Abstract

The role of teachers is very important in the learning process to create a quality learning atmosphere so as to produce a quality output as well. The fact that there are still many obstacles in the field related to the role of a competent and professional teachers. There are still many students who have not been able to optimally apply the results of education in school into real life. This is what needs to get attention, that teachers as the spearhead of the success of national education goals that can be achieved by students. This study aims to find out how the form of planning and implementation of learning in elementary schools in applying the model of PBL, and how students' achievements in solving problems. Research with descriptive method, collecting data through questionnaire, test, and interview. Data analysis is statistically descriptive with calculation of percentage and graph. The results showed that the planning and implementation of learning with Problem Base Learning (PBL) is still low on average. The lowest score of teacher questionnaire results is on implementing scientific learning as much as 29.7% and understanding of new scientific steps 30%. Student learning outcomes measured through tests with three categories indicate the percentage of students in completing the lowest test is in the problem-solving

Abstract

This research aims to find out and to analyze the correlation between leadership of the priciple, motivation and work climate with the performance of high school economics teachers in Karanganyar Regency either partially or simultaneously. This research was conducted on the high school economics teachers in Karanganyar Regency. The population of this research is all of high school economics teachers in Karanganyar Regency as much as 38 teachers and also become sample research. Analysis methods used in this research is double linear regression method. The results showed that leadership significantly to the performance of economics teachers on coefficient 0,322 and sig = 0,037. It means that the leaders’ role creates the better economics teachers’ performance. Motivation related significantly to the teachers’ performance on coefficient 0,403 and sig = 0,025. This means that good motivation influence of the teachers’ performance well. Work climate related significantly to the economics teachers’ performance on coefficient 0,452 and  sig = 0,30. Furthermore, the better work climate affects the economics teachers’ performance will be better.

Abstract

This research aimed at analyzing the correlation between learning motivation and the English achievement of Midwifery students. The research was conducted at Midwifery Academy of Harapan Mulya Ponorogo, East Java, Indonesia. The respondents were 39 students. Data were collected through motivational questionnaires adopted from the ARCS Keller’s model, namely Course Interest Survey (CIS), and Instructional Materials Motivation Survey (IMMS). The English achievement was obtained from the score of the final exam with the correlation analysis used was Pearson Product Moment. The result of the statistical test of the correlation between learning motivation based on students’ perception of the Instructor-led instruction and English achievement showed the level of significance that was 0,008<0,05 with coefficient correlation 0,431. The correlation of learning motivation based on students’ perception toward instructional materials with English achievement showed the correlation coefficient that was 0,349 with significance level 0,029<0,05. The result shows that there is a significant correlation between learning motivation and English achievement. The researchers suggest that the lecturers improve the motivation of students’ learning through improving lecturers’ competencies in teaching, using appropriate learning methods, and teaching materials that are in accordance with the field of student interest in learning.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendekripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Fokus penelitian adalah implementasi pembelajaran kurikulum 2013, mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran yang diperkenalkan pada kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan yang difokuskan pada tahap studi pendahuluan dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kota semarang dengan melibatkan 45 responden dari satuan pendidikan dasar. Data diperoleh dengan membagikan angket kepada responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis deskriptif aktivitas dalam analisis data yaitu data reduction, data display, dan conclusion, drawing/verification. Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa satuan pendidikan dasar telah mengimplementasikan pembelajaran  pada kurikulum 2013, meskipun masih perlu ditingkatkan kualitasnya. Pemahaman guru-guru dalam mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran yang diperkenalkan dalam kurikulum 2013 juga baik, pelaksanaan pembelajaran dilaksanakan dengan berpusat pada peserta didik, (2) Implementasi K13 berjalan dengan baik, meskipun pada awalnya guru harus menyesuaikan dengan perubahan pola mengajar dan perangkat pembelajaran, dengan adanya diklat dan pelatihan-pelatihan sangat membantu, (3) Model yang diperkenalkan pada kurikulum 2013 telah membantu dalam peningkatan kemampuan bernalar siswa, akan tetapi perlu ditingkatkan kualitas pembelajarannya, (4) pembelajaran harus berpusat pada siswa, guru sebagai fasilitator, bahwa pembelajaran harus memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk mencari tahu penyelesaian sebuah persoalan atau berinteraksi dengan lingkungan sosialnya, (5) model pembelajaran yang mudah diimplementasikan, model yang memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa mengemukakan ide atau gagasan, dan memfasilitasi siswa berikir kritis, model pembelajaran yang memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk bernalar, aktif dalam pembelajaran menyampaikan ide dan argumentasi atau memberikan alasan-alasan.

