Abstract

This research was prompted by observations of the potential for enhancing thisability among fourth-grade students at SD Gendongan 01 Salatiga. The objectiveof this classroom action research (CAR) was to improve students' creative thinkingability through the application of a differentiated learning approach integrated withthe Discovery Learning model. The study employed a CAR design implemented intwo cycles with [19] students. The action research learning integrating theDiscovery Learning syntax with strategies for process and product differentiation.Data were collected through observation, creative thinking tests, and productassessment, then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed asignificant improvement in students' creative thinking ability. At the end of Cycle 1,the distribution of creativity levels was: 36.8% highly creative, 47.4% creative, and15.8% sufficiently creative. Following refinements to the intervention, Cycle 2results showed 63.2% highly creative and 36.8% creative, with no studentsremaining in the sufficiently creative category. This improvement indicated thatDiscovery Learning provides an effective exploratory framework when combinedwith differentiation that accommodates individual needs through process andproduct adjustments. It was concluded that the integration of differentiated learningand Discovery Learning effectively enhances the creative thinking ability of fourth-grade students at SD Gendongan 01 Salatiga.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam menafsirkan informasi diagram gambar melalui pendekatan Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) Kabar Ceria (Kartu Gambar Cermat dan Interaktif). Jenis penelitian adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Model PTK yang digunakan adalah model spiral C. Kemmis & Mc.Taggart yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes tertulis. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif. Desain penelitian adalah One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan. Hasil belajar pretest dan posttest setelah dianalisis oleh peneliti melalui uji normalitas gain menurut Meltzer pada siklus I menghasilkan kriteria “Rendah”, dan pada akhir siklus II menghasilkan kriteria “Tinggi”. Hasil belajar berdasarkan persentase ketuntasan belajar pra siklus, siklus I, dan siklus II sebesar 46%; 77%; dan 92%. Pembelajaran dengan mengintegrasikan budaya berupa permainan tradisional engklek dan mengkaitkan materi dengan kehidupan nyata peserta didik berupa kartu gambar dalam proses pembelajaran memberikan kesempatan kepada peserta didik untuk membangun pengetahuan secara optimal serta belajar dengan cara yang menarik dan menyenangkan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan CRT Kabar Ceria dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam menafsirkan informasi diagram gambar pada kelas II SD Negeri Dukuh 01 Kota Salatiga.

Abstract

Abstract. The main character, Yasmin, in the novel Maya was described as a strong and independent woman. Her relationship with other characters in the novel was the main focus of this research in terms of the power relation between Yasmin and other characters. This study aimed to find out Yasmin’s traits (in addition to the existing traits analyzed) through the analysis of politeness strategies used by Yasmin in her relationship with other characters. Qualitative method was used in which data analyzed were utterances. The utterances were analyzed based on the power relation between speaker and hearer as well as the politeness strategies used. The discussion showed that Yasmin used positive politeness more than other strategies and put herself in the position of holding the power in her relationship with other characters. Thus, Yasmin can be considered as a person who is confident as well as flexible. Keywords: Politeness Strategies, Character, Power Relation
