Abstract

Hypertension is a noncommunicable illness that is a severe health concern across the world also one of the main global causes of early mortality. It might be difficult to treat people with diabetes mellitus and hypertension using pharmaceuticals, including the use of many drugs, which allows for unexpected treatment outcomes DRPs. Examining the impact of DRPs on blood pressure reduction goals in individuals with diabetes mellitus who had hypertension was the aim of this study. This research was conducted on 86 outpatients in August-October 2023. Data collection used purposive sampling method. The results showed the achievement of blood pressure as much as 41 (47.68%). The occurrence of DRPs found included indications without therapy 13 (3.43%), therapy without indication 16 (4.23%), drug interactions 349 (92.32%). Mann whitney statistical test results obtained p=0.947. The study revealed that DRPs had no effect on the blood pressure lowering aim. Keywords:          Blood Pressure, Diabetes Mellitus, Drug Related Problems, Hypertension   Abstrak Hipertensi adalah penyakit tidak menular yang menjadi masalah kesehatan serius di dunia dan salah satu penyebab utama kematian. Pemberian terapi farmakologi untuk pasien hipertensi dengan diabetes mellitus sangat beragam, seperti penggunaan obat yang lebih dari satu. Hal ini memungkinkan terjadinya hasil pengobatan yang tidak diharapkan yaitu DRPs. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Pengaruh DRPs Terhadap Target Penurunan Tekanan Darah Pada Pasien Hipertensi Dengan Diabetes Mellitus. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap seluruh pasien hipertensi dengan diabetes melitus rawat jalan pada bulan Agustus-Oktober tahun 2023 dengan sampel 86. Pengambilan data menggunakan purposive sampling.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ketercapaian tekanan darah sebanyak 41 (47,68%). Hasil kejadian DRPs meliputi indikasi tanpa terapi 13 (3,43%), Terapi tanpa indikasi 16 (4,23%), Interaksi obat 349 (92,32%). Hasil uji statistik Mann whitney didapatkan nilai p=0,947. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh kejadian DRPs terhadap target penurunan tekanan darah. Kata Kunci:         Diabetes Mellitus, Drug Related Problems, Hipertensi, Tekanan Darah

Abstract

Old age is the phase of life that reaches the end of the human cycle in the world. One of the challenges faced by the elderly is a decrease in the function of the cardiovascular system, including hypertension problems. If not treated seriously, hypertension in the elderly can result in various complications such as heart attacks, coronary heart disease, kidney failure and stroke. Hypertension sufferers need family support to comply with taking antihypertensive medication. This study aims to determine the effect of family support on medication adherence in elderly patients with hypertension. This research was conducted on all elderly hypertensive patients with or without complications who were undergoing hypertension therapy at the Babat Community Health Center in the period December-January 2024. This research method used Cross-Sectional, samples were taken using the Purposive Sampling method. Data were analyzed using the Chi Square test. The research results show that the Asymp Sig. (2 tailed) obtained is 0.00, this proves that family support influences the level of compliance of elderly patients in taking medication for hypertension. Keywords:          Family support, Hypertension, Compliance with taking medication   Abstrak Usia lanjut adalah fase kehidupan yang mencapai akhir siklus manusia di dunia. Salah satu tantangan yang dihadapi oleh lansia adalah penurunan fungsi sistem kardiovaskular, termasuk masalah hipertensi. Jika tidak ditangani dengan serius, hipertensi pada lansia dapat mengakibatkan berbagai macam komplikasi seperti penyakit serangan jantung, jantung koroner, gagal ginjal, dan stroke. Penderita hipertensi membutuhkan dukungan keluarga agar patuh dalam minum obat antihpertensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dukungan keluarga terhadap kepatuhan minum obat pada pasien lansia dengan hipertensi. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap seluruh pasien lansia hipertensi dengan atau tanpa komplikasi yang sedang menjalani terapi hipertensi di Puskesmas Babat pada periode bulan Desember-Januari tahun 2024. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Cross-Sectional, sampel diambil menggunakan metode Purposive Sampling. Data dianalisis dengan uji Chi Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  bahwa nilai Asymp Sig. (2 tailed) yang didapatkan yaitu 0,00, ini membuktikan bahwa dukungan keluarga memengaruhi tingkat kepatuhan pasien lansia dalam mengonsumsi obat untuk hipertensi.
