Abstract

Adolescence is a phase of self-discovery, where high curiosity often drives them to try new things, including behavior that threatens reproductive health. Lack of information and strong environmental influences can increase the likelihood of adolescents engaging in risky behavior, such as premarital sex, which has the potential to cause Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), Unintended Pregnancy (KTD), and HIV/AIDS. Therefore, an effective and interesting educational strategy is needed, one of which is through animated videos, which can be an effective educational strategy to present information interactively, help adolescents understand their limitations, and make wiser decisions.  The research design was a pretest-posttest one group design with a sample of 87 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used animated videos and questionnaire sheets. The results obtained before being given health education, the average knowledge of reproductive health was 9.21, while knowledge after being given health education was 15.85. Based on the Wilcoxon Rank statistical test, p-value 0.000 or less than <0.05, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This shows that there is a difference in knowledge before and after being given health education about reproductive health with animated video media at SMK Negeri H. Moenadi Ungaran. Abstract

The postpartum period is a critical phase marked by significant physical and psychological changes, particularly for primiparous mothers who are experiencing childbirth for the first time. One of the common challenges encountered during this period is a decrease in sexual self-efficacy, defined as the individual's confidence in engaging in a healthy and satisfying sexual life. This study aimed to examine the effect of Kegel exercise education on improving sexual self-efficacy among primiparous women. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group approach was employed. The intervention consisted of structured Kegel education delivered through sequential stages: situational analysis, problem identification, planning, and implementation. The study sample consisted of 34 primiparous mothers from the Lerep Public Health Center working area, divided equally into intervention and control groups using purposive sampling. Respondents in the intervention group were those who received Kegel exercise education, while the control group consisted of those who did not receive any intervention. Univariate analysis was conducted using central tendency, while bivariate analysis was performed using the Man Whitney, which showed a p-value of 0.01 < α (0.05). The results demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in the sexual self-efficacy of the intervention group compared to the control group. It can be concluded that Kegel exercise education is an effective and empowering strategy to support the recovery of sexual function and improve the quality of life in primiparous women during the postpartum period.

Abstract

SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga is a vocational high school located in Dukuh Sidomukti, Salatiga, Central Java. A preliminary survey conducted among students revealed that they had never received information related to reproductive health, particularly regarding potential risks and strategies to maintain reproductive organ health. Adolescents are a vulnerable group with respect to reproductive health issues due to limited knowledge, environmental influences, and high curiosity. Insufficient accurate information may lead to risky sexual behavior, unintended pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and psychosocial problems. Evaluation of the activity was carried out using a pre-test and post-test method to measure the improvement of adolescents’ knowledge regarding reproductive health. In addition, observations were conducted to assess participants’ activeness during the educational sessions, and a satisfaction questionnaire was administered to evaluate the effectiveness of the activity and participants’ responses toward the SMART GenRe program. This community service activity aimed to improve adolescents’ knowledge, awareness, and skills in maintaining reproductive health through interactive education and participatory approaches. The program was implemented through health education sessions, group discussions, and case simulations. A total of 59 female students participated in the activity. Prior to the intervention, evaluation results showed that most respondents were in the “poor understanding” category (37.42%), followed by “fair” (26.59%), “good” (28.13%), and “very good” (7.86%). After the intervention, a significant improvement was observed, with the majority of participants categorized as “very good” (35.09%) and “good” (57.07%), while the “fair” category decreased to 6.29% and “poor” to only 1.66%. Based on questionnaire results, it was evident that the educational program improved participants’ understanding of the importance of maintaining reproductive organs, recognizing the risks of sexual behavior, and making healthy and responsible decisions. The overall effectiveness of the intervention was 96.23%. This activity is expected to serve as a sustainable intervention model for preventing adolescent reproductive health problems.   ABSTRAK SMK Negri 2 Salatiga merupakan salah satu Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan yang terletak di Dukuh Sidomukti Salatiga Jawa Tengah. Abstract

This study aims to analyze Maternal Fetal Attachment (MFA) within the context of pregnancy adaptation by examining the influence of internal and external maternal factors through a qualitative descriptive literature approach. The research employs a library study method using secondary data sources, including peer reviewed journal articles and relevant academic documents, collected through systematic literature search and analyzed using thematic analysis, data reduction, categorization, and inductive interpretation. The findings reveal that MFA is a multidimensional construct influenced by internal factors such as maternal mental health, particularly depression and anxiety, as well as positive psychological states, and external factors including social and family support. Pregnancy adaptation emerges as a key mediating process that connects these factors to the quality of maternal fetal bonding. The study also highlights that strong MFA contributes to positive infant developmental outcomes, especially in emotional regulation and adaptive behavior. These findings imply that maternal well being and supportive social environments are essential components in strengthening prenatal attachment. In conclusion, this study contributes to the theoretical understanding of MFA as a biopsychosocial process and provides practical insights for integrating mental health screening and family centered interventions in antenatal care to improve maternal and child health outcomes.

Abstract

Anemia prevention is crucial because this condition of hemoglobin deficiency has serious impacts on health and productivity, such as chronic fatigue, decreased concentration and academic achievement, and weakened immune systems. In adolescent girls and pregnant women, anemia increases the risk of childbirth complications, premature births, low birth weight (LBW), and stunting. Anemia in adolescent girls remains a serious public health problem in Indonesia. Preventive efforts through health education are crucial, particularly with engaging media approaches such as animated videos. The aim is to determine the effectiveness of anemia risk prevention education (Si PERI EMA) on adolescent girls' knowledge of anemia risk prevention. This study used a quasi-experimental pretest–posttest with a control group design. The sample consisted of 30 respondents, divided into 15 respondents in the intervention group, who received a 10-minute animated video about Anemia Risk Prevention in Adolescent Girls, and 15 respondents in the control group. Data were analyzed descriptively (mean and SD), using paired sample t-tests to compare pretest and posttest results within each group, and independent sample t-tests to compare posttest results between groups. The average knowledge score increased significantly in the intervention group from 10.164 to 12.401, while in the control group the increase was insignificant from 9.283 to 9.342, with a p-value of 0.001 < α (0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that education on anemia risk prevention using animated audiovisual media is effective in increasing knowledge among female students at An Nur Ungaran Middle School. Regular education about anemia using animated video media can be widely used in schools as part of adolescent health education programs.
