanita Surabaya Cooperative with a total of 40 employees. The data used are primary data and secondary data while the analysis used is Partial Least Square (PLS). Based on the results of research that has been done: 1). Work-Life Balance that can be managed properly can also have a good influence on employee job satisfaction at the Setia Bhakti Wanita Cooperative of Women Surabaya 2). Good compensation has a good influence on employee job satisfaction at the Setia Bhakti Wanita Surabaya Cooperative.

Abstract

Employee performance is one of the important factors for the success of an organization or company. On this basis, the purpose of this research is to find out (1) the effect of compensation on employee performance, and (2) the effect of job satisfaction on employee performance at UD Industri Krupuk Andalas in Malang District. The population in this study were employees of UD Industry Krupuk Andalas in Malang District. Sampling in this study used a saturated sampling technique of 40 employees of marketers at UD Industri Krupuk Andalas in Malang District. The type of data used in this research is primary data obtained from the distribution of questionnaires. This research uses data analysis technique Patrial Least Square (PLS). The results of this study indicate (1) Compensation can contribute to the performance of the employees of UD Industri Krupuk Andalas in Malang District. It is identified that the provision of fair and good compensation will have an increasing impact on employee performance, and (2) Job satisfaction can contribute to the performance of UD Industri Krupuk Andalas employees in Malang District. This identifies if the level of high employee job satisfaction will have an increasing impact on employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of workload and communication on employee performance in the technical service division. Employee performance refers to the results achieved by individuals in carrying out their duties in accordance with the operational standards set by the company. The method used in this study employs a quantitative approach. The study population consists of 48 employees, using a saturated sampling technique where all employees are included as samples. The data collected is primary data, obtained through questionnaires and interviews, and the data is processed and analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of the study indicate that workload contributes to employee performance, as does communication. This study is expected to provide benefits for companies to pay more attention to workload and communication to improve employee performance.

Abstract

To support and advance a company, everything depends on existing human resources. Because human resources have an important role in a company because human resources are what determine the success of a company in the long term. However, in reality, there are many challenges that employees must face in supporting the successful performance of a company. This research aims to determine the effect of workload and compensation on employee performance. The method used is a quantitative method with a population of 40 J&T Express employees in the North Surabaya Region and the sampling technique uses saturated sampling, namely the sample takes the entire population of 40 courier employees. Data was obtained through a questionnaire compiled based on indicators for each research variable and then analyzed using SmartPLS software. The results of the research show that a high workload can reduce employee performance and providing good compensation can improve employee performance for J&T Express couriers in the North Surabaya Region.

