Abstract

This study examined the influence of beauty vlog on consumers’ purchase intention through consumers’ perceptions of source credibility and expertise, with consumers’ previous experience in using the product as a moderator. An experiments was conducted by exposing participants (n = 98) to a beauty vlog clip and a traditional advertising as a source of information on YouTube platform. Wardah lip cream products were used as a product in experiments. The results showed that the source of information had no effect on purchasing intention or consumer perception on the credibility and expertise of information sources. However, an interaction between information source and previous experience in using the product in influencing consumers’ purchase intention was found. Specifically, compared to traditional advertising, beauty vlog had a positive effect on the intention of purchase among individuals who had had used Wardah lip cream products.

Abstract

Masalah kesehatan mental merupakan sesuatu yang menjadi sorotan di kalangan remaja saat ini. Situasi pandemi  beberapa tahun belakangan ini, dapat menjadi salah satu faktor yang memberikan dampak bagi kesehatan mental remaja. Pemberian sosialisasi ini ialah bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan tujuan mengedukasi para remaja terkait faktor protektif dari resiliensi yang dimiliki remaja, sehingga dapat membantu remaja menjadi pribadi resilien, mampu coping dari faktor risiko yang ada di sekitar mereka serta dapat menurunkan risiko masalah kesehatan mental pada diri remaja. Metode dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu pendekatan edukatif yang terdiri dari pemberian sosialisasi pada remaja terkait resiliensi dan kegiatan penguatan dan bimbingan pada remaja berupa sharing session. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan bersama komunitas anak muda dari Kingdom Mission Network. Pelaksanaan pre-test dan posttest sebagai bahan evaluasi dalam mengukur pemahaman remaja terkait resiliensi. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman kepada remaja terkait resiliensi, remaja mampu mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor protektif dari resiliensi bagi individu, serta remaja mampu mengidentifikasi karakteristik untuk mendorong mereka menjadi pribadi yang resilien.

Abstract

Today, the need for skin care and make-up is a concern for women. Therefore, marketers in the cosmetics industry are using different ways to attract buyers, one of which is the technique of green advertising. This study was conducted to determine whether green advertising influences purchase intention for Love Beauty and Planet products. This research is an experimental study with a two-group design. In this study, the experimental group was exposed to green advertising while the control group was not exposed to green advertising. The results of the assumption test showed that the data were not normally distributed, so the researchers used the non-parametric Mann-Whitney U test to test the hypothesis. The results of the hypothesis test show that green advertising affects purchase intention for Love Beauty and Planet products, which is consistent with previous studies. This study proves that green advertising effectively increases consumers' purchase intention for Love Beauty and Planet products. It means that when consumers are exposed to advertisements that highlight the green theme of a product (such as Love Beauty and Planet), they tend to be more interested in buying the product. AbstrakSaat ini, kebutuhan akan skincare dan make up menjadi perhatian para wanita. Sehingga para pelaku industri kosmetik melakukan berbagai cara untuk menarik minat pembelinya, salah satunya adalah teknik pengiklanan dengan green advertising. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat apakah green advertising memiliki pengaruh pada purchase intention untuk produk Love Beauty and Planet. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan eksperimen desain dua kelompok. Pada penelitian ini kelompok eksperimen diberikan paparan berupa green advertising sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol tidak diberikan green advertising. Hasil uji asumsi menunjukkan bahwa data tidak berdistribusi normal, sehingga peneliti menggunakan uji non parametrik Mann-Whitney U untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa green advertising berpengaruh terhadap purchase intention pada produk kosmetik Love Beauty and Planet. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa green advertising efektif dalam meningkatkan purchase intention terhadap produk Love Beauty and Planet. Hal ini berarti ketika konsumen dihadapkan pada iklan yang mengangkat tema green (ramah lingkungan) dari suatu produk (seperti Love Beauty and Planet), mereka cenderung lebih tertarik untuk membeli produk tersebut.

