Abstract

The aims of this study were to produce android base learning media inelements periodic system subject material and to evaluate its eligibility,pratical, and effectiveness to grow student science litaracy. In form ofResearch and Development, this study was carried out by ADDIE Model(Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and evaluation). Data wascollected by respons questionnaire, validaty questionnaire and scienceliteracy test. Data was analyzed by eligiblepercentage, eligiblecategorization, and N-gain test. Study result showed that content validity andmedia design validity was very eleigible with 81.11% and 83.97% ofeligibility respectively. Practicioner and student respon was very eligible with80.95 % and 89.02 % of eligibility respectively. Effectivity trial obtained 0.62of N-gain with moderate category. It can be concluded that android baselearning media was very eligible to applied for students science literacygrowth on elements periodic system learning effectively.

Abstract

Acid-base is one of topics considered difficult by students. This concept is broad,  varied. Despite it is very closely related to everyday life, its application was still lacking. The development of teaching materials in the form of a module was deemed to be a solution to this problem. The aim of this research was to develop CTL module with green chemistry orientation in acid-base subject material to improve science literacy of students. This study was developed ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The developed product was validated by three experts, a practitioner and ten high school students. Data were analyzed using percentage formula. Qualitative data in the form of comments and suggestions from validator were used as consideration to revise the developed module.Tthe effectivity of the module was assessed using N-gain test. Based on validation results, we obtained average of 86,5%, 97%, 88%, and 94,58%. Effectivity evaluation using N-gain test shows an average score of 0,5 with moderate category. Result of student attitudes towards science data has an average score of 74% with good qualifications. It was concluded that developed module prototype is effective for acid-base topic, and most likely for other topics in learning process and growing student science literacy.

Abstract

This development aims to determine the characteristics and feasibility of the oNature of Science (NOS) oriented module On the Chemical Bonds andMolecular Forms subject material through the 4D stage (Define, design,develop and disseminate). This research and development is carried out up tothe stage of development (development) with adjustments based ondevelopment needs. The module prototype was validated by 2 expertvalidator, 1 practitioner validator and 10 students as limited test respondents.Quantitative data were analyzed by percentage formulas and category.Qualitative data in the form of responses and suggestions are used asconsiderations for revisions. The results of expert validation showed anaverage percentage of 92.67% with very good categories of material experts,83.34% with very good categories from product design experts and 76% withgood categories from teacher practitioners. The average response of studentsto the modul prototype is 85.1% with a very good category. This shows thatthe module that developed is feasible to proceed to a large-scale trial phase.

Abstract

Citrus nobilis L. peel was used as a source of essential oil production through water-stem distillation method. The aim of this research was to compare yield and quality of essential oil from Citrus nobilis L. peel obtained from ratio of 0,2; 0,4 and 0,6 of raw material mass and solvent volume during water-stem distillation. In each run, 1000 mL of water was applied as solvent, and the distillation was performed for 6 hours.. Results show that the best yield and quality of the produced essential oil was obtained on 400 gram/1000 mL ratio. This ratio produced essential oil in a yield of 2.18 %, 0.8484 gram/ mL density, yellowish oil with orange typical aroma, and viscous. GC-MS analysis results of the oil show the composition of Limonene 56,96%, α-Pinene 3,86%, β-Phellandrene 1,02%, β-Pinene 2,40%, β-Myrcene 2,76%, Linalool 7,69%, 3-Cyclohexene-1-methanol 2,04%, Nerol 1,44% and Benzenedicarboxylic acid 14,50%.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to evaluate correlation between students science process skill and learning achievement. In form of correlation research, this research was conducted at Chemestry Laboratory of IKIP Mataram in time of 2015-2018. Subject of this researh consists of 138 students who got basic II chemistry practice. Instrument of this research was guestionnaire and test. With 98,22% of validity, the instrument was highly eligible to used in data collecting. The data analyzed by product moment. The data analysis showed that rtest (0,1743) higher than rtable (0,1676). The research showed that there is significant correlation betwen science process skills and students learning achievement.

Abstract

Artikel ini akan mendeskripsikan tentang kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat desa Gunungsari melalui pengelolaan sampah plastik dan logam. Kegiatan ini merupakan progran KKN-PPM yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus-Oktober 2017. Rangkaian kegiatan yang dilaksanakan yakni sosialisasi pemilahan sampah, pembentukan bank sampah, pelatihan pembuatan produk kerajinan berbahan baku sampah plastik dan logam, dan pemasaran produk. Sasaran utama kegiatan ini adalah ibu-ibu rumah tangga dan PKK, remaja putri dan karang taruna desa gunungsari. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan melibatkan 30 orang mahasiswa KKN. Luaran dari kegiatan ini adalah terbentuknya kesadaran masyarakat desa gunungsari tentang manfat ekonomis sampah plastik dan logam, terbentuknya wadah ekonomi kreatif yakni Bank Sampah Al-Furqon Desa Gunungsari, terbentuknya kelompok pengumpul sampah dan pengerajin, pemasaran produk dilaksankan melalui penjualan langsung, pameran-pameran yang bekerjasama dengan Humas IKIP Mataram, dan melalui media sosial.

