Abstract

W-type Barium hexaferrite with a crystal structure BaMe2Fe16O27 (Me is a divalent metal) has a good magnetic properties and high value of currie temperature. Ion substitution on W-type Barium Hexaferrite can be improve the properties of W-type Barium Hexaferrite. For this research, substitution Fe by ion Co and Ti with x = 0 and 0.1 by mechanical alloying method will be performed. Mixing of basic materials BaCO3, Fe2O3, Co3O4, and TiO2 by milling process using high energy ball mill in a wet milling condition using toluene for 1 hour followed with calcination and sintering. Then Crystal structure in the sample will be analyzed using XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) with CuKα radiation. The calculation of the phase BaCoTiFe16O27 (x = 0) obtained values of lattice parameters a=b= 5.886 Å dan c= 23.236 Å, while the phase BaCoTiFe15.8Co0.1Ti0.1O27 (x = 0.1) obtained values of lattice parameters a=b= 5.894 Å dan c= 23.257 Å. Abstract

Barium hexaferrite with hexagonal molecular BaFe12O19 is one of the magnetic materials that widely used for research, about improving the quality of material corresponding the application. BaFe12O19 has high HC (magnetic saturation), good chemical stability, high TC (Curie temperature) and corrosion resistant. Synthesis material BaFe12-x(CoTi0.5Mn0.5)x/2O19, with x=0 and x=1, made through smoothing BaCO3, Fe2O3, Co3O4, TiO2, and MnCO3 using High Energy Ball Mill for 1 hour by using wet milling method. Then calcinating at temperature of 750°C for 3 hours and sintering at temperature 1100°C for 6 hours. Expected in this material may be formed phases can be identified and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD) to identify the crystal structure of the materials and processed using High-Score Plus application. From the XRD chart, known that the substitution ion Mn, Co and Ti has been done. The value of lattice parameter is a = b =5.88 Å, and c = 23.24 Å. Abstract

W-type Barium Hexaferrite (BaMe2Fe12O27) has high value of currie temperature, very small coercivity (Hc), and the highest magnetic saturation (Ms) than the other ferrite materials. The W-type Barium Hexaferrite has a crystal structure that built up as a superposition of S and R blocks. Appearance of divalent and trivalent cations that distributed among various sublattices makes W-type Barium Hexaferrite become very interesting for basic studies and different applications. Synthesis and characterization of materials W-type Barium Hexaferrite by modify the value of Ba and Sr in Ba1-xSrxCoTiFe16O27 with composition x=0 and x=0.1 to determine the characteristics of the phases/crystals that formed, conducted through the process of smoothing powders of basic materials BaCO3, Fe2O3, SrCO3, Co3O4 and TiO2 by the High Energy Ball Mill for 1 hour in a wet condition (toluene). Phase forming in sintering 1100°C for 3 hours. By crystallographic analysis with measurements of X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD) on a target of Cobalt anode or anode Co, obtained phase analysis by qualitative and quantitative. From this result obtained magnetic materials BaCoTiFe16O27 and Ba0.9Sr0.1CoTiFe16O27. Lattice parameter values for BaCoTiFe16O27 and Ba0.9Sr0.1CoTiFe16O27 are a=b=5.89 Å, c= 23.24 Å dan a=b=5.89 Å, c= 23.23 Å. BaCoTiFe16O27 has a higher cell volume than Ba0.9S0.1CoTiFe16O27. Abstract

Has performed the initial characterization of BaFe12O19 wasted magnet (Barium Hexaferrite). Characterization has done by analyzing the crystal structure using X-Ray Difraction (XRD). The analysis showed that the sample is a single phase, namely BaFe12O19. Samples with a hexagonal crystal structure (space group P63 / mmc), lattice parameters a = b = 5.892 Ã…, c = 23.183 Ã… with and . Samples also have the atomic density of 5.32 and the unit cell volume 693.608 with a crystal size of 632.7 Ã…. The results showed BaFe12O19 wasted can be reused as a new magnet material. Abstract

This research aims to know 1) the difference between the concept of optical tools toward learning model, 2) the difference of metacognitive ability toward the concept of optical tools and, 3) the impact of the interaction between learning model and metacognitive ability. The subject target of this research are the student of grade 10 students majoring at natural scince ( X-MIA) of Penabur Christian Senior High School 3 Jakarta ( SMAK 3 Penabur Jakarta ) academic year 2013/2014. The research model user experimental quatient method which are devided into two group without controlling group. The design of this research user treatment by level 2x2 using variety analysis technique ( ANAVA) two directions with interaction. The data of metacognitive ability is gathered using statement questionare totalling 50 statements using Linkert scale model. The validation test of metacognitive instrument uses the correlation of product moment and the test of reliability uses Alpha Cronbach technique. After being validated the instrument used are only 35 questionare. The data of comprehension of the optical tools concept uses multiple choice test consisting 25 questions which are validated using Biserial correlation point and reliability test uses Kuder and Richardson technique ( KR-21). The data are analized using pre-conditional test which uses normality test of Liliefors and homogenity test using Fisher test( test F) and Barlett test. The result of this researh shows : 1) ther is no difference of the comprehension of the concept of optical tools against learning model, 2) there is no influence of learning model interaction and metacognitive ability, 3) there is a difference of comprehension of the concept of optical tools against metacognitive ability. Abstract

