Abstract

The development of a multidisciplinary integrated project-based learning model was carried out to answer the needs in elementary schools. Learning in elementary schools that use thematic approaches needs to be managed well to improve learning effectiveness. This study uses a type of research and development. The development process uses the Gall, Gall & Borg (2007) model. The preparation of guidelines and student book examples uses the steps of Dick, Carey, & Carey (2009). The model developed is accompanied by derivative products, namely learning manuals and student book examples. Based on this study, learning manuals and student book examples can be used in multidisciplinary integrated project-based learning to improve critical thinking skills and student collaboration.

Abstract

This research aimed at analyzing the correlation between learning motivation and the English achievement of Midwifery students. The research was conducted at Midwifery Academy of Harapan Mulya Ponorogo, East Java, Indonesia. The respondents were 39 students. Data were collected through motivational questionnaires adopted from the ARCS Keller’s model, namely Course Interest Survey (CIS), and Instructional Materials Motivation Survey (IMMS). The English achievement was obtained from the score of the final exam with the correlation analysis used was Pearson Product Moment. The result of the statistical test of the correlation between learning motivation based on students’ perception of the Instructor-led instruction and English achievement showed the level of significance that was 0,008<0,05 with coefficient correlation 0,431. The correlation of learning motivation based on students’ perception toward instructional materials with English achievement showed the correlation coefficient that was 0,349 with significance level 0,029<0,05. The result shows that there is a significant correlation between learning motivation and English achievement. The researchers suggest that the lecturers improve the motivation of students’ learning through improving lecturers’ competencies in teaching, using appropriate learning methods, and teaching materials that are in accordance with the field of student interest in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the problem-based learning model with a scientific approach to improve higher order thinking skills. The type of research used in this study was quasi-experimental with pre-test and post-test group design. The study was conducted by using one control class and one experimental class. The study was conducted on vocational students with a sample of 64 students consisting of 32 students in experimental class and 32 students in control class. The essay test was used as an instrument for retrieving data. Descriptive analysis and t-test were used to do data analysis. The descriptive test results showed that the average score of HOTS in the control class and experimental class had increased. The results of the t-test showed that there was a significant difference in the score of the pre-test and the post-test in the experimental class, whereas the control class had no significant difference. The conclusion of the results of the study shows that there was a difference between the improvement of higher order thinking skills using conventional models and PBLS models. The PBLS model was able to improve students' Higher Order Thinking Skills.

Abstract

Participatory learning model in functional literacy education attempts to involve learners completely to contribute and to participate actively in any stages of learning activity. This research aimed to apply participatory learning model and to find out the effect of participatory learning application on functional literacy education in rural community learners. This study was a research and development by producing a participatory learning model product applied to motivate the learners in rural community learning group of Semarang Regency. The design used in developing the model product was ADDIE model. Learning model trial was carried out using experimental research with pretest-posttest control group design. The participants of research involved 2 learning group with 35 learners in experiment group and 30 learners in control group. The result of trial was analyzed using statistic t-test. The result of research showed that (1) the application of participatory learning model could grow active participation and learner independency by utilizing their self-potency and environment, 2) Participatory learning affected positively the improvement of learners’ learning motivation with the mean score difference between pretest and posttest of 12.95 experiment group higher than 4.76 control group, and the learning outcome of learners improved with the mean score difference between pretest and posttest of  0.59 experiment group)higher than 0.3 control group. The application of participatory learning model was made the literacy acceleration process by involving the learners in functional literacy education as the attempt of empowering the rural community. The implications of the participatory learning model on functional literacy education can increase the active participation of the learning community, the motivation of learning, and the competence of the learning community. The implications for this participant learning model tutor can increase the creativity and innovation in teaching the learners of functional literacy education in rural communities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) berbantuan quizizz terhadap keaktifan belajar siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Karanganyar. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 2 siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari kegiatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI. F11 SMAN 1 Karanganyar yang berjumlah 35 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TAI berbantuan quizizz dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa. Peningkatan keaktifan belajar siswa dapat dilihat dari siklus I sebesar 45,71% dan siklus II sebesar 79,41%. Kesimpulan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini yaitu dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) berbantuan quizizz dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Karanganyar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan research based learning yang dipadukan dengan pendekatan saintifik terhadap peningkatan kemampuan critical thinking skill peserta didik kelas XI 3B SMA N 2 Sukoharjo. Model pembelajaran research based learning yang dipadukan dengan pendekatan saintifik memiliki  sintaks yakni merumuskan pertanyaan umum dan kegiatan mengamati, mendefinisikan pertanyaan. tinjauan literatur dan kegiatan menanya, menjelaskan metode riset, melakukan analisis data dan kegiatan berpikir logis, interpretasi dan pertimbangan hasil, laporan hasilPenelitian ini menggunakan jenis metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian tindakan kelas merupakan penelitian yang dilakukan oleh pengajar di kelas dalam aktivitasnya sebagai seorang pendidik dan bertujuan memperbaiki pembelajaran. Penelitian ini memiliki empat langkah yang harus dilaksanakan yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi.Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI 3B SMA N 2 Sukoharjo. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan research based learning yang dipadukan dengan pendekatan saintifik terhadap peningkatan kemampuan critical thinking skill peserta didik kelas XI 3B SMA N 2 Sukoharjo. Peningkatan tersebut muncul secara perlahan pada siklus pertama dan signifikan pada siklus kedua tindakan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis peningkatan minat belajar peserta didik setelah menerapkan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe teams games tournament berbantuan media question card untuk meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik SMK Negeri 3 Sukoharjo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI Pemasaran A SMK Negeri 3 Sukoharjo berjumlah 35 peserta didik, 2 peserta didik laki laki dan 33 peserta didik perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan analisis dokumen.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran problem based learning berbantuan media audiovisual. Subjek untuk penelitian adalah siswa kelas X5 yang berjumlah 36 siswa di SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Dilihat dari indikator kinerja penelitian  pada hasil observasi pratindakan diperoleh bahwa hanya terdapat 4 siswa atau sebesar 11,4% dari total siswa di dalam kelas yang mendapatkan skor ≥71,50% atau lebih dari atau sama dengan tinggi. Pada siklus I terjadi peningkatan menjadi 11 siswa atau sebesar 30,56% dari total siswa di dalam kelas. Pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa menjadi 28 siswa atau sebesar 77,78% dari total siswa dalam kelas. Dengan demikian dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning berbantuan media audiovisual dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X Sma negeri 3 Sukoharjo.

Abstract

This study aimed at describing the need analysis of English for Midwifery Purposes. The study was conducted at Midwifery Academy of  Harapan  Mulya Ponorogo in February 2018. The respondents were 34 students and 7 lecturers. Data collected through a questionnaire that was given to the students. The interview was conducted with 7 midwife lecturers. Data analyzed descriptively. The results of the study revealed that most students (61.8% believe that English was very useful. Almost half of the respondents (38,2%) said that English was useful to communicate with foreigner patients. 41.2 % of respondents wanted to study English in order to succeed in getting a job in the future. 23% of the respondents suggested that English teaching should be emphasized on speaking skill. 18.8% of respondents wanted the English instructional materials consisted of Antenatal care, 15.3 % about therapeutic communication. Meanwhile, Need analysis based on teachers’ perception in many things have similarity with students’ perception. They were the usefulness of English, Emphasizing English materials and teaching process.  Researchers suggested to the lecturer to design English teaching material that suits the needs of midwifery students.
