Abstract

Education is a component that is used as a reference for the progress of a nation. This research aims to examine teachers' creativity in learning mathematics to increase students' interest in learning. A teacher must have great creativity in the learning process so that students can be interested in learning mathematics. This research is qualitative that took place in MI Tarbiyyatul Arifin. Data collection was carried out through structured interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis is carried out by collecting data, presenting it and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the creativity that an educator possesses is product creativity and person creativity. Product creativity in the mathematics learning process uses media in concrete ways that use real-life examples. The personal creativity that an educator possesses is that he or she has a good personality, is intelligent, has new ideas in the learning process, is friendly, is good at communicating and can dominate the class well. The learning process can also be enjoyable and comfortable for students to learn. This increases the interest of MI Tarbiyyatul Arifin students in learning

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the integration of Islamic values in mathematics learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyyah. This study uses a library research method or library research, literature study is a research method that utilizes library sources as a source in research activities. The data collection technique used in this literature research is to look for data on matters or variables in the form of notes, books, papers, or articles and journals. After the data is collected, content analysis is carried out to get the right and accurate conclusion formulation. Data analysis consists of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study found several discussions regarding the Definition of Integration of Islamic Values, Mathematics Learning, Principles of Knowledge Integration, Strategies for the Integration of Islamic Values in Mathematics Learning, and Integration of Islamic Values in Mathematics Learning. The conclusion of this study is that the integration of Islamic values in the mathematics learning process at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah initially felt difficult to implement. Especially for mathematics subjects that have a lot to do with numbers, formulas, and geometric construction, it will feel easy to apply if we as educators always try to find gaps to instill Islamic religious values in classroom learning

Abstract

Self-Efficacy is one of the factors that can affect students' mathematical communication ability. Focus Self-Efficacy in this study, namely students' self-confidence in mathematical communication ability in written mathematics, especially material systems of linear equations. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect Self-Efficacy on the mathematical communication ability of class X MAN 2 Malang. This research approach uses a quantitative causal comparative method. The sample in this study amounted to 32 students obtained from the sampling technique simple random sampling. Obtaining data in this study is in the form of related questionnaire results Self-Efficacy consisting of 25 statement items and 4 descriptive test items to measure students' mathematical communication ability. The results of this study indicate that students' mathematical communication ability are influenced by Self-Efficacy 81.7% which is categorized as very strong and the remaining 18.3% is influenced by other factors. Thus, it can be stated that Self-Efficacy has a significant effect on the mathematical communication ability of class X MAN 2 Malang students in the material of systems of linear equations. Therefore, teachers must continue to encourage increasing student Self-Efficacy. Because with high Self-Efficacy, students' mathematical communication abilities will also be high, so that student learning outcomes will also increase.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the mental model of students in solving algebraic proof problems reviewed based on their gender. This study is a descriptive study. Data and data sources were obtained through problem-solving questionnaire instruments and subject interviews. The study was conducted at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The subjects used were one male student and one female student with high GPAs. The validity of the data was tested using time triangulation. Data analysis refers to Miles Huberman's data analysis technique. The results of the study indicate that the mental model of male students in solving algebraic proof problems includes an implicational mental model and a functional mental model, while in terms of structure, the syllogistic decision making that occurs is invalid. While the mental model of female students in solving algebraic proof problems includes an implicational mental model, a functional mental model, and a structural mental model.

Abstract

Hasil belajar siswa merupakan salah satu alat ukur untuk melihat capaian seberapa jauh siswa dapat menguasai materi pelajaran yang telah disampaikan oleh guru. Dari hasil wawancara dengan guru yang menjabat sebagai guru kelas dan guru mata pelajaran. Bahwa kelas V di MI Hasyim Asy'ari Dampit termasuk kelas yang aktif, tetapi peserta didik tetap antusias mengikuti pelajaran. Rumusan masalah yaitu Bagaimana pengembangan modul kecepatan dan debit berbasis lectora inspire  secara desaign? Apakah modul kecepatan dan debit berbasis lectora inspire  dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar ? Apakah modul efisien dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar Matematika materi kecepatan dan debit?. Pada bagian metode yang dilakukan oleh peneliti untuk memperoleh proses dan hasil yang sistematis dan relevan. Penelitian yang dilakukan jenisnya adalah R&D (resourch and development), dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Kevalidan media e-modul berbasis secara kesuluran jika diprosentasekan hasilnya 86%. Kevalidan materi e-modul berbasis lectora inspire  secara keseluruhan jika diprosentasekan mencapai 90%. Kevalidan pembelajaran dari e-modul berbasi lectora inspire  secara keseluruhan jika diprosentasekan diperoleh hasil 89%. Dengan kreteria “sangat layak” digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Adapun dari data tabel diatas uji t signifikasinya dari perlakuan terhadap sampel kelas VA (kelas kontrol) posttest dan kelas VB (kelas eksperimen) e posttest. Menunjukkan bahwa hasil sinifikasi <0,05 maka hipotesis dapat berhasil. Adapun signifikansi perlakuan posttest dan E posttest dari tabel diatas memperoleh data 0,01 maka hipotesis variabel Y dalam penelitian dinyatakan berhasil.

