Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce in the digital era has transformed the lifestyle of Indonesian society, with TikTok Shop emerging as a prominent platform that integrates short-form video features and online shopping to captivate consumers. Despite experiencing significant growth, TikTok Shop still lags behind dominant platforms such as Shopee and Tokopedia. The challenge for TikTok Shop lies in its efforts to enhance consumer purchasing intentions amidst intense competition and unpredictable consumer behavior variability. This study aims to investigate the impact of online customer reviews, word of mouth (WOM), and price awareness on purchasing intentions on TikTok Shop. Prior research has yielded inconsistent findings, with online customer reviews and WOM occasionally exhibiting significant influence, albeit not consistently across all platforms, while price awareness has demonstrated varying effects contingent upon the context. This study employs a quantitative methodology, utilizing a survey design to collect data from 205 respondents selected through non-probability sampling using the convenience sampling technique. Data analysis is conducted using multiple regression analysis to examine the influence of online customer reviews, WOM, and price awareness on purchasing intentions on TikTok Shop. This research is expected to provide practical contributions to businesses operating on TikTok Shop, enabling them to design effective marketing strategies to enhance consumer purchasing intentions by analyzing the interplay of these variables within the context of TikTok Shop.

Abstract

In this digital era, cyberloafing—using the internet for personal purposes amid working hours—is progressively prevalent within the working environment, including within government institutions. Civil servants, as the backbone of public service, are expected to preserve work efficiency; however, widespread internet access opens opportunities to abuse working hours for personal online activities. This study intends to explore the influence of workload and job boredom on cyberloafing behaviour and the moderating role of organizational commitment among civil servants in Central Jakarta. The research employed a quantitative method with data collected through surveys. The data was analysed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with AMOS 30. The results indicate that both workload and job boredom have a positive and significant effect on cyberloafing behaviour. Conversely, organizational commitment affects cyberloafing negatively and significantly. Furthermore, organizational commitment was found to weaken the positive influence of these variables. These findings highlight the importance of reinforcing organizational commitment to minimize cyberloafing behaviour among civil servants.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of health service quality and patient satisfaction on revisit intention, with patient trust as a mediating variable, among hospitalized patients at Ciawi Regional Hospital. A quantitative method with a causal-comparative design was employed, and primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 108 inpatients. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS version 4.0. The measurement model evaluation indicated that all indicators fulfilled validity and reliability requirements, including convergent and discriminant validity assessed through Fornell-Larcker criteria, cross-loadings, and HTMT ratio. In the structural model analysis, the model demonstrated strong explanatory power, with an R-square value of 74.4% for revisit intention and 40.7% for patient trust, and showed predictive relevance with a Q-square value of 0.668. Hypothesis testing revealed that both health service quality and patient satisfaction had positive and significant effects on revisit intention and patient trust. Furthermore, patient trust was found to have a positive and significant influence on revisit intention. Mediation analysis confirmed that patient trust significantly mediated the relationship between health service quality and patient satisfaction on revisit intention. These findings support the applicability of the Theory of Planned Behavior in healthcare services and highlight the critical role of patient trust in bridging service quality and satisfaction to promote revisit intention. The study offers practical recommendations for Ciawi Regional Hospital to enhance service quality and build patient trust as strategies to increase patient loyalty and revisit frequency.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of cryptocurrency, specifically Bitcoin, as a hedging tool against the Indonesian stock market index (LQ-45) during periods of economic uncertainty, particularly influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic. Utilizing a dataset spanning from January 2015 to December 2024, the research employs K-Means clustering to classify periods into normal and crisis phases based on macroeconomic indicators. The DCC-GARCH model is then applied to assess the dynamic correlations between Bitcoin, the S&P 500, and gold with the LQ-45 index. Findings reveal that Bitcoin serves as both a hedging and safe-haven asset during crises, with an effectiveness of 36.61% in protecting portfolios. Conversely, the S&P 500 and gold exhibit limited effectiveness as hedging tools and do not function as safe havens during market turmoil. This study contributes to the understanding of alternative investment strategies in managing risk within emerging markets.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of budget planning and procurement of goods and services on budget absorption, with work plans and organizational commitment as moderators in the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DGIP) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Republic of Indonesia. By analyzing the data on budget absorption gathered between 2019 and 2022, it can be noted that the absorption rate has consistently decreased over these years and has not achieved full utilization, remaining below 100% annually. This trend in government budget absorption is prevalent across Indonesia, with a slow start at the beginning and acceleration toward the end of the fiscal year (Oktaliza Y., 2020). The decrease in DGIP's budget absorption has led to a reduction in the provision of intellectual property services to stakeholders. Therefore, it is necessary to examine several variables that influence budget absorption, including budget planning, procurement of goods and services, and organizational commitment, as identified in previous studies. This research adds the variable of work plans as a moderating factor, which has not been explored before. The study employed a questionnaire method administered to 30 selected respondents, comprising officials and employees of DGIP. The sample consisted of individuals involved directly in the processes of work and budget planning, procurement of goods and services, and budget absorption. The data were analyzed using quantitative methods and processed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 27. The findings of this research indicate that budget planning and procurement of goods and services have a positive and significant impact on budget absorption within the DGIP of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. Additionally, work plans moderate the influence of budget planning and procurement of goods and services on budget absorption. However, organizational commitment does not moderate the impact of budget planning and procurement of goods and services on budget absorption in the DGIP of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
