Method : The type of research used is correlation with a Cross Sectional approach. The population in this study were patients who would undergo major surgery, while the sample amounted to 67 respondents with purposive sampling. Data were taken directly using a questionnaire and then analyzed with univariate to see the frequency distribution and bivariate to see the relationship between variables. Result : The results of data analysis showed that respondents at Dustira Hospital had high family support (94%) and experienced severe preoperative anxiety (89.6%). There is a strong relationship between family support and anxiety in major preoperative patients in the Dustira Hospital surgical room with a p value = 0.000 ≤ α 0.05. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between family support and preoperative anxiety in patients undergoing major surgery. Abstract

In the context of the massive wave of globalization that has the potential to erode cultural identity, the field of education is required not only to serve as a medium for the transfer of knowledge, but also as a strategic instrument in preserving local cultural values. This research aims to describe: (1) the development process of locally-based listening materials for Arabic language instruction at Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Pamekasan, (2) to determine the validity of the developed materials, and (3) to assess their effectiveness in improving students’ listening skills. The research method employed in this study is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: needs analysis, product design, product development, product implementation, and product evaluation. The data collection techniques used by the researcher include observation and interviews with qualitative data analysis, while questionnaires and tests are analyzed using quantitative methods through the Likert scale and the Paired Sample t-test. The results of the study indicate that: The process of preparing the teaching materials begins with the stage of analyzing students' needs using questionnaires and teacher interviews. The teaching materials are then designed in the form of a book. The development of listening skill teaching materials based on local wisdom received a score of 94% from the material validation, 92% from the language validation, and 91% from the design validation. Regarding the effectiveness of the product, using pre-tests and post-tests, the researcher obtained a result of 53.789, which is greater than the t-value at 0.05, thus the null hypothesis Ho is rejected. This indicates a significant change after the product trial, and the teaching material is effective in improving students' Arabic listening skills.

Abstract

The advancement of technology in the current era has led most students to prefer watching educational stories on smartphones rather than reading stories in books. This presents a challenge for educators to create technology-based educational videos. The lack of understanding of technology among educators makes learning media less engaging, which can decrease student motivation. This research aims to assist educators in utilizing animated video media to create enjoyable learning experiences for students. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, where the researcher seeks to describe the utilization of animated video media in Arabic language learning at Al Maahira International Islamic Boarding School Malang. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The data is then reduced, compiled, sorted, presented, and concluded. The results of the study indicate that animated videos can attract students' interest, helping them focus on the material taught by the teacher and making it easier to understand the content because students tend to be interested in engaging and visual images. The use of animated videos has its advantages and disadvantages. The advantages include making learning more interesting, increasing student motivation, and providing flexibility. The disadvantages include limited resources and the potential for student dependency. To maximize the use of animated videos, schools need to provide adequate facilities, offer training to teachers, and use animated videos in balance with other teaching methods.
