Abstract

John Paul II is well-known as an enduring voice of peace for the world. What is the meaning of peace according to John Paul II? The focus of this research is to find the thought of John Paul II on peace. It employs a reflective method for analyzing the massages of John Paul II for the celebration of the world day of peace from 2002 to 2005. He expressed that the pillars of peace are justice, freedom, forgiveness, love, solidarity and common good. Peace should be born in the heart of each person. Peace shall grow in a coexistence of life of mutual respect. Respect on human rights and dignity is a fundamental moral law for developing peace in the world. Responsibility to develop a peaceful world in the context of continuous conflicts and wars in our world belongs to each person and all institutions. Each person as well as community are called to work for common good that is a social face of peace.

Abstract

Eric Weil (1904-1977) is a French Philosopher, emigrated from Germany. In the beginning of World War II, he enlisted in French army to fight the Nazi invasion. The experience of holocaust has urged him to offer a concrete contribution for the sake of humankind. He was deeply concerned with social problems, yet his main interest was philosophy. He understood philosophy as a virtue of rational dialogue to avoid violence and barbarism. Violence prevented human person to be wise. The task of philosopher is to support dialogue between the existing discourses, and to develop rational culture marked by freedom and responsibility in creating a more peaceful world. For Weil, a philosophical reflection is essentially related to politics as well as to the whole of human life. Philosophy is a moral movement or dynamic choices for transforming the world from the state of instinctive characters to the rational state of peaceful life.

Abstract

Is there any common points between the prophetic movement and rationality? There are three common things. First, prophetic movement and rationality reflect on life context. Secondly, they are transformative movements. Third, they lead to the developing of civilization that upholds the values of truth, justice and peace in the midst of the challenges of disintegration of nation and destruction of nature. In other words, they are an ethical movement. In the context of globalization characterized by life orientation on quantitative things, main role of prophecy and rationality is to restore the lives toward a wider horizon. They become relevant in our age when they actualize their role in solving humanitarian issues and promoting human civilization. For that prophetic movement requires a strong rational basis for networking and synergistic cooperation in developing a civilization of more qualified.

Abstract

Education is one of the forms of the Indonesian Church's apostolate. In the context of Indonesia that fought for its independence, Y.B. Mangunwijaya affirmed the importance of theology of independence as an anthropological foundation of developing a liberating education. By using analytical descriptive method, this research focuses on finding the main ideas of YB. Mangunwijaya about theology of independence as a foundation of education and learning process at school. There are three important things found in this research. First, theology of independence is the right formula that unites Christian values and the struggle for national life. It bases on the movement of Jesus Christ that is inclusive and universal for the sake of a more human life. Second, theology of independence becomes the foundation to develop a child-centered learning to develop or liberate themselves exploratively, creatively and integrally. Third, in order to develop liberating education, teachers who love children and dare to explore with the children for optimal child development are needed. Y.B. Mangunwijaya's thoughts provide a foundation for reconstructing the vision, mission and praxis of Catholic education in Indonesia contextually for a more liberating national life.

Abstract

Sanggar Guru is a marker of the existence of a student community in the school. The learning community reminds teachers that they will be a source of learning, so it is necessary to continue learning. Thus, a learning climate will be formed in schools, not only for students but also for teachers. Sanggar Guru becomes a means of meeting between teachers and learning together in an assisted manner. Sanggar Guru is a term used to describe the habitus and learning community inherited by Y.B Mangunwijaya. Sanggar Guru is supported by the Mangunan Experimental School and Dinamika Edukasi Dasar Foundation . The study was conducted using a qualitative approach and the method of focus group discussion (FGD), this study aims to review the extent to which Sanggar Guru is a learning community that is able to foster a learning climate in schools. The thoughts of Y.B Manunwijaya and several figures became the analytical framework for the data found. There are several important points found in this study, namely Sanggar Guru as a learning community has a theme, continuous time, has output and there is documentation. In addition, the Sanggar Guru is carried out according to the school's vision and mission. The basic thing that is important is the awareness and willingness of teachers to continue learning. Through this teacher workshop, it was found that the teachers felt they were growing and developing each other among their colleagues.

Abstract

Untuk melestarikan kesatuan dalam hidup berbangsa dalam kebinekaan Indonesia, peran pendidikan agama amatlah penting. Mengingat pendidikan agama merupakan pelajaran wajib di semua jenjang sekolah formal, ada kebutuhan mendesak untuk merancang sebuah model pendidikan agama yang mempunyai kontribusi secara optimal bagi pelestarian kebinekatunggalikaan Indonesia. Penelitian kualitatif dengan metode kajian pustaka ini berfokus pada upaya mengekslorasi gagasan Y. B. Mangunwijaya tentang pendidikan agama sebagai proses dialog kehidupan. Dalam pandangan Y. B. Mangunwijaya, model pendidikan agama sebagai proses komunikasi iman perlu dikembangkan dan dipraktikkan agar anak-anak bangsa bertumbuh dalam kesetiakawanan, menghargai perbedaan, dan memiliki ketrampilan hidup bersama dalam kebinekaan. Komunikasi iman merupakan model pendidikan agama yang menghargai setiap pribadi dengan segala keunikannya. Proses pembelajaran agama dengan model komunikasi iman memberi ruang bagi setiap pribadi untuk berdialog secara egaliter, saling menumbuhkan kepekaan sosial dan terbuka untuk bekerjasama dalam mewujudkan perkembangan hidup bersama. Isi pokok pembelajaran komunikasi lintas iman adalah pengalaman setiap pribadi dalam relasi dengan Tuhan, sesama dan lingkungan sekitar. Komunikasi pengalaman iman yang dikembangkan di sekolah perlu dilengkapi dengan pelaksanaan tanggungjawab orang tua dan institusi agama untuk menumbuhkan pemahaman, kesadaran, sikap dan perilaku hidup beragama setiap pribadi sesuai dengan agama yang dianut.

