Abstract

The aim of this paper is to contribute to the role of shared reading in emerging students’ literary experience and their reading motivation. Shared reading replicates the bedtime story experience to the classroom reading activity. It provides enjoyment needed by the early readers. Sharing a big storybook to read along with friends and teacher can also give them a collaborative reading experience. Since the students are directed to read english text, shared reading offers opportunity in which the students start to learn how they read themselves. It is considered to enable them to enjoy and participate in the reading activity. Shared reading is thus as the strategy used in guiding and motivating students to read.

Abstract

Studies on research gap presentation only focused on certain field of studies, whereas there are no studies that try to compare different field of studies. Therefore, this research aims to fill the gap and investigate how authors from different field of studies present research gap in their research articles. As the research gap presentation are mainly occurred in the beginning sections of an article, 100 article introductions from 10 journals have been analyzed. The journals were divided into two major fields which are Hard Science and Soft Science. Analysis was done to find out what types of research gap strategies that is used by the authors following the seven research gaps framework: evidence gap, knowledge gap, practical-knowledge gap, methodological gap, empirical gap, theoretical gap, and population gap. The results show that authors from both Hard Sciences and Soft Science used knowledge gap as the most frequently used strategy and theoretical gap as the least frequently used strategy. Other result is authors in Hard Sciences use more varied strategies than in Soft Science. Furthermore, both fields seem quite similar regarding the occurrence of research gaps while still has differences in some parts.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe how the ward Binaraga , Rantau Utara Subdistrict, Labuhan Batu regency carries out the duties as outlined in government regulation Number 73 of 2005 concerning sub-districts related to tasks that should be carried out by the government, namely (a). implementation of sub-district government activities; (b). community empowerment; (c). Community service; (d). implementation of peace and general agreement; (e). maintenance of public service infrastructure and facilities; and (P). This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques of interviews, observation, document review. The object studied is the performance of the village head towards regional development and regional autonomy. Based on this research, the task that has been fully carried out effectively is the community service task in the area of ​​improving stabilizer infrastructure. Meanwhile, the assistance tasks are the same, but the PKH and BLT programs have not been fully implemented fairly, where when the assistance is distributed there is still a wrong target

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the implementation of guidance and counseling (BK) at SMPIT Widya Duta, an integrated Islamic school in Bekasi City. The method used in this research is qualitative research. The data collection techniques were gathered through direct observation, semi-structured interviews with BK teachers and students, and documentation. The results show that BK services are structured based on the Service Implementation Plan (RPL) with a focus on four areas: personal, social, learning, and career, as well as individual counseling as the most preferred service. The results also indicate that the BK teacher's approach includes initial observation, peer strategies for introverted students, and enforcement of confidentiality, with stakeholder collaboration as a supporting factor. Recommendations that can be given to improve the effectiveness of BK services include collaborative interdisciplinary training, continuous evaluation, and technology integration to strengthen synergy between PAI teachers, BK, and parents to address operational challenges and optimize student learning comfort and character development.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the ideal characteristics of a counselor based on the values contained in the Sanghyang Siksakandang Karesian (SSK) manuscript. A hermeneutic approach was employed to interpret the meaning of the text from the perspective of guidance and counseling grounded in local wisdom. The findings indicate that the concept of Rampes, mentioned 24 times in the manuscript, serves as the foundation for shaping a counselor’s professional, moral, and integrative character. This concept comprises three dimensions: (1) Bakti, which reflects religious awareness as a creature of God as well as a commitment to ethical behavior; (2) Wastu Siwong, a combination of knowledge, skills, and ethics that fosters integrity and professional competence; and (3) Pangimbuh ning Twah, encompassing social and personal competencies that support success in family and community relationships. These three dimensions are interrelated and form a holistic Rampes counselor profile. By internalizing these dimensions, counselors are expected to provide guidance services that are effective, empathetic, and aligned with local cultural values. These findings contribute to the development of guidance and counseling sciences based on local wisdom and strengthen the relevance of culturally grounded approaches in professional counseling practice.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji dampak kompleks media sosial terhadap kesehatan mental di era digital, menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan model studi pustaka. Data dikumpulkan dari jurnal ilmiah, buku, prosiding, dan laporan penelitian kredibel, kemudian dianalisis secara sistematis untuk mensintesis temuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi teknologi, khususnya media sosial, telah menciptakan paradigma baru dalam psikologi, memunculkan bidang psikologi siber yang menelaah identitas digital, komunikasi daring, dan perilaku adiktif. Media sosial menawarkan manfaat positif seperti peningkatan konektivitas, dukungan sosial melalui komunitas daring, serta edukasi dan pengurangan stigma kesehatan mental. Namun, media sosial juga membawa dampak negatif signifikan, meliputi perbandingan sosial yang memicu citra diri negatif, Fear of Missing Out (FoMO), potensi kecanduan, cyberbullying, serta pengaruh durasi, frekuensi, dan jenis konten yang dikonsumsi. Dalam konteks Indonesia, dampak ini diperparah oleh tekanan citra diri yang sempurna, paparan konten tidak realistis, cyberbullying (dialami 45% remaja), kurangnya literasi digital, kualitas tidur yang buruk, polarisasi sosial, penyebaran hoaks, dan ketergantungan digital (rata-rata 3-4 jam penggunaan per hari). Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi kesenjangan studi di Indonesia dan merekomendasikan pendidikan literasi digital, kampanye kesadaran publik, peran aktif orang tua, promosi penggunaan media sosial yang bermakna, dukungan psikologis terintegrasi, dan tanggung jawab platform media sosial untuk menciptakan lingkungan digital yang lebih sehat.