Abstract

Women deciding to pursue a career has caused a shift in the main role of women. The increase in the number of female workers is due to the equal opportunity between women and men in obtaining higher education. However, in reality, there are many challenges that must be faced by married women when they decide to start their careers. In dealing with this phenomenon, work-life balance and organizational support are needed to increase the work engagement of female employees in the company. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work life balance and perceived organizational support on work engagement. The method used is a quantitative method with a population of 40 married female employees of PTPN I Regional 4 Surabaya and sampling techniques using saturated samples, namely samples taken to represent the entire population. Data were obtained through a questionnaire which was compiled based on indicators of each research variable and then analyzed using SmartPLS software. The results of the study showed the influence of work life balance and perceived organizational support on work engagement.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas strategi promosi personal selling dalam penyebaran layanan jasa parenting oleh PT. Naruna Karya Bersama kepada sekolah mitra di Surabaya. Promosi secara langsung dipilih sebagai metode utama karena dianggap mampu membangun komunikasi dua arah yang lebih emosional dan meyakinkan dibandingkan dengan promosi digital yang bersifat satu arah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi partisipatif dan dokumentasi lapangan. Tim promosi terlibat langsung dalam kegiatan kunjungan ke enam sekolah mitra, melakukan presentasi, diskusi, serta membagikan materi promosi dalam bentuk visual dan cetak. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 66% sekolah memberikan respons positif, seperti minat untuk tindak lanjut, penjadwalan ulang presentasi, dan permintaan informasi teknis lebih lanjut. Sementara itu, 33% lainnya menunjukkan respon pasif atau tertunda, umumnya disebabkan oleh kendala internal seperti waktu dan prioritas kegiatan. Personal selling dinilai efektif dalam membangun kepercayaan dan kemitraan strategis dengan pihak sekolah, sekaligus memberi ruang untuk menyesuaikan pesan promosi sesuai kebutuhan mitra. Dokumentasi visual dan catatan observasi juga terbukti mendukung validitas dan evaluasi strategi promosi. Kesimpulannya, pendekatan promosi tatap muka tetap relevan dan strategis dalam pemasaran jasa pendidikan yang berbasis relasi dan nilai seperti program parenting.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has encouraged service transformation in financial institutions, including PT Pegadaian (Persero). One form of this transformation is the implementation of the Tring digital system as an integrated service platform for customers. This article aims to examine the role of the Tring digitalization system in improving customer service quality at Pegadaian. The method employed is a community service (abdimas) approach using a descriptive qualitative design, conducted through preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data were collected through observation, assistance in using the Tring application, and short interviews with customers and service officers. The results indicate that the Tring system enhances service speed, accessibility, data accuracy, and transaction security, leading to more efficient customer experiences. However, limited digital literacy among some customers remains a challenge, highlighting the need for continuous assistance. In conclusion, the Tring system plays a significant role in improving Pegadaian’s service quality and has strong potential to support inclusive digital financial services. ABSTRAK Perkembangan teknologi digital mendorong transformasi layanan pada lembaga jasa keuangan, termasuk PT Pegadaian (Persero). Salah satu bentuk transformasi tersebut adalah penerapan sistem digital Tring sebagai platform layanan terintegrasi bagi nasabah. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran digitalisasi sistem Tring Pegadaian dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan nasabah. Metode yang digunakan adalah pengabdian kepada masyarakat (abdimas) dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan dilakukan melalui observasi, pendampingan penggunaan aplikasi Tring, serta wawancara singkat dengan nasabah dan petugas layanan. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa digitalisasi sistem Tring mampu meningkatkan kecepatan dan kemudahan layanan, meningkatkan keakuratan serta keamanan data transaksi, dan memberikan pengalaman layanan yang lebih efisien bagi nasabah. Meskipun demikian, masih ditemukan kendala berupa keterbatasan literasi digital pada sebagian nasabah sehingga diperlukan pendampingan berkelanjutan. Simpulan menunjukkan bahwa sistem Tring berperan penting dalam peningkatan kualitas pelayanan Pegadaian dan berpotensi mendukung pengembangan layanan keuangan digital yang lebih inklusif.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to assist PT PYX Supply Chain Division in improving the effectiveness of service procurement through the implementation of a competency-based vendor evaluation system. The main problem faced by partners is that the evaluation process still focuses on administrative and legal aspects of documents, so it is not yet able to fully describe the technical and managerial capabilities of vendors. The activity was carried out in the form of mentoring and technical assistance to procurement staff through several stages, including analysis of the evaluation system requirements, preparation of competency-based assessment formats, training in the use of evaluation instruments, and trial implementation in the partner's work environment. The results of the activity showed an increase in staff understanding and ability to assess vendor competencies objectively and measurably. The application of the new evaluation instruments also had a positive impact on the timeliness of the procurement process and increased consistency in assessment results between vendors. This activity made a real contribution to the company in developing a more professional, efficient, and competency-based procurement system.

Abstract

This activity is a form of community service implemented through an academic partnership program with PT XYZ. The focus of the activity is on improving the effectiveness of the production procurement process through the application of best practices in Limited Tender and Direct Appointment methods. The implementation team provided guidance and technical assistance to the staff of the Production Procurement Department of the Supply Chain Division in preparing procurement documents (RKS, HPS, and bid evaluation), strengthening understanding of the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG), and implementing the company's internal e-procurement system. The methods used to carry out the activities included socialization, case study-based training, field observations, and evaluation of the implementation results. The results of the activities showed an increase in procurement administration capabilities, a 20% improvement in process efficiency compared to before, and increased compliance with the company's internal guidelines. This activity is a concrete example of the synergy between academia and industry in strengthening transparent, effective, and accountable procurement governance in strategic BUMN environment.