Abstract

Understanding of cube and cuboid concepts is one of the essential goals of solid geometry learning. Most studies of students’ understanding of these concepts have posited a gap between the students’ surface area and volume conceptions of its and students’ understanding. The study aims to describe the students’ mental constructions in APOS (Action, Process, Object, and Schema) theory framework. This study used analysis of students as subject to three junior high school students who have differences in mathematical abilities with a qualitative approach. Data were collected by the task sheet and interview. The result of this study evidences that subject who has high mathematical ability could solve problems about cube and cuboid concepts correctly in the action stage. In the process and object stage, subject could provide detailed explanations of how steps to assess the surface area and volume of cube and cuboid. She compared two shapes with different sizes of cube and cuboid. In the schema stage, she made systematic understanding related to the concepts of surface area and volume of cube and cuboid. The subject who has medium mathematical ability explained her mental construction in action and process stage well, despite the error in the process stage. Next stage, she had compared two different shapes of cube and cuboid to found their ratio. The last stage, she had not completed her explanation. The subject has low mathematical ability could solve the problems about cube and cuboid concepts. At the process, object, and schema stage, she had not completed its indicators to show cube and cuboid concepts.

Abstract

The development of the 21st century demands that students not only have the ability to think critically and creatively, but also communication skills, especially in mathematics learning. However, various studies show that students still have difficulty communicating their mathematical ideas, both verbally and in writing, especially when working in groups and facing contextual problems. The purpose of this study is to describe the mathematical communication profile of students in solving contextual problems collaboratively reviewed based on high, medium, and low self-efficacy. A qualitative approach with an exploratory research type is used in this study. The subject of the study is a student of class XI MAN 2 Malang. The research data were obtained through the results of the Contextual Problem Solving Task (TPMK) and interviews. Data analysis was carried out by the triangulation method. The results showed that students with high self-efficacy tended to communicate their mathematical ideas orally. Students with self-efficacy showed balanced verbal and written communication but were less consistent in explaining mathematical models and operations, while students with low self-efficacy were more dominant in written communication.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to help grade XI students in MAN 2 Jombang in understanding the concept of derivative functions using derivative ladder learning media. The method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) using 4 stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of the study were 2 students of class XI Religion 1. From the results of the implementation of cycles 1 to 3, it can be concluded that the use of derivative ladder mathematics learning media can increase students' understanding of mathematical concepts. ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk membantu siswa kelas XI di MAN 2 Jombang dalam memahami konsep turunan fungsi menggunakan media pembelajaran tangga turunan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan 4 tahap yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subyek penelitian adalah 2 orang siswa kelas XI Agama 1. Dari hasil pelaksanaan siklus 1 sampai 3 dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran matematika tangga turunan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep matematis.

Abstract

Reasoning is a process of logical thinking. Proof is a series of logical arguments to show the truth of a statement. Reasoning is needed in proving a statement. The purpose of this study is to describe the deductive reasoning of Olympiad students in solving mathematical proofs based on field independent and field dependent cognitive styles. The indicators of deductive reasoning used are compiling evidence against the correctness of solutions, checking the validity of an argument, drawing conclusions from mathematical statements. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, located at MAN 2 Malang City. Subject selection based on field independent–field dependent cognitive style using the GEFT questionnaire, as many as four students. The research data were in the form of answer sheets and interview transcripts and were analyzed through triangulation methods. The results showed that field independent students were able to fulfill all indicators and construct proofs using mathematical induction and Gaussian proofs correctly. Meanwhile, field dependent students cannot fulfill all indicators, and in compiling evidence using mathematical induction, students go through n = k proof, so the structure of the evidence is incomplete. ABSTRAK Penalaran merupakan proses berpikir logis. Bukti merupakan rangkaian argumen logis untuk menunjukkan kebenaran suatu pernyataan. Penalaran diperlukan dalam membuktikan suatu pernyataan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan penalaran deduktif siswa olimpiade dalam menyelesaikan pembuktian matematika berdasarkan gaya kognitif field independent maupun field dependent. Indikator penalaran deduktif yang digunakan yaitu menyusun bukti terhadap kebenaran solusi, memeriksa keshahihan suatu argumen, menarik kesimpulan dari pernyataan matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, berlokasi di MAN 2 Kota Malang. Pemilihan subjek berdasarkan gaya kognitif field independent–field dependent menggunakan angket GEFT, sebanyak empat siswa. Data hasil penelitian berupa lembar jawaban dan transkip wawancara serta dianalisis melalui triangulasi metode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa field independent dapat memenuhi seluruh indikator dan menyusun pembuktian menggunakan induksi matematika maupun bukti Gauss dengan tepat. Sedangkan siswa field dependent tidak dapat memenuhi seluruh indikator, dan dalam menyusun bukti menggunakan induksi matematika, siswa melewati pembuktian n=k, sehingga susunan bukti tidak lengkap.
