Abstract

Sea transportation accounts for 3% of the global greenhouse gas effect. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is committed to reducing the impact of greenhouse gases by 50% in 2050—Indonesia is a maritime country with 10.8% of the world's ship register. High traffic has an impact on increased gas emissions. The IMO has made a policy on the Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan. IMO recommends using Shore Side Electricity to reduce exhaust emissions, namely the use of electricity sources from land will reduce the operation of the ship's generator when berthing.This SSE case study uses the State Ship (KN) Masalembo at the Tanjung Perak Port. Evaluation of the impact of SSE on emission reduction is carried out by calculating electricity and fuel consumption. Based on fuel consumption, the amount of pollutants produced is known. A Descriptive quantitative method is used in this research. Based on the calculation, the electricity demand at 220 Volt voltage is 95,028 watts, and at 380 watts is 276,210 Watts. There are 3 generators on board with different output power. There are: auxiliary engine 1-2, harbour generator, and emergency generator. Each generator has different efficiency and fuel consumption. The Comparison of SSE reduction impact is largest in aux eng 1-2 worth 206,855.13 kg pollutant/ton of fuel. Fuel cost savings of up to 92.57% every year. SSE utilization is a solution for reducing exhaust emissions in the port area. Power generation using renewable energy sources is a recommendation for supporting SSE operations.

Abstract

This study aims to find strategies to improve the simpadu aplication for vessel operational that are suitable for implementation at Port Authority Class II Benoa. The type of research is qualitative, so the sources and data collection used consist of narratives from observations, documents, and interviews conducted by the researcher with the informants. As for the data analysis, it employs qualitative descriptive analysis, which aims to draw conclusions from data gathered from observations, interviews, and documentation, followed by data standardization and extracting relevant information for the research

Abstract

This research aims to design an efficient and effective online seafarer's book publishing service system, besides that this research is also carried out to find out the enthusiasm of service users for the development of online seafarer's book publishing service services . The method used in designing the development of this system is design thingking. This method is used to find a solution to a problem by means of a collaborative process with potential users so that the resulting product can be in accordance with the needs and desires of the user. The results of the study show that a website-based user interface design is designed using figma and has been adapted to the needs of the user. The design was then tested using the Net Promoter Score (NPS) through a questionnaire accompanied by design drawings, which were assessed directly by the service users

Abstract

The turbocharger is a critical component in a ship's main engine system, enhancing combustion efficiency and engine performance by accelerating airflow into the cylinder combustion chamber. One of its key components is the turbine blade, which converts exhaust gas energy into mechanical energy to drive the compressor.This study aims to analyze damage to the turbine blade caused by exhaust valve rupture, where broken valve fragments enter the turbine side, negatively affecting turbocharger performance. The research employs a descriptive analysis method using fishbone analysis, with data collected from observations, logbooks, journals, manuals, documentation, and interviews.The findings indicate that the primary cause of turbine blade damage is foreign object ingestion (FOI), specifically fragments from a fractured exhaust valve in the main engine’s cylinder head. This fracture led to blade failure, significantly reducing the turbocharger’s efficiency. To maintain optimal main engine performance, strict adherence to the onboard manual book is strongly recommended.

Abstract

Auxiliary engine merupakan permesinan yang berperan menghasilkan energi listrik dari energi mekanik di atas kapal. Untuk beroperasi dengan optimal dan terhindar dari overheating, auxiliary engine didukung sirkulasi sistem pendingin yang prima. Salah satu komponen mesin pendingin adalah thermostat. thermostat berfungsi untuk mengontrol aliran air coolant menuju antara ke mesin kembali atau bagian heat exchanger. Kerusakan pada thermostat akan menimbulkan dampak besar bagi kinerja auxiliary engine.Penelitian ini membahas penyebab kerusaka, dampak serta langkah penanganan pada thermostat auxiliary engine nomor 3 di kapal MV Meratus Payakumbuh. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan fishbone analysis. Proses pengambilan data dilakukan dengan observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kerusakan thermostat auxiliary engine disebabkan oleh faktor usia komponen thermostat dan berdampak pada tingginya suhu temperatur pada sistem pendingin air tawar mencapai 90°C. Penanganan kerusakan thermostat dilakukan dengan cara menukar sementara bagian thermostat yang ada pada auxiliary engine nomor 2 yang bertipe sama. Agar suhu temperatur pada sistem pendingin air tawar menjadi normal. Oleh karena itu, kebutuhan listrik di kapal tetap terjaga dan beroperasi dengan baik sampai ada perbaikan total. Langkah selanjutnya adalah perbaikan secara menyeluruh setelah persedian suku cadang tersedia.

Abstract

Mesin induk adalah penggerak utama dalam operasional kapal laut. Sistem pendingin merupakan salah satu sistem dalam mendukung kinerja mesin induk. Pentingnya peran sistem pendingin maka penelitian ini membahas tentang faktor penyebab kebocoran pada pipa air laut, menentukan dampak yang terjadi, serta rekomendasi penanganan yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi kebocoran. Pada karya tulis ilmiah ini Peneliti menggunakan metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) dalam mempermudah analisis data. Metode pengumpulan data yang Peneliti lakukan adalah dengan cara observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor yang menyebabkan kebocoran pada pipa LO Cooler ialah korosi karena air laut yang bersifat korosif. Dampak yang terjadi ialah menyebabkan kinerja pompa menjadi terganggu. Berdasarkan analisis FMEA didapatkan nilai teringgi untuk severity  adalah pompa sea water dengan point 4 , sedangkan occurance adalah pipa kapiler (tube) dengan nilai 4, dan detection adalah pompa sea water dengan nilai 5. Nilai risk priority number (RPN) paling tinggi adalah pompa sea water dengan hasil nilai 40. Oleh karena itu. Rekomendasi penanganan kebocoran pipa air laut adalah melakukan perawatan rutin dan ketersediaan suku cadang di atas kapal..
