Abstract

Gambang Semarang is one of the traditional Indonesian music that grows and develops in the cityof Semarang, Central Java. Gambang Semarang music has an instrument made of wood which is the hallmark of Gambang Semarang music itself, namely Gambang. The Gambang instrument has a variety of distinctive accompaniment patterns that can give nuance to themusic of Gambang Semarang. The purpose of this study was to identify and describe the various patterns of accompaniment of the Gambang instrument in Semarang's Gambang music. The research method used is qualitative with an ethnomusicological approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interviews, document studies, and Focused Group Discussion. Data analysis was carried out with the stages of data reduction, data classification, and conclusions. The results showed that theaccompaniment pattern of the Gambang instrument in Gambang Semarang music consisted of an accompaniment pattern of gembyang nglagu oktaf, and a garap cengkok ajeg pattern. Each accompaniment pattern of the Gambang instrument involves a series of tones according to its seleh. Due to the influence of the melody of the main song, the accompaniment pattern of gembyang nglagu octaf and the accompaniment pattern of garap cengkok ajeg has six selehs, namely seleh do, seleh re, seleh mi, seleh sol, and seleh la.

Abstract

Patung adalah karya seni rupa tiga dimensi, yang memiliki dimensi panjang, lebar, dan tinggi sehingga memiliki volume. Visualisasi patung merupakan bentuk representasi dari manusia, hewan, dan tumbuhan maupun bentuk lainnya. Patung Macan Kurung adalah salah satu patung dengan medium kayu utuh yang dipahat tanpa sambungan, digunakan hanya sebagai barang nonfungsional dan pertama kali dijumpai di Kabupaten Jepara. Patung Macan Kurung menjadi identitas awal kota Jepara sebagai Kota Ukir. Penelitian dilakukan untuk menganalisis mengenai kajian semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce mengenai patung Macan Kurung Kabupaten Jepara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dan hasil data disajikan secara deskriptif. Proses pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam patung Macan Kurung yang ada di Kabupaten Jepara memiliki bentuk yang unik dan menarik, sehingga terdapat banyak sekali symbol yang tersirat di dalam patung Macan Kurung.Kata Kunci: Patung, Macan Kurung, Kabupaten Jepara, Semiotika Peirce.

Abstract

 Kajian mengenai penerapan warna dalam sebuah notasi musik belum banyak dijumpai di Indonesia. Pembelajaran piano dasar pada umumnya menggunakan notasi balok tanpa warna yang seringkali membuat anak usia prasekolah kesulitan dalam menerapkannya. Terbitnya buku metode Bukumusikku pada tahun 2020 yang menggunakan warna dalam notasinya merupakan salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi kejenuhan yang dialami oleh anak-anak usia prasekolah dalam pembelajaran piano dasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis fungsi notasi berwarna dalam sebuah pembelajaran piano dasar pada anak usia prasekolah. Metode yang digunakan merupakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara pada guru-guru di seluruh Indonesia yang telah memakai Bukumusikku selama lebih dari satu tahun, observasi di Jogja Music School dan Vocaganza, serta dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis Miles dan Huberman. Hasil yang didapat adalah warna berfungsi sebagai sarana dalam meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman anak dalam membaca notasi balok pada pembelajaran piano dasar. Warna dalam sebuah notasi juga membantu memudahkan anak untuk berlatih instrumennya secara mandiri, walaupun pemahaman secara menyeluruh terhadap keterampilan dasar bermain piano tidak bergantung pada notasi berwarna melainkan proses pembelajaran yang diterapkan oleh guru.

Abstract

This qualitative research study investigates the role of music as a catalyst for fostering sustainable tourism practices and contributing to the long-term social, economic, and environmental well-being of ecotourism destinations. The focus is on Truthung's musical performances in Magelang, which serve as reflections of local tourism potential and the surrounding natural environment, including the Borobudur Temple and the Merapi, Merbabu, Andong, Sumbing, and Menoreh Mountains. Drawing upon the interdisciplinary concept of ecomusicology, this study employs various data collection methods, including observations, interviews, and documentation. By examining the growth and development of Truthung Music performances, with a particular emphasis on key figures such as Sutanto Mendut and farming artists from Merbabu, this research sheds light on the transformative power of music within the local community. The findings reveal that Truthung Music not only represents the rich local environment and culture within tour packages in Magelang Regency but also emphasizes the broader interplay between nature and culture. "Village Civilization" provides clear evidence of the relationship between nature and culture, showcasing the local potential of the Lima Gunung arts community. This research addresses a gap in the literature by examining the specific role of music in the context of ecotourism and its contributions to sustainable practices. The implications extend beyond the local community, providing valuable insights for policymakers, tourism professionals, and cultural preservationists regarding the significant role that music can play in promoting sustainable tourism and preserving the cultural heritage of ecotourism destinations.

Abstract

This research generally aims to look at the inheritance system as an effort to preserve kuriding music in South Kalimantan. The method used is a qualitative method with an ethnomusicological approach, namely kuriding instrument craftsmen, academics, and the community in South Kalimantan. The main data collection tool in this study is the researcher himself as the key instrument. Based on the results of research on inheritance systems (1) History, (2) Concept of Inheritance, (3) Performance Presentation, (4) How to Play, and (5) Conservative Ideological Values. The research is expected to provide knowledge about South Kalimantan kuriding music to the community as the owner of the art.