Abstract

Tujuan pelaksanaan program pengabdian ini adalah a) Meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang seluk beluk penulisan karya ilmiah bagi guru-guru SMPN 1 Gunungsari, b) Meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karya ilmiah bagi guru-guru SMPN 1 Gunungsari. Kegiatan ini direncanakan selama tiga bulan dengan sasaran penyuluhan dan pemberian pelatihan keterampilan ini adalah guru-guru di SMPN 1 Gunungsari. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan yang akan dilakukan yaitu: 1) Ceramah; 2) Diskusi; dan 3) Praktek Menulis. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan program telah tercapai dengan baik sesuai dengan harapan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari antusiasnya para guru dalam mengikuti seluruh kegiatan pelatihan, baik dalam pemberian materi maupun praktek langsung dalam penulisan karya ilmiah. Selain itu, para guru juga memperlihatkan antusiasnya ketika melakukan diskusi. Para peserta pelatihan merasakan manfaat program ini dari sisi pengetahuan maupun teknis sehingga para peserta dapat menyiapkan tulisan mereka menjadi artikel yang siap dipublikasikan di jurnal yang dituju. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa optimalisasi peningkatan profesionalisme guru-guru melalui pelatihan penulisan karya ilmiah berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan harapan.Optimization of Teacher Professionalism Enhancement through Training on Writing Scientific PapersAbstractThe objectives of the implementation of this service program are a) Increase knowledge about the ins and outs of writing scientific papers for SMPN 1 Gunungsari teachers, b) Improve the ability to write scientific papers for SMPN 1 Gunungsari teachers. This activity is planned for three months with the target of counseling and providing training for these skills for teachers at SMPN 1 Gunungsari. The methods of implementing the activities to be carried out are: 1) Lecture; 2) Discussion; and 3) Writing Practice. Based on the results of the implementation of community service activities, it shows that the success of the program has been achieved properly as expected. This can be seen from the enthusiasm of the teachers in participating in all training activities, both in providing material and direct practice in writing scientific papers. Besides that, the teachers also showed their enthusiasm when holding discussions. The training participants felt the benefits of this program from both a knowledge and technical perspective so that the participants could prepare their writing into articles that were ready to be published in the intended journal. Thus, it can be concluded that the optimization of the increase in professionalism of teachers through training in writing scientific papers is going well as expected.

