Abstract

Sea transportation accounts for 3% of the global greenhouse gas effect. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is committed to reducing the impact of greenhouse gases by 50% in 2050—Indonesia is a maritime country with 10.8% of the world's ship register. High traffic has an impact on increased gas emissions. The IMO has made a policy on the Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan. IMO recommends using Shore Side Electricity to reduce exhaust emissions, namely the use of electricity sources from land will reduce the operation of the ship's generator when berthing.This SSE case study uses the State Ship (KN) Masalembo at the Tanjung Perak Port. Evaluation of the impact of SSE on emission reduction is carried out by calculating electricity and fuel consumption. Based on fuel consumption, the amount of pollutants produced is known. A Descriptive quantitative method is used in this research. Based on the calculation, the electricity demand at 220 Volt voltage is 95,028 watts, and at 380 watts is 276,210 Watts. There are 3 generators on board with different output power. There are: auxiliary engine 1-2, harbour generator, and emergency generator. Each generator has different efficiency and fuel consumption. The Comparison of SSE reduction impact is largest in aux eng 1-2 worth 206,855.13 kg pollutant/ton of fuel. Fuel cost savings of up to 92.57% every year. SSE utilization is a solution for reducing exhaust emissions in the port area. Power generation using renewable energy sources is a recommendation for supporting SSE operations.

Abstract

Ships contribute to CO2 gas emissions. The government's effort to reduce these emissions is by having Onshore Power Supply (OPS) facilities. OPS is a technology that allows ships at anchor to turn off their engines and connect to the local electricity network for electricity supply. Port of Berlian currently has 8 OPS spot managed by PT. Lamong Energi Indonesia. The use of OPS still needs to be examined using valid methods. In this research, researchers use the assessment methodology that has been used at the port of Lisbon regarding this onshore electricity facility type of port where the ship is docked (mooring vessel). In this methodology, the assessment process carried out includes data gathering and data processing processes. Apart from this process, it is necessary to review the character of the port or terminal that we will examine ships that most often use land-based electricity facilities are ships with a size of 1000-2999 GT. The use of land electricity facilities provides cost efficiency of 78%. This land electricity facility is used by General Cargo and Container type ships. These results indicate that the use of land electricity facilities is still inefficient ( 2.7%) and there is a need for further review of the implementation of existing policies.

Abstract

This research focuses on designing an electrical system for unmanned surface vehicles (USV) to ensure optimal performance during survey operations. This USV ship is a catamaran-type ship with a Sonar Deeper depth sensor to know the depth of the water and is equipped with long range (LoRa) as a data transmitter. The USV electrical system design incorporates the use of a 4050 mAh 11.1 V LiPo battery and an iMAX B6AC charger, with evaluations covering battery charging, power consumption, and voltage stability. The trials showed that the battery supported the operation of the USV for approximately 47.8 minutes at a power load of 45.08 Watts. Battery charging showed two main phases: constant current and constant voltage, with a full charge time of approximately 2.7 hours. During operation, voltage consumption showed significant fluctuations, highlighting the need for an electrical system design that maintains voltage stability to improve performance. From the test results, the battery efficiency was found to be 91.29%. These findings emphasize the importance of appropriate component selection and efficient power management to achieve reliable and efficient USV operation. With a deep understanding of the charging characteristics and power consumption, the designed electrical system can ensure more stable USV operation and better performance under various survey conditions.

Abstract

Ships as the main mode of transportation that has a strategic role in trade transportation, the trade supply chain really needs proper operations. The operational of the ship is greatly influenced by the performance of the main engine. One of the critical components of the main engine is the exhaust valve which functions to regulate the release of exhaust gas from the combustion chamber to the exhaust manifold. The research is qualitative, collecting data through observation, documentation, and interviews. The event tree analysis (ETA) method is implemented the sequence of impacts produced by exhaust valve, such as high working temperatures, low engine performance, and standard functions described in the manual book so that leaks can be identified. So, From this analysis, the impacts that are traced sequentially to the performance of the exhaust valve itself can also be found. In addition, a fishbone diagram is used to describe the factors that cause leaks, including human error, managerial deficiencies, neglected inspections, and errors in maintenance techniques. Thus, the right handling can be found to overcome exhaust valve leaks, such as repairs required while the engine is stopped, repeated spare part submissions from ship management, conducting spindle thickness inspections, and improving maintenance techniques as specified in the engine manual book. Proper and effective preventive and handling actions based on the root causes outlined are essential to ensure proper operation of the machine.

Abstract

Terminal Petikemas Nilam merupakan salah satu terminal logistik strategis yang berada di Surabaya, Jawa Timur, dan dikelola oleh Subholding PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas (SPTP). Sebagai area operasional dengan risiko kecelakaan kerja yang tinggi, Terminal Petikemas Nilam menerapkan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) sebagai bagian dari fungsi HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment). Namun, berdasarkan data tahun 2024, terdapat 24 kejadian kecelakaan kerja, menunjukkan bahwa implementasi K3 masih perlu ditingkatkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor internal dan eksternal serta merumuskan strategi implementasi K3 yang lebih efektif menggunakan analisis SWOT, IFAS, dan EFAS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Terminal Petikemas Nilam memiliki beberapa kekuatan seperti fasilitas APD lengkap, sistem digitalisasi, dan pelaksanaan safety induction. Di sisi lain, kelemahan utama termasuk kemacetan di akses gate, kurangnya personel keamanan, dan rendahnya kesadaran Tenaga Kerja Bongkar Muat (TKBM) terhadap budaya K3. Berdasarkan analisis SWOT, strategi yang direkomendasikan meliputi pemanfaatan teknologi kartu akses dan portal otomatis, peningkatan pelatihan K3, serta penambahan jumlah security. Matriks IE menempatkan Terminal Petikemas Nilam pada posisi “Hold and Maintain”, sehingga strategi yang sesuai adalah fokus pada efisiensi operasional, perbaikan kelemahan, serta optimalisasi peluang.