Abstract

Tari Zapin Rodat merupakan salah satu kesenian tari kreasi di kota Palembang tari zapin rodat ialah kesenian yang bernafaskan agama Islam yang di mana tarian ini diterapkan untuk menyalurkan dakwah dan menyebarkan agama islam karena pada tari ini mengandung syair-syair pujian kepada Allah SWT dan Rasul nya yang berpijak pada norma dan nilai luhur keagamaan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan pembelajaran tari zapin rodat pada sanggar tari Dinda Bestari di kota palembang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil dalam penelitian ini berupa bentuk serta struktur tari zapin rodat dan proses pembelajaran yang telah diajarkan oleh pelatih yang menggunakan 3 tahapan yakni, perencanaan, pelaksanaan serta evaluasi. Pembelajaran tari Zapin Rodat di sanggar memberikan pengaruh yang baik dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, dikarenakan pembelajaran tari ini menjadi daya tarik tersendiri bagi setiap anak untuk lebih mengenal akan budaya sendiri dan menjauhkan diri dari hal-hal yang tidak bermanfaat serta hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan.

Abstract

The importance of art education in instilling the principles of Pancasila that should be taught to pupils has diminished since the era of technological transformation. Learning the names of the Pancasila principles through music is a powerful tool. However, pupils lose interest in the process when learning is still presented in the traditional fashion. Student's strengths in global variety, mutual cooperation, independence, critical reasoning, and creativity can be cultivated through this music-learning process and included in their Pancasila student profiles. As a result, changes in music education are necessary for the extras. The study's overarching objective was to explain how interventions based on the world wall application might help students build a Pancasila profile to better serve their communities. The art and culture instructor and the tenth-grade pupils at MAN 2 Kediri in the city of Kediri participated in this study. This research uses observation, interviews, and written records to acquire its data.  The results of this study indicate that learning the art of music at schools in trumpet practice using the wordwall.net application can stimulate the profile of Pancasila students by cultivating an open way of thinking, mutual respect, mutual care and collaboration. This research is expected to be an innovative medium for teaching music learning so that students can get to know music in various ways

Abstract

Abstract. This article discusses the local potential in Banyumas which can be used as the main idea in making Banyumasan children's songs. Local potential consists of physical and non-physical, including tourism, ngapak dialect, cablaka, and babad Banyumasan. This potential can be expressed in the form of children's songs that have educational messages through art. Musicological analysis with an art phenomenological approach is used to see the process of selecting local potential that can be used as inspiration in making children's songs. This study aims to analyze the growing local potential in the Banyumas area which can be a source of inspiration in making Banyumasan children's songs. This research is a type of qualitative research using several musicological and phenomenological studies. The results showed that the local potential in Banyumas can be seen from traditional children's games, cablaka characters, natural charm, and tourism in Banyumas. Based on the analysis carried out by researchers, they found a simple formula about the use of local potential as a source of inspiration in making children's songs, including: the tone chosen must be simple according to the character of the nursery rhyme, there are educational messages based on locality values, the use of language that is interesting and easy to understand by children.

Abstract

Character development is the main and crucial thing in the implementation of the formation of every culture and habit that is carried out in a group and environment seeing the activities of adolescents that need to be directed so as not to lead to negative actions. The purpose of this research is to provide an understanding of character values in the development of musical activities as a guideline that supports the development of the creative process in a group or individual. This research is supported by the qualitative method and uses a psychological approach as an analysis of the creativity of students. The findings in this study are about the values contained in Surosowan Drum Corps Banten as a support for the creativity of members and the community, as well as a reflection of that value which is poured through creative attitudes and behaviors.

Abstract

Pemahaman tentang pendidikan seni kerap menjadi bias karena berlimpahnya pendapat yang naratif. Namun tidak bersifat fundamental, sehingga berdampak pada pengajaran dan hasil karya seni dengan berbagai jenis penerobosan. Urgensi terbesarnya adalah esensi dari pendidikan seni kaligrafi Islam tidak lagi tampak. Penting dilakukan penelitian ini untuk melakukan generalisasi paradigma untuk menemukan esensi dasar dari pendidikan seni kaligrafi Islam yang menjadi indikator atau parameter dalam membuat keputusan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif pendekatan deskriptif. Lokasi penelitian berada di dua wilayah yakni kota Medan, Sumatera Utara dan Sukabumi, Jawa Barat. Purposive sampling digunakan pada pemilihan sampel, karena dapat membuat kesetaraan gagasan walau memiliki lintas demografi, sehingga jawaban yang diberikan dari para responden dapat dianalisis dan dijadikan kesimpulan. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 5 partisipan. Teknik yang digunakan wawancara tidak terstruktur dan observasi. Prosedur analisis ditempuh melalui proses reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi data dengan model analisis siklus interaktif. Hasil penelitian menemukan adanya perbedaan kerangka berpikir dari setiap pendidik seni kaligrafi Islam. Berdasarkan konseptual ditemukan kesamaan pendapat yang sering sekali dipertegas sehingga menjadi esensi dasar dari pendidikan seni kaligrafi Islam yaitu: (1) pembelajaran tulisan indah Arab (kaligrafi Islam), (2) nilai-nilai keislaman, dan (3) dakwah.
