Abstract

This study explores the integration of Qur'anic teaching methods into modern educational frameworks, focusing on holistic student development. The research addresses the limitations of traditional educational practices that primarily emphasize intellectual skills, overlooking emotional, spiritual, and participatory growth. By applying thematic exegesis (tafsir mawdhu’i), this study synthesizes key Qur'anic principles hikmah (wisdom), mau’izhah hasanah (compassionate advice), and shura (consultation) and aligns them with contemporary pedagogical theories. The study utilizes a qualitative approach, employing literature review and thematic analysis to examine the application of these principles in fostering critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and collaborative learning. Findings reveal that integrating Qur'anic pedagogy into modern education enhances cognitive, emotional, and social development, contributing to the creation of more balanced and ethical learning environments. The study concludes that the incorporation of these Qur'anic methods provides a comprehensive framework for educators to cultivate well-rounded students capable of navigating modern educational and societal challenges. Recommendations include further research on the systematic application of these principles across diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

The global ecological crisis demands an educational paradigm capable of fostering holistic environmental awareness and ethics. This study analyzes the concept of nature based education in the Qur’an through a literature review of three groups of ayat kauniyah: QS. Al-Nahl [16]: 10–17, which portrays ecological systems as divine blessings and signs; QS. Al-Ghashiyah [88]: 17–20, which emphasizes observation andreflection on the structure of creation; and QS. Ali Imran [3]: 190–191, which highlights the integration of scientific contemplation and spiritual consciousness. Using a literature-based methodology, this research draws from classical and contemporary tafsir, environmental education texts, and ecological studies. The findings show that the Qur’an promotes an educational framework grounded in empirical observation, spiritual reflection, and the integration of tawhid as the foundation of ecological ethics. Islamic education holds strong potential as a solution to the ecological crisis when directed toward strengthening environmental literacy, moral awareness, and practical ecological action. This study affirms that ayat kauniyah serve as an epistemological basis that connects revelation, natural sciences, and human responsibility as stewards of the earth.

Abstract

This study conducted a systematic review to examine the role of self-awareness in increasing learning focus and its contribution to strengthening student independence in elementary school. A total of 12 scientific articles published in the 2021–2026 range were comprehensively analyzed. The results of the study show three main mechanisms that make self-awareness-based mindfulness a key intervention. First, self-awareness plays a role in improving the executive function of the brain, including attention control, inhibition of impulsive responses, and cognitive flexibility, which are neurocognitive prerequisites for learning focus. Second, self-awareness provides practical strategies for managing anxiety and stress that can interfere with concentration, while also improving students' emotional awareness. Third, self-awareness supports the formation of school culture and teacher practices that create a supportive learning ecosystem. Advanced synthesis analysis showed that the reinforcement of self-control acted as a mediator explaining the indirect relationship between self-awareness and increased learning focus. Based on these findings, this study recommends the systematic integration of self-awareness practices through reflective activities, simple mindfulness exercises, and emotionally responsive learning strategies in the curriculum and training of elementary school teachers to support academic development, especially in improving learning focus.