Abstract

Target khusus yang ingin dicapai melalui kegiatan Program KKN-PPM  ini adalah: (a) meminimalisir limbah plastik yang sulit terurai khususnya di Gunungsari Kabupaten Lombok Barat, (b) meningkatkan efisiensi biaya pengelolaan sampah, (c) melakukan perbaikan pada sistem teknologi pengolahan sampah melalui pengolahan sampah plastik menggunakan Portable Garbage Reducer-Energy Producers (Po GREP), (d) meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat agar lebih bersemangat dalam melakukan pengolahan sampah plastik menggunakan Portable Garbage Reducer-Energy Producers (Po GREP), (e) membangun kemitraan dan kerjasama yang efektif antara Perguruan Tinggi, Pemerintah Daerah dan masyarakat di Gunungsari Kabupaten Lombok Barat. Kegiatan KKN-PPM ini dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan pada semester genap tahun akademik 2019/2020. Adapun metode kegiatan KKN-PPM ini adalah metode workshop dalam bentuk pelatihan dan pendampingan. Berdasarkan hasil pelatihan yang telah dilakukan didapatkan tingkat pemahaman dan keterampilan masyarakat di Desa Gunungsari terkait pengolahan sampah plastik menjadi BBM masih kurang sehingga perlu adanya pendampingan dalam pengolahan sampah plastik menjadi BBM melalui PoGREP.Community Empowerment through Training on Plastic Waste Management Using Portable Garbage Reducer-Energy Producers (Po Grep) in Gunungsari, West Lombok RegencyAbstractSpecific targets to be achieved through the KKN-PPM Program activities are: (a) minimizing plastic waste that is difficult to decompose, especially in Gunungsari, West Lombok Regency, (b) increasing the efficiency of waste management costs, (c) making improvements to the waste processing technology system through processing plastic waste using Portable Garbage Reducer-Energy Producers (Po GREP), (d) increasing community participation to be more enthusiastic in processing plastic waste using Portable Garbage Reducer-Energy Producers (Po GREP), (e) building effective partnerships and cooperation between Universities, Local Government and the community in Gunungsari, West Lombok Regency. This KKN-PPM activity was carried out for 3 months in the even semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. The KKN-PPM activity method is a workshop method in the form of training and mentoring. Based on the results of the training that has been carried out, it is found that the level of understanding and skills of the people in Gunungsari Village regarding processing plastic waste into fuel is still lacking so there is a need for assistance in processing plastic waste into BBM through PoGREP.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Problem Posing dengan Context-Rich Problem terhadap kemampuan berpikir divergen dan kemampuan berpikir konvergen siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasy eksperimental) dengan rancangan penelitian posttest-only control group design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 85 siswa kelas X SMAN 7 Mataram yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang terbagi dalam 3 kelompok. Kelompok eksperimen I terdiri dari 26 siswa dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Problem Posing dengan Context-Rich Problem, kelompok eksperimen II terdiri dari 29 siswa dibelajarkan dengan model Problem Posing, sedangkan kelompok kontrol terdiri dari 30 siswa dibelajarkan dengan model konvensional dengan Context-Rich Problem. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran dan tes kemampuan berpikir divergen dan konvergen. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji varian dua jalur (two way ANOVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Posing dengan Context-Rich Problem berpengaruh (Fhitung= 4,128 > Ftabel= 3,26) terhadap kemampuan berpikir divergen siswa; (2) skor rata-rata kelompok eksperimen I (mean= 55,38) lebih tinggi dari pada kelompok eksperimen II (mean= 40,91) dan kelompok kontrol (mean= 42,23); (3) penggunaan model pembelajaran Problem Posing dengan Context-Rich Problem tidak berpengaruh (Fhitung= 0,449 < Ftabel= 3,26) terhadap kemampuan berpikir konvergen siswa; (4) skor rata-rata kelompok eksperimen I (mean= 34,5) lebih tinggi dari pada kelompok eksperimen II (mean= 33,25) dan kelompok kontrol (mean= 24,99). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Posing dengan Context-Rich Problem berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir divergen, namun tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir konvergen siswa. The Effect of Problem Posing Model with Context-Rich Problem toward Students’ Divergent and Convergent Thinking Ability Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Posing learning model with Context-Rich Problems on students' divergent thinking and convergent thinking abilities. This research is a quasi-experimental research with a posttest-only control group design. The sample of this study was 85 students of class X SMAN 7 Mataram who were selected using a purposive sampling technique which was divided into 3 groups. The experimental group I consisted of 26 students taught with the Problem Posing learning model with Context-Rich Problems, the experimental group II consisted of 29 students taught with the Problem Posing model, while the control group consisted of 30 students taught using the conventional model with the Context-Rich Problem. Data were collected using observation sheets on the implementation of learning and divergent and convergent thinking skills tests. The data analysis technique used a two-way ANOVA test. The results showed that (1) the use of the Problem Posing learning model with Context-Rich Problem had an effect (Fcount = 4.128 > Ftable = 3.26) on students' divergent thinking abilities; (2) the average score of the experimental group I (mean= 55.38) was higher than that of the experimental group II (mean= 40.91) and the control group (mean= 42.23); (3) the use of Problem Posing learning model with Context-Rich Problem has no effect (Fcount = 0.449 < Ftable = 3.26) on students' convergent thinking ability; (4) the average score of the experimental group I (mean= 34.5) was higher than the experimental group II (mean= 33.25) and the control group (mean= 24.99). This study concludes that the Problem Posing learning model with Context-Rich Problems has an effect on divergent thinking skills, but has no significant effect on students' convergent thinking abilities.

Abstract

Peneltian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi hubungan antara kesadaran metakognisi dan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran kimia selama masa pandemic Covid-19 pada Tahun Pelajaran 2021-2022. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan ex-post facto dengan kerangka penelitian korelasional. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Bolo dengan melibatkan 66 orang peserta didik kelas X sebagai subjek penelitian yang diambil secara jenuh. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan analisis korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kesadaran metakognisi peserta didik sebesar 71. Hasil belajar peserta didik kelas pada semester ganjil dan genap berturut-turut 70 dan 63. Akan tetapi tidak ada korelasi antara kesadaran metakognisi dan hasil belajar kognitif peserta didik. Korelasi metakognisi terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik baik pada semester ganjil maupun genap, dengan nilai product moment berturut-turut -0,025 dan -0,094, lebih rendah daripada r kritis sebesar 0,239 pada DK 64 dan nilai signifikansi (p) 5 %. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Kimia di SMAN 1 Bolo selama masa pandemic covid-19 tidak seiring dengan pengembangan kesadaran metakognisi peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran. Correlation between Students Metacognitive Awareness and Cognitive Learning Outcomes on Chemistry Learning While Covid-19 Pandemic Abstract This study aims to evaluate the relationship between metacognitive awareness and student learning outcomes in chemistry learning during the Covid-19 pandemic in the 2021-2022 Academic Year. This research was carried out using an ex-post facto approach with a correlational research framework. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 Bolo involving 66 students of class X as research subjects who were taken saturated. Data were analyzed descriptively and product moment correlation analysis. The results showed that the average metacognitive awareness of students was 71. The average of students’ cognitive learning outcomes in odd and even semester was 70 and 63 respectively. However, there is no correlation between metacognitive awareness and students' cognitive learning outcomes. The correlation between metacognitive awareness and students' cognitive learning outcomes both in odd and even semester, with r product moment value -0.025 and -0.094 respectively, was lower than r critical 0,239 with df 64 and significance value (p) 5%. This shows that learning Chemistry at SMAN 1 Bolo during the COVID-19 pandemic is not in line with the development of students' metacognitive awareness of learning.