Telah dilakukan survey terhadap 17 orang guru fisika SMA di Jabodetabek, yang bertujuan mendapatkan informasi tentang bahan ajar yang dibutuhkan sebagai penunjang pembelajaran dalam kurikulum 2013. 70,6 % guru menyatakan bahwa disekolah mereka sudah diimplementasikan kurikulum 2013. Sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum tersebut sekolah membutuhkan bahan ajar yang memfasilitasi siswa menerapkan 5 M didalam pembelajaran, yang sebetulnya tidak lain menerapkan pembelajaran berpusat pada siswa. Dibutuhkan bahan ajar penunjang (pendamping buku teks) yang memungkin siswa belajar secara mandiri. Salah satu pendekatan dalam pembelajaran fisika yang dapat memfasilitasi terlaksananya 5M adalah CTL. Bahan ajar yang dibutuhkan siswa untuk belajar mandiri adalah modul. Kenyataannya hanya 8,7 % responden yang menggunakan modul dalam pembelajaran, padahal 70,6% guru menyatakan sudah mengikuti workshop Kurikulum 2013 dan 94,2% responden menyatakan bahwa bahan ajar sekarang belum memenuhi tuntutan kurikulum 2013. Berdasarkan informasi yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa perlu dikembangkan bahan ajar penunjang berupa modul contextual. Kata Kunci: Modul, CTL, Kurikulum 2013.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penumbuhan lapisan tipis ZnO 0.02 mol diatas substrat Si (111) menggunakan teknik Ultrasonic Spray Pyrolysis (USP) dengan suhu tumbuh 4000C, 4500C, dan 5000C. Serbuk Zn(CH3COO)2 . 2H2O digunakan sebagai larutan precursor dengan air de-ionisasi sebagai pelarut. Berdasarkan profil warna lapisan tipis ZnO yang tumbuh diatas substrate silikon diprediksikan memiliki ketebalan sekitar 200 nm. Sementara, hasil karakterisasi menggunakan X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) pada temperature ruang menunjukan bahwa fasa kristal yang terbentuk merupakan polikristal ZnO dengan intensitas spectrum XRD yang tidak linear dengan penambahan suhu tumbuh. Abstract

Sintesis material komposit grafit dengan penambahan SiO2 untuk aplikasi lempeng bipolar telah dilakukan. Melalui proses penekanan panas (hot press) pada temperature 100 oC dengan beban tekan 4 ton telah menghasilkan padatan grafit yang terekatkan dengan penambahan polimer resin. Sifat mekanik material komposit grafit diketahui dengan nilai kekerasannya melalui pengujian hardness vickers (HV) dengan beban 200 gram yang menghasilkan jejak-jejak berbentuk diagonal. Datadata hasil penekanan diperoleh dua garis diagonal yang merupakan besaran dalam formulasi penentuan nilai kekerasan vickers. Hasil optimal dalam penelitian ini adalah material komposit grafit dengan penambahan SiO2 sebanyak 15 % berat dengan nilai HV 25,1 kg/mm2 hasil ini sudah cukup dalam aplikasi lempeng bipolar yaitu menahan beban tekan. Abstract

The early study on preparation, process and characterization of activated carbon from coconut shell charcoal has being done to achieve the optimum activated carbon performance. The preparation involved cleaning, drying and sequent sieving and heat treatment. The coconut shell was pyrolyzed at temperature about 70 – 1000C for about 6 hours. The coconut shell charcoal then was sieved once to produce rough powder while finer powder was achieved by twice sieving. SEM analysis result showed that the coconut shell charcoal morphology has pore structure in about micro size. From EDS analysis, the major element content of charcoal was carbon C (82.92 %wt). From PSA analysis, it showed that differential volume of rough charcoal powder was distributed into 5.610 – 6.760 µm (41.14 %) and 15.65 – 17.18 µm (32.83%) while finer charcoal powder was distributed into 0.452 – 3.519 µm (99,77%). Abstract

Teknik penumbuhan ZnO nanorods dilakukan menggunakan dua tahap, yaitu tahap deposisi lapisan benih dan penumbuhan nanorods. Deposisi lapisan benih dilakukan menggunakan teknik ultrasonic nebulizer 1.7 MHz dan penumbuhan nanorods menggunakan teknik hidrotermal pada suhu 95 oC selama 2 jam. Fokus penelitian ini adalah mengamati pengaruh perlakuan panas larutan prekursor pada penumbuhan ZnO nanorods. Morfologi ZnO nanorods akan diamati menggunakan scanning electron microscopy (SEM) dan analisis komposisi menggunakan EDX. Hasil pengamatan mengkonfirmasi ZnO nanorods tumbuh di atas substrat dengan orientasi acak dan ukuran diameter yang bervariasi. Pengujian komposisi ZnO nanorods dilakukan menggunakan energy dispersive x-ray (EDX) memberikan konfirmasi jumlah elemen Zn yang memiliki komposisi paling besar dibandingkan dengan elemen lainnya. ZnO nanorods grown technique with two steps, namely seed layer deposition and nanorods grown. Seed layer deposition by ultrasonic nebulizer 1.7 MHz and ZnO nanorods were grown by hydrothermal at 95 oC for two hours. The focus of this research is to observe the effect of heat treatment of precursor solutions on the growth of ZnO nanorods. The morfology of ZnO nanorods will be observed with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and composition analysis with EDX. The results confirm the ZnO nanorods growing on the substrate with random orientation and varying diameter sizes. ZnO nanorods composition testing performed using dispersive x-ray energy (EDX) confirmed the number of Zn elements that have the greatest composition compared to other elements.
