Abstract

A study has been carried out on the analysis of the physical and chemical quality of PDAM water in the Teluk Ambon Baguala sub-district. The purpose of this study was to analyze the physical and chemical quality of water from the Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) in Halong, Lateri, and Passo villages, including smell, taste, color, temperature, a total of dissolved solids (TDS), pH and hardness. The method used is the observation in the field at the time of sampling, then measurement and analysis in the laboratory. The results of the study indicate that the physical and chemical quality of PDAM water in the Teluk Ambon Baguala sub-district, which are smell, taste, color, total of dissolved solids (TDS), pH and hardness have met the drinking water quality standards according to the Regulation of the Minister of Health No. 492/Menkes/per/IV/2010.

Abstract

The coast of Jailolo is a tourism area that has the potential of natural resources, namely the potential of village tourism. Developing village tourism potential greatly supports economic activities in increasing community income. The high potential for geological disasters has a negative impact on the Jailolo coastal area, especially village tourism destinations. The low level of community resilience to geological disasters is limited information and a need for more data on disaster risk in the Jailolo coastal area. Therefore, maximum efforts should be made to increase community knowledge related to tourism optimisation, reducing the impact and risk of geological disasters. For mitigation efforts to be maximally and well coordinated, a tourism development strategy is needed on the potential of village tourism on the coast of Jailolo based on disaster mitigation, including multi-risk mapping of geological disasters on the coast of Jailolo. The resulting multi-risk map can be used for safe planning and safe land use and reduces the risk of geological disasters in the Jailolo coastal tourism area. The method used was an exploratory and evaluative survey method with a quantitative approach. Primary data sources were collected by surveying vulnerable communities using questionnaires and interviews to obtain information on capacity. Data processing was carried out in the form of scoring and then mapped with the help of QuantumGIS software. The data analysis technique refers to the Regulation of BNPB No. 2 of 2012 on Disaster Risk Assessment. It uses the Multi Criteria Analysis method with the help of Geographic Information System (GIS) software. The results showed that the Jailolo coastal tourist destination has a high risk of earthquake and tsunami disasters (score 3, red colour). Earthquake and tsunami multi-risk mapping in the Jailolo coastal tourist destination area, West Halmahera, is one of the strategies for developing disaster mitigation-based tourist destinations. Keywords: coastal; tourism; multi-risk; geological disaster

Abstract

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are high-level thinking skills that every learner must have to understand and solve problems. However, what often happens is that most teachers do not sharpen children in developing critical thinking skills. This study aims to improve students’ critical thinking skills through the use of practicum modules based on Advanced Questioning Skills (KBTL) in science learning. The population in this study were all grade VIII students at Santoso Andreas Junior High School, as many as 12 students who were then referred to as research samples. This research is included in the type of quasi-experiment research by applying the One-Group Pre-Test Post-test research design. The instruments used are test questions and Learner Worksheets (LKPD). The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively and quantitatively, which aims to provide a true picture of the use of the KBTL practicum module on the critical thinking skills of students. Based on the analysis conducted, it can be seen that there is a significant change or increase in the critical thinking skills of students based on the average achievement score, both obtained in the Pre-test and Post-test with a percentage of 55.4%. These results can be further reviewed on the results obtained by students during the learning process through the LKPD work on the KBTL-based practicum module, with an average achievement score of 87.08. The N-Gain test was carried out with the calculation results showing a value of 0.87 and included in the high category. This indicates that the use of KBTL-based practicum modules has a significant impact on improving students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The socialization of partnerships between teachers and parents in the implementation of deep learning is a strategic effort to build a collaborative educational environment centered on students’ needs. The main goal of this activity is to strengthen mutual understanding of the importance of synergy between teachers and parents in supporting a meaningful, reflective, and sustainable learning process. The socialization was carried out through discussions, counseling sessions, and the exchange of experiences and best practices between schools and parents. The results show that open communication and strong cooperation enhance support for character development, critical thinking skills, and students’ learning independence. Furthermore, this activity fosters a shared commitment to creating a positive learning atmosphere both at school and at home. Therefore, collaboration between teachers and parents in deep learning serves as a key element in improving the quality of education and can be used as a model for other schools, especially in areas with similar socio-cultural and geographical conditions.