Abstract

Injector adalah bagian dari sistem bahan bakar suatu mesin yang digunakan, khususnya pada mesin pembakaran dalam, untuk menyemprotkan bensin ke dalam ruang bakar. Untuk menjamin kelancaran pengoperasian dan mencegah hambatan jalan serta penundaan kapal, maka harus dilakukan perawatan rutin pada injector untuk mendukung operasional pelayaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan fishbone untuk mengumpulkan data melalui dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa faktor yang menyebabkan gas buang tinggi adalah injector pada mesin induk type 6UEC52LA di kapal MT Ginga Bobcat, masinis tidak mengikuti Manual Book pada saat melakukan perawatan dan perbaikan pada main engine, nozzle yang tersumbat dan adanya tetesan bahan bakar pada injector, tidak adanya maintenance checklist, kualitas bahan bakar juga sangat mempengaruhi kinerja injector. Tindakan yang perlu dilakukan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut ialah masinis harus membaca dan memahami sebelum melakukan perawatan dan perbaikan rutin pada komponen injector dan sistem bahan bakar juga harus melakukan pemeliharaan dan perbaikan rutin, masinis 1 harus sering memeriksa dan mengganti filter bahan bakar untuk menjaga kinerja mesin dan mencegah penyumbatan, serta harus menggunakan bahan tambahan pembersih bahan bakar untuk membantu membersihkan sistem bahan bakar dan memilih bahan bakar berkualitas tinggi untuk mesin utama. Injector is a part of an engine's fuel system that is used, particularly in internal combustion engines, to spray gasoline into the combustion chamber. To ensure smooth operation and prevent road obstacles and ship delays, routine maintenance must be carried out on the injectors to support shipping operations. This study uses the fishbone approach to collect data through documentation, interviews, and observations. The results of the study found that the factors that cause high exhaust gases are the injectors in the type 6UEC52LA main engine on the MT Ginga Bobcat ship, the driver did not follow the Manual Book when carrying out maintenance and repairs on the main engine, clogged nozzles and the presence of fuel droplets in the injector, the absence of a maintenance checklist, fuel quality also greatly affects the performance of the injector. The actions that need to be taken to solve these problems are that the driver must read and understand before carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on the injector components and fuel system must also carry out routine maintenance and repairs, the 1st driver must frequently check and replace the fuel filter to maintain engine performance and prevent blockages, and must use fuel cleaning additives to help clean the fuel system and choosing high-quality fuel for the main engine

Abstract

Industri pelayaran berperan penting dalam perdagangan internasional dengan menyumbang lebih dari 80% aktivitas distribusi global. Perkembangan teknologi digital, khususnya implementasi sistem Indonesia National Single Window (INSW), diharapkan mampu meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan kinerja jasa keagenan kapal, terutama dalam proses clearance in dan out kapal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh implementasi teknologi digital INSW terhadap kinerja perusahaan keagenan kapal di Terminal Jamrud Pelabuhan Tanjung Perak Surabaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dan verifikatif. Data yang diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada staff keagenan kapal sebagai pengguna sistem INSW, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik untuk mengukur tingkat pengaruh Implementasi INSW yang signifikan berdampak positif terhadap efisiensi waktu, akurasi dokumen, dan koordinasi antar instansi, meskipun masih terdapat hambatan seperti kendala teknis dan kurangnya pelatihan SDM. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknologi digital INSW berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan kinerja jasa keagenan kapal, dan rekomendasi strategis diperlukan untuk mengoptimalkan sistem tersebut demi mendukung kelancaran operasional Pelabuhan dan peningkatan daya saing logistik nasional.

Abstract

Risk Management in the Supervisory Function activities at the Harbormaster and Port Authority Office Class I Tanjung Emas Semarang is carried out to find and measure the risks that occur, this study also aims to develop control methods that aim to improve supervisory performance. The method used in data collection is a mixed method with a quantitative approach through questionnaires and risk matrices and qualitative through interviews and observations. In the data analysis of this study, brainstorming analysis was used to identify risks, risk matrix analysis was used to measure the level of risk, and interviews with the KSOP were used for risk control strategies. The results of the study showed that most of the risks were in the moderate to high category, especially in terms of compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and readiness of human resources (HR). By implementing structured risk management, KSOP Class I Tanjung Emas is expected to increase the effectiveness and suitability of the implementation of supervisory functions and create a safe, orderly and good port work environment.

Abstract

This study aims to find strategies to improve the simpadu aplication for vessel operational that are suitable for implementation at Port Authority Class II Benoa. The type of research is qualitative, so the sources and data collection used consist of narratives from observations, documents, and interviews conducted by the researcher with the informants. As for the data analysis, it employs qualitative descriptive analysis, which aims to draw conclusions from data gathered from observations, interviews, and documentation, followed by data standardization and extracting relevant information for the research

Abstract

This research aims to design an efficient and effective online seafarer's book publishing service system, besides that this research is also carried out to find out the enthusiasm of service users for the development of online seafarer's book publishing service services . The method used in designing the development of this system is design thingking. This method is used to find a solution to a problem by means of a collaborative process with potential users so that the resulting product can be in accordance with the needs and desires of the user. The results of the study show that a website-based user interface design is designed using figma and has been adapted to the needs of the user. The design was then tested using the Net Promoter Score (NPS) through a questionnaire accompanied by design drawings, which were assessed directly by the service users