Abstract

Media sosial merupakan sarana komunikasi yang umum dipakai oleh semua orang di era digital saat ini. Bagi kaum muda, media sosial telah menjadi sebuah sarana untuk mengaktualisasikan dirinya. Salah satu jenis media sosial yang banyak dipakai oleh kaum muda adalah Instagram. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan data-data tentang bentuk-bentuk implementasi nilai-nilai Pancasila yang terkandung dalam konten-konten akun Instagram @OMK Indonesia. OMK Indonesia merupakan akun Instagram yang banyak diikuti oleh kelompok orang muda Katolik di seluruh Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis isi. Peneliti kualitatif ini menganalisis isi satu per satu konten-konten yang terdapat pada akun Instagram @OMK Indonesia. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa postingan-postingan Instagram @OMK Indonesia mengandung nilai-nilai Pancasila. Nilai-nilai Pancasila tersebut antara lain nilai ketuhanan, nilai kemanusiaan, nilai kesatuan, nilai kerakyatan dan nilai keadilan sosial. Nilai-nilai ini terwujud dalam aksi solidaritas, saling berbagi, pendalaman iman, perjumpaan dan dialog bersama. Penulis juga merekomendasikan kepada akun ini untuk lebih meningkatkan postingan-postingan tentang implementasi nilai-nilai Pancasila bagi kaum muda. Dengan demikian akun ini tidak melulu berisi tentang ajaran-ajaran agama, namun akun ini juga dapat menjadi sarana menyajikan berbagai praktik implementasi nilai-nilai Pancasila sehingga orang muda mendapatkan edukasi berliterasi digital yang berkualitas. Penerapan nilai-nilai Pancasila tersebut menjadi literasi digital untuk mengangkat kembali nilai-nilai luhur bangsa yang mulai memudar karena arus globalisasi dan sikap hidup yang individualistis.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology changes the warmth and intimacy between family members. Technology has succeeded in keeping everyone busy with their gadgets and the convenience of surfing virtual media. This situation results in a lack of warmth in the family. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. This study aims to explore youtube content DESAHAN Minomartani Parish to proclaim the faith in the light of Amoris Laetitia and Ecclesia Domestica. This evangelization is also an effort to make Christian families feel increasingly warm in the family amid increasingly rapid technological developments. The research subject is the content of DESAHAN at Fokus Minomartani, which talks about family. This research is qualitative by applying a case study approach. The research subject is the content of DESAHAN in Minomartani Focus which raises about family. This research uses the theoretical framework of Pope Francis' thought in the documents of Amoris Laetitia and Ecclesia Domestica. The results showed three essential points. First, content with a family theme is always discussed every month. Second, a meditation on the family theme discusses messages relevant to the documents of Amoris Laetitia and Ecclesia Domestica. Third, content with a family theme is delivered to help families stay faithful to their marriage vows.

Abstract

Teaching factory learning plays a significant role in fostering an entrepreneurial spirit, which is the process of developing and implementing creativity and innovations to improve the economy. This research aims to determine the management of teaching factory learning in developing the students' entrepreneurial spirit at SMK Muhammadiyah Gamping. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The research method applied is a case study method with data collection through in-depth interviews. The research results show that the teaching factory learning management has been running well—as can be seen from the optimal functioning of each management function. However, it is necessary to develop more specific teaching factory learning to be competent to provide a more tangible picture for each student, especially in developing an entrepreneurial spirit. With this research, an overview of implementing the teaching factory learning practice that is appropriate, correct, and effective can be discovered in more depth.

Abstract

A blind and deaf child has a natural power to relate to other people even in situations and conditions of physical limitations. In relating and communicating with a blind and deaf child, teachers and caregivers need to recognize the child's modality. This study aimed to explore the experience of accompanying and educating a blind and deaf child. This qualitative research used an Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) approach and a case study using the interview method to collect data. The case studied was the experience of a teacher in accompanying and educating a blind and deaf student at the Helen Keller Special School (SLB G/AB) Helen Keller, Wirobrajan, Yogyakarta. Helen Keller's thoughts on relationships with children with special needs became the framework for analyzing research data. The results of the study showed that blind and deaf children related to other people by using the senses of touch, smell, and taste. These three senses were modalities and bridges for teachers to build relationships with blind and deaf children in the process of learning and to live together. Affective and empathic attention and relationships become the basis for assisting and educating blind and deaf children.
