Abstract

The problem of landslides in irrigation canal embankments often occurs in areas with soft and expansive soils that have low bearing capacity and are easily changed in volume due to fluctuations in water content. One of the main triggers is the rapid drawdown phenomenon that causes a sudden decrease in slope stability. In this study, slope stability analysis was conducted using the finite element method with PLAXIS 2D and PLAXIS 3D software. The main objective of the study was to evaluate the effect of mesh variation and soil model selection between Mohr-Coulomb Undrained A and Hardening Soil on Safety Factor (SF) value and slope settlement pattern. The reinforcement treatment analyzed was the use of Corrugated Concrete Sheet Pile (CCSP) installed on the side of the slope to improve stability. The results showed that the mesh variation affected the SF results and stress distribution patterns, especially in the 3D model. The Hardening Soil model produced more realistic deformation and SF predictions than the Mohr-Coulomb model. Thus, choosing the right soil model and mesh configuration is very influential in producing accurate analysis and can be used as a reference in the design of irrigation canal slope treatment.

Abstract

Soil stabilization is a method used to increase the carrying capacity of a layer of soil, by giving special treatment to that layer of soil. Soil is one of the factors that can affect the structure of road construction. The CBR value is one of the parameters to determine soil carrying capacity, if the CBR value is high then the soil carrying capacity is good, whereas if the CBR value is low then the soil needs to be stabilized. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics and classification of soil, determine the results of the grain gradation test, sieve analysis and hydrometer analysis, consistency limits (Atterberg limits) before and after stabilization, compaction results (Proctor) before and after stabilization, determine the CBR value of the soil before and after stabilization. This research included water content test, wet soil unit weight test, specific gravity test, sieving analysis, hydrometer analysis, Atterberg limit test, compaction test (Modification), and immersion CBR test and CBR without immersion. In this test, variations in the addition of 20% sand and lime content were 5%, 10% and 15% of the dry weight of the soil. From the test results, the original soil samples showed soil classification A-7-6 according to AASHTO with maximum dry density (MDD) values of 1.70 gr/cm3 1 day curing, 1.64 gr/cm3 7 days curing and 1.77 gr/cm3 for 14 days curing, there was an increase in the value of the maximum dry density (MDD) in the original soil stabilized with 20% sand and 5% lime, a value of 1.78 gr/cm3 was obtained for 1 day curing, 1.86 gr/cm3 cm3 7 days curing and 1.82 gr/cm3 14 days curing. From the test results, the original soil samples showed soil classification A-7-6 according to AASHTO with CBR values of soaked 3.15% 1 day curing, 3.68% 7 days curing and 4.21% 14 days curing, there was an increase Soaked CBR values on native soil stabilized with 20% sand and 5% lime obtained CBR values of 37.19% at 1 day curing, 42.10% 7 days curing and 30.29% 14 days curing.

Abstract

Gunung Sari Village, Batu City is a hilly mountainous area. Where the elevation contour of the land is at an altitude of ± 800 meters above sea level. Because of its hilly location, there are many steep slopes around the location. These slopes have the potential to experience landslides, considering that the rainfall in these locations is very high. Potential slopes with such conditions are suspected to have a safety factor (SF) < 1. For this reason, researchers are interested in analyzing the slopes on these slopes using the limit equilibrium method. In this study the method that will be used is to analyze the factor of safety in the existing conditions and the factor of safety after the slope is given geotextile reinforcement which will be modeled with the Geoslope/W 2012 application. The results of the safety factor analysis of existing conditions at cross 1 using the Geo Slope/W 2012 Program, the Bishop method, is 0.851, while for the Morgenstern method it is 0.961. Both methods show a safety factor value of less than 1 (F<1), which means the slope is unstable and has a high potential for landslides. The value of the safety factor with geotextile reinforcement for both methods has increased, making the slope more stable (F>1). The safety factor value for cross 1 of the Bishop method is 1.698 while for the Morgenstern method it is 1.702.

Abstract

The management of zakat, infaq, and sadaqah (ZIS) funds in many mosques is still carried out conventionally, leading to inefficiencies in collection, reporting, and distribution, as well as limited transparency and accountability. Masjid Raya An-Nur at Politeknik Negeri Malang, as a religious activity center, plays a strategic role in managing community funds. However, its manual system has hindered timely financial recording and reporting. The main challenges include limited access for donors to contribute online, slow verification processes, and a lack of transparency that may reduce public trust. To address these issues, this community service program developed and implemented an Android-based mobile application for ZIS management. The methodology involved a needs analysis through interviews and observations, system design utilizing REST API architecture with a Laravel back-end and MySQL database, and user training for both administrators and donors. The results indicate that the application successfully facilitates online donations, provides real-time reporting, and enhances donor participation through transparency features and digital reminders. Furthermore, the payment gateway integration enables more flexible and secure payment methods. Overall, the system has improved the efficiency, transparency, and accountability of ZIS management at Masjid Raya An-Nur, strengthened donor trust, and contributed to the digital transformation of religious social fund governance.