Abstract

This study aimed at searching the different effect of Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) and Think Pair Share (TPS) types of cooperative learning models with Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach on the students’ learning outcome viewed from students’ learning activity. The observation, interview, questionnaires, and tests were used to obtain the data which were then analyzed using two-way ANOVA. The result of research showed that: (1) STAD with RME approach provides better learning outcome than TPS with RME approach does; (2) the students with high learning activities have mathematics learning outcome better than those with medium and low learning activities; and (3) there is no interaction between the model of teaching and learning activities students to the results of the students’  mathematics learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the classification of students' reasoning abilities in solving mathematical problems in elementary schools. The focus of this study is the classification of students' reasoning abilities in solving mathematical problems in the elementary schools of the city of Semarang. This study uses a qualitative approach. The Research subject is elementary school students at Tambakrejo Elementary School Semarang. Data is taken using tests. Based on data analysis, the reasoning classification is as follows: 36.25% understand the meaning in low categories, 37.5% think logically in low categories, 31.1% understand negative examples in low categories, 17.05% think deductions in very low category, 18.15% think systematically in very low categories, 31.65% think consistently in low category, 34.85% make excuses and determine strategies in low category, 49.85% determine method in low category, and 24.3% draw conclusions in low category. Thus the reasoning ability of students is low, students have not been able to think logically to make connections between empirical facts and the problems faced so they are not able to draw conclusions, students have not been able to do the thinking process to make arguments so that new statements are based on facts, it is necessary to develop learning models to improve mathematical reasoning of elementary school students

Abstract

This research is conducted based on children with special needs in Vocational High Schools, which has no good career maturity. Moreover, there are no basic career materials for children with special needs in the Vocational High Schools in Surakarta. Therefore, this research aims to develop the teaching materials in the form of a career guidance module to improve career maturity for children with special needs in the Inclusive Vocational High Schools in Surakarta. The method used in this research is Research and Development (RnD) research. The data analysis technique used in this research is the categorization formula. The research finding showed that the developed module had been appropriately stated to be used according to the test result by both experts and practitioners' validators. Meanwhile, the effectiveness test result showed a score improvement of children with special needs compared to the previous pre-tests and post-tests.

Abstract

Changes in government policies in the education sector are to prevent the spread of Covid-19. This study aims to explore the results of changes in the learning process of a full-day school. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study. Data collected by observation, interview, questionnaire filling, and documentation. Data analysis using interactive qualitative by Miles and Huberman. The results in this study describe the school preparation in implementing changes in government policy about the learning process in a full-day school program during the New Normal. The learning can be well implemented with some development of the school itself following the New Normal Era health protocol in achieving educational goals. The learning in school can be carried out if there are careful preparation and discipline in applying it so the learning can be safely for school residents. The implementation of several changes to health regulations and protocols encourages the emergence of social distancing behavior and minimizes the possibility of a crowd in the school community.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model modifikasi perilaku bagi anak dengan kebiasaan buruk dalam belajar dengan menerapkan 'continuous reinforcement' dan 'partialreinforcement'. Hasinya diharapkan dapat mengubah kebiasaan buruk anak serta meningkatkan prestasi belajarnya. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian dilakukan dalam tiga tahap. Pada tahap pertama (tahun 2004) dilakukan dengan menghimpun data base yang diperlukan dalam penelitian tahun ke II. Pada tahun ke dua difokuskan pada pengembangan produk penelitian berupa Buku Panduan Modifikasi Perilaku untuk Mengatasi Kebiasaan Buruk Anak dalam Belajar, sebagai bahan pelatihan guru dan orangtua. Pada tahun ketiga penelitian difokuskan pada implementasi Buku Panduan, dan hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa seluruh guru dan orangtua berpendapat bahwa biku panduan yang dikembangkan, sangat positif, sebagian besar menyatakan mudah digunakan dan berdampak signifikan pada perubahan perilaku positif maupun prestasi belajar pada anak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut direkomendasikan bahwa buku panduan modifikasi perilaku yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini, dapat didesiminasikan di sekolah-sekolah lain, dengan memperhatikan latar belakang pendidikan orangtua.Kata kunci: Modifikasiperilaku, kebiasaan belajar, prestasi belajar

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify and describe the use of clinical supervision in developing teacher’s competency at SMA Tri Dharma Palembang. This is accomplished through the use of a qualitative technique with a case study design. Data collection methods include observation, interviews, and documentation, with a single data analysis. The results revealed that the application of clinical supervision at Tri Dharma High School Palembang went smoothly through three stages, namely pre conference, observation, and post conference, and boosted teacher competency in controlling the learning process. This study is new because it attempts to investigate the growth of teacher’s professional competence connected with the adoption of clinical supervision in senior high schools. This study is likely to help school principals who seek to increase teacher professionalism by using clinical supervision appropriately.
