Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a very diverse wealt in the from of the beuty of flora and fauna ecosystems and natural phenomena. Given the importance of forests to people’s lives both directly and indirectly, forest esources must be managed properly. One of these is natural resources the biodiversity park. The biodersity park is a reserve area of biological natural resource of local outside the forest area that has ex-situ and in-situ conservation, especially for plants that are pollinated or the locator is assistend bay animals with the composition and structure of vegetation that can suport the pollinator and scatter conservation seeds, there for the maintenance in biodiversity park. Therefore this study aims to examine the comunity perceptions of Bokak Sebumbun Village on the exsistence of he biodiversity park in Sekadau Hilir Subdistrict and to analize he relationship of age, knowlage and cosmopolitan factor from the perception of the Bokak Sebumbun Village to the exstence of biodiversity Parks. This study used an interview technique research method for 84 respondents to the head of the family in Bokak Sembumbun Village. Examples of respondent were conducted using purposive sampling technique. Data analysis using descriptive and inferential data analysis from the Kendall Tau correlation. The results show that people perceptions Bokak Sebumbun Village of existence biodiversity parks tend to be natural, because people basically realize that they depend on the surrounding biodiversity park. However, the comunity does not understand how to manage sustainably so that the benefits are sustainable. Keywords: Perception, Bokak Sebumbun, Biodiversity Park.

Abstract

The Dayak Ribun Tribe Society has natural resources that can be developed as a source of community income. Interaction with nature still exists today so there is a need for research on the types of plants that are used, the art forms that are made and the parts of the plants that are used by the Dayak Ribun Tribe of Gunam Village, Parindu District, Sanggau District as art crafts. The method used in this study is a survey method with interview techniques for taking respondents to snowball sampling. Retrieval of data or information is carried out directly by researchers on selected respondents, prospective respondents are determined by respondents who have been interviewed beforehand and continue to the next respondent. Respondents were obtained as many as 32 people. Data collection is done by observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation using a camera. The number of plant species used in Gunam Village as raw material for crafts and raw materials for musical instruments as many as 14 species from 9 families includes Areaceae, Gleicheniaceae, Poaceae, Thymelaeaceae, Apocynaceae, Dipterocarpaceae, Simaroubaceae, Fagaceae and Moraceae. The part of the plant that was used by the community in Gunam Village was found as many as 9 types of stems, 2 types of leaves, 2 types of seeds, 1 root, 1 type of fruit and 1 bark. There were two types of plants that were used by more than one plant organs namely Kemenyan or Aquilaria sp and keraci or Lithocarpus sp. Art forms that are used in the form of crafts and musical instruments. Abstract

Rattan is a non-timber forest product that lives and grows in tropical forest and is very suitable for planting in Indonesia. Landau-Mentail village has the potential of abundant forest products which can be seen from its forest that have not yet been used as settlements, however, the potential of the forest in this village is not properly by the community due to a lack of community interest in processing forest products. This research is to get information on how people use rattan and how manny products they produce and describe the increase in income that people get from the result of rattan products. The method used is descriptive method with survey techniques in Landau-Mentail Village. The result of the study showed that people used rattan to be waven, there were 4 woven products that the community produces can increase revenue by 43.96% of total income of respondents who sell their wicker to the market.Keyword: Rattan, Community, Income, Landau Mentail Village

Abstract

Medicinal plants are one of the important components in medicine, in the form of traditional herbal concoctions and have been used since hundreds of years ago, to solve various health problems. This study aims to obtain the spesies of traditional medicinal plants used by the community in Gunung Sembilan Village in treating diseases and to know the use of medicinal plants and how to concoct medicinal raw materials. Data collection with interview and determination of responden uses a snowball sampling technique or carried out sequentially by asking for information on people who have been interviewed or contacted before the research. Observations were made, namely by walking while (without plots) making direct observations in the field together with respondents who knew about the medicinal plants. The results of interviews with the community of Gunung Sembilan Village, Sukadana District North Kayong Regency, 27 species of medicinal plants and 23 families were utilized by the community. The use of herbs is single or mixed, the most widely used are leaves (10 species or 37.04%). The most commonly used processing method is pounded (12 species or 44.44%), and how to consume the most frequently done, which is drink (12 species or 44.44%).Keywords : Gunung Sembilan village community, medicinal plants.

Abstract

This study aims to explore information on the types of birds that are traded, to know the description of the location of birds originating, to know the status of protected species traded, to know the locations of shelters and the sale of traded birds, to know the number and prices of birds traded. This research was conducted in Ketapang City for 10 days effectively in the field, with the research method in field data collection using snowball sampling technique, namely determining key respondents to then determine other respondents who also knew the relevant information from previous respondents. The results of the data obtained at the time of the study were 267 individuals from 31 species of birds traded. The origin of the traded birds is a specific natural catch in the Jelai Hulu sub-district, Tumbang Titi sub-district, Kendawangan sub-district, Sandai sub-district, Laur sub-district, Matan Hilir Selatan sub-district, Matan Hilir Utara sub-district, Muara Pawan sub-district, and Teluk Batang sub-district and Kayong Utara regency. There are 11 protected bird species as a whole belonging to 15 tribes (families). Of these types, they fall into the protected category according to the Indonesian Law. Birds are in the category of Apendix II CITES and birds are listed in the IUCN Red List category. As for the research on the trading location there were 10 respondents 2 people in the hunter category and 8 bird shops / traders. while the most types of birds sold per type are Kacer (copshycus saularis) as many as 50 Tails / Individual, Murai batu (Copsychus malabaricus) and Serindit (Loriculus galgulus) as many as 44 Tails / Individuals.Keyword: Bird Species, Bird Trade, Ketapang

Abstract

Terati Village is one of the villages in Jangkang District which has quite extensive forest resources. With the existence of HTI PT. Finnantara Intiga in Terati Village, it certainly can affect the socio-economic life of the communit. Industrial timber plantations (HTI) are production forest areas that apply intensive forestry cultivation (silviculture) to meet the raw material of the forestry industry, both timber and non timber. In the midst of the scarcity of natural production forests, HTI is the foundation of future forest product production. Exploitation of natural forest products since the 70s has become a significant source of state income. The method used is a survey method with interview techniques. Sampling was done intentionally (purposive sampling). The number of samples taken was 83 respondents who live in Terati Village. Characteristics of respondents taken are a minimum age of 19-65 years, Have lived at least 5 (five) years in the Village of Terati, Can read and write Healthy physically and spiritually. Data analysis consists of community perceptions, the relationship between age, knowledge, cosmopolitan and income and community perceptions.based on the results of data and calculations of the four variables for the age category with community income there is no relationship with community perception, while for the category of knowledge and cosmopolitan there is a real relationship with community perception. The observation shows that 17 respondents (20.48%) tend to have a high perception of the existence of HTI PT. Finnantara Intiga in Terati Village, Jangkang Subdistrict, Sanggau Regency, 52 respondents (62.65%) tended to have a moderate perception of the existence of PT. Finnantara Intiga in Terati Village, Jangkang District, Sanggau Regency and 14 (16.47%) respondents tended to have a low perception of the existence of PT.
