Abstract

One of the employees required to have optimal performance is an employee within the scope of a health service organization. There are indications of problems in the performance of non-medical health workers at Aliyah General Hospital, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. Researchers built the perception that their low performance could be influenced by perceived organizational support, work environment, reward, punishment, or job satisfaction. The study was conducted at Aliyah General Hospital (1, 2, and 3) in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. This study used a quantitative approach with 157 respondents. Data analysis used Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the help of SmartPLS 3 software. The results showed that perceived organizational support did not significantly affect employee performance and job satisfaction. In contrast, the work environment significantly affected employee performance and job satisfaction. Job satisfaction has a significant effect on employee performance. Job satisfaction cannot mediate perceived organizational support on employee performance; on the contrary, it has a mediating effect on the work environment on performance. The results of this study indicate that the performance of employees of the Aliyah General Hospital in Kendari City is driven by their work environment, especially the support of colleagues.

Abstract

Purpose: This review explores the interplay between leadership, job satisfaction, organizational justice, and counterproductive work behavior (CWB) in organizational settings. Research Methodology: The analysis synthesizes findings from various studies, focusing on the Leader-Member Exchange (LMX) theory and its implications for job satisfaction and CWB. A total of 14 articles were reviewed: four focused on LMX's impact on job satisfaction and CWB, five examined the role of organizational justice in shaping these variables, and five investigated the mediating role of job satisfaction in the LMX-CWB relationship. Results: The review highlights that positive LMX relationships, characterized by trust, respect, and mutual commitment, significantly enhance job satisfaction and reduce CWB. The findings underscore the importance of fostering positive LMX interactions and ensuring fairness in organizational processes to mitigate CWB. Conclusions: The study concludes that Effective leadership and organizational justice are vital for promoting job satisfaction and minimizing counterproductive behaviors in the workplace. Understanding these dynamics is essential for creating healthier and more productive work environments. Limitations: One limitation of this review is that it primarily focuses on existing literature, which may not encompass all relevant studies or perspectives on the topic. Contribution: This review contributes to the field of organizational behavior and management by providing a comprehensive understanding of how leadership and organizational justice influence employee attitudes and behaviors. This finding offers valuable insights for academics and practitioners aiming to address CWB and enhance workplace dynamics.

Abstract

Digital startups are reshaping markets through the use of AI, cloud computing, and blockchain; however, scholarship on how these firms adopt technology remains fragmented. This study systematically maps the intellectual structure and thematic fronts of research on technology adoption in digital startups. A field-tagged Scopus search conducted in September 2025 (coverage 2000–2025) was cleaned and harmonized using a VOSviewer. After de-duplication, 2,243 documents were analyzed via bibliographic coupling (knowledge structure) and co-word analysis (thematic). Four coherent clusters emerge. Strategic innovation and leadership function as the governance backbone that shapes adoption decisions and risk appetite. Sustainable, data-driven business models translate adoption into performance outcomes through analytics capability and value capture. Corporate entrepreneurship within innovation ecosystems bridges firm-level capability with external partners, investors, and accelerators, linking adoption speed to ecosystem embeddedness. Digital business transformation operationalizes AI/cloud investments into processes and customer journeys. Cross-cutting co-word foci, such as perceived usefulness/user experience and organizational readiness, act as mechanisms connecting individual cognition with organizational capability. Emergent topics in policy, regulation, and platform governance appear as boundary conditions that enable or constrain adoption trajectories. The mapping provides an integrative lens organized along two axes: cognitive evaluation and organizational capability that jointly explain adoption in digital startups. It identifies gaps in external enablers and capability maturation paths. A forward-looking agenda is proposed, featuring multi-level models that link cognition, capability, and growth, as well as quasi-experimental evaluations of interface simplification and onboarding, cross-country comparisons of regulatory regimes, and longitudinal tracking of platform transitions.