Abstract

This research explores the role of logic in the understanding of truth in educational settings, using a hermeneutical-philosophical approach. Logic, as a rational thinking tool, serves to develop students' critical and analytical thinking abilities, while science, through empirical methods, provides an evidence-based framework that supports the understanding of truth. However, the application of logic is often limited to theoretical aspects without a practical context, and science education tends to emphasise memorisation over process exploration. This paper proposes the integration of logic and science through an integrated curriculum, project-based approaches and the use of technology to create a holistic education that supports students' character and critical reasoning. This integration creates harmony between rationality and local values, relevant for 21st century education that respects cultural diversity. This research highlights the challenges of creating an inclusive yet value-based education and offers practical recommendations to improve the relevance of logic in learning.

Abstract

Adolescent’s deviate behavior may be caused by many different factors. A symptom of deviation that arose is just an indicator of a bigger crucial problem inside. Complexity of affective, cognitive and psychomotor in adolescence period that did not obtain proper nurture and guidance could bring them to an anomaly way. State of full guidance on adolescent brings them to finished development period and creates holistic awareness about their true identity as an entity of huge universe civilization. Holistic pedagogy comes to bring a discourse as thinking basic for describing about how to humanize adolescent that starts from the first step, home. The importance of human awareness as an entity of universe civilization with its tasks is a duty of adolescent’s development that often disappear from chains of multigenerational transmission in family, school and societal environment, where it is considered as a trigger of nowadays adolescent problems.

Abstract

This study examines the contextual meaning of educational verses in the Qur'an through a comprehensive Arabic linguistic approach. Employing a qualitative library research method, this study analyzes 247 educational verses distributed across 52 surahs of the Qur'an from morphological, syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic perspectives. Data collection techniques involved documentation by identifying educational verses using Mu'jam al-Mufahras li Alfazh al-Qur'an, then inventorying key terms such as 'allama (to teach), tarbiyah (to educate), tafakkara (to think), and 'aqala (to reason), along with their derivations. Data analysis employed Arabic linguistic content analysis through four stages: (1) morphological analysis (al-tahlil al-sharfi) to identify derivation patterns and lexical meanings; (2) syntactic analysis (al-tahlil al-nahwi) to examine sentence structures and grammatical functions; (3) semantic analysis to reveal semantic fields and contextual meaning relations; and (4) pragmatic analysis to understand speech acts and communicative implicatures. The research findings indicate that the morphological structure of educational terms employs the fa''ala derivation pattern, indicating intensive, continuous, and holistic educational processes. Syntactic analysis reveals the dominance of jumlah fi'liyah patterns and imperative structures that create active learning dynamics. Semantic analysis identifies educational semantic fields encompassing cognitive dimensions ('ilm), wisdom (hikmah), critical thinking (tafakkur), and character building (adab). Pragmatic analysis reveals 127 directive speech acts, 68 assertive speech acts, and 52 expressive speech acts that consider situational contexts. The resulting contextual meanings are relevant to contemporary education in the areas of critical literacy, holistic learning, the development of higher-order thinking skills, and science-religion integration. This research provides methodological contributions to the development of Qur'anic exegesis through systematic, objective linguistic approaches.

Abstract

This study examines the humanistic approach in Arabic language learning through the perspective of a love-based curriculum as an alternative paradigm that is more holistic, meaningful, and humane. The humanistic approach positions students as subjects with a natural potential to develop optimally, integrating the principles of Western humanistic psychology with Islamic educational values (tarbiyah). This research employed library research methodology using a descriptive-analytical approach. Data and data sources consisted of literature on Arabic language teaching methodology (ṭuruq tadrīs al-lughah al-'arabiyyah), as well as secondary sources including accredited international and national journals, conference proceedings, previous research findings, and scientific articles discussing related themes. Data collection technique used documentation by reading, identifying, classifying, and analyzing relevant literature through purposive sampling based on criteria of relevance, source credibility, and contribution to research concept development. Data analysis employed content analysis with a hermeneutic approach to understand the deep meaning of various concepts studied, involving data reduction, thematic categorization, interpretation through comparison of theoretical perspectives, and source triangulation for validation. The findings indicate that the humanistic approach through a love-based curriculum offers fundamental solutions to Arabic language-learning problems by fostering a supportive psychological environment, reducing language anxiety, increasing intrinsic motivation, and developing communicative competence holistically. This approach not only produces linguistically competent graduates but also individuals with noble character, deep love for the Arabic language, and commitment to lifelong learning.