Abstract

Work discipline is needed in a company to achieve company targets. The existence of transformational leadership that provides new perspectives and motivation to employees can improve employee work discipline to achieve company targets. This research was conducted to prove that transformational leadership can affect work discipline in general administration and finance employees of Regional Psychiatric Hospital X. The research method used is quantitative correlation, with information collection using a questionnaire. The sample used was 100 general administration and finance employees of Regional Psychiatric Hospital X. The data obtained were then analyzed using a simple regression analysis method. The results obtained from data processing indicate that transformational leadership has a positive (p < .05) and significant influence on work discipline, where work discipline is influenced by 29.2% by variations in transformational leadership. Thus, transformational leadership significantly influences work discipline in general administration and finance employees of Regional Psychiatric Hospital X.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of self-talk training on self-confidence of psychology students at State University of Malang. This study used experimental research methods with a quantitative approach. The design used in this study was a pretest-posttest control group design using a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The subjects in this study were 104 participants who were psychology students at State University of Malang in semester 2 and 4. The research was conducted offline at the Faculty of Psychology, State University of Malang. Data were obtained by conducting pretests and posttests using a self-confidence scale. Data analysis used in this research is Mann-Whitney U Test. The results showed that there was a difference in self-confidence in the group given self-talk training (KE) with the untreated group (KK) with a significance level value of 0.003 (p <0.05). This means that there is an effect of self-talk on student self-confidence. Thus, self-talk training is effective for increasing the self-confidence of psychology students at State University of Malang. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan self talk terhadap kepercayaan diri mahasiswa psikologi Universitas Negeri Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest control group design dengan menggunakan angket sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 104 partisipan yang merupakan mahasiswa psikologi Universitas Negeri Malang semester 2 dan 4. Penelitian dilakukan secara luring di Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Negeri Malang. Data diperoleh dengan melakukan pretest dan posttest menggunakan skala kepercayaan diri. Analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Mann-Whitney U Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedaan rata-rata (mean) kepercayaan diri pada kelompok yang diberi pelatihan self talk (KE) dengan kelompok yang tidak diberi perlakuan (KK) dengan nilai taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,003 (p<0,05). Hal ini berarti terdapat pengaruh self talk terhadap kepercayaan diri mahasiswa. Sehingga, pelatihan self talk efektif untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa psikologi Universitas Negeri Malang.

Abstract

Based on PISA 2022 data, as many as 82% of participating countries, including Indonesia, experienced a decline in mathematics competency scores. In Indonesia, around 71% of students do not achieve minimum competency in mathematics, and 81.67% of elementary school students have below-average mathematical problem-solving abilities. One of the factors that hinders student learning achievement is boredom. Previous research has shown that creating a new and interactive learning environment can reduce boredom. Therefore, this study aims to identify the effectiveness of indoor and outdoor learning environments on elementary school students' academic achievement in mathematics. This study uses an experimental quantitative design with a two-group matched independent measure approach to compare the two learning environments, namely indoor and outdoor environments. The results showed no significant difference between indoor and outdoor learning environments on students' academic achievement. Statistical analysis produced a t value of 0.307 and a Sig value (2-tailed) of 0.760 (p> 0.05), which means that both learning environments have the same effect on students' academic achievement in mathematics. These findings indicate that the learning environment, both indoor and outdoor, does not significantly affect elementary school students' learning outcomes in mathematics. AbstrakBerdasarkan data PISA 2022, sebanyak 82% negara peserta, termasuk Indonesia, mengalami penurunan skor kompetensi matematika. Di Indonesia, sekitar 71% siswa tidak mencapai kompetensi minimum dalam matematika, dan 81,67%, siswa SD memiliki kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis di bawah rata-rata. Salah satu faktor yang menghambat capaian belajar siswa adalah kebosanan. Penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa menciptakan lingkungan belajar baru dan interaktif dapat mengurangi kebosanan. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi efektivitas lingkungan belajar indoor dan outdoor terhadap capaian akademik matematika siswa SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif eksperimental dengan pendekatan two-group matched independent measure untuk membandingkan antara lingkungan indoor dan outdoor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan signifikan antara lingkungan belajar indoor dan outdoor terhadap capaian akademik siswa. Analisis statistik menghasilkan nilai t sebesar 0.307 dan nilai Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0.760 (p > 0.05), yang berarti kedua lingkungan belajar memiliki efek yang sama terhadap capaian akademik matematika siswa. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa lingkungan belajar, baik indoor maupun outdoor tidak secara signifikan mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa SD dalam mata pelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Abstract: The absence of a father figure is a factor for a child to be involved in social problems, which is like juvenile delinquency. The father plays an important role in the family, namely as a breadwinner, protector, friend, role model, moral guide, teacher, and as an important agent for gender role development of a child. This study aims to examine the impact of the father absence on a child's gender-role development. Research method that used by conducting literature studies related to the research topic, namely the absence of a father figure and the gender role development of a child. Based on the results of a literature review, several impacts were found from the absence of a father figure on a child's gender role development. Nevertheless, other studies also show that there is no difference in the a child's gender role development between children who have a father figure or not. Because most of children who do not have a father figure are found to look for other male figures outside the home as their role models or found their mother as a complete figure for them. Therefore, it is important for parents to be a good role model for their child because this can affect the development of their child, especially in the role of gender role development. Keywords: father absence; gender role; children Abstrak: Ketiadaan figur Ayah menjadi salah satu faktor bagi seorang anak terlibat dalam masalah sosial, salah satunya seperti kenalakan remaja. Ayah memberikan peran penting dalam keluarga, yaitu sebagai pencari nafkah, pelindung, teman, model, penuntun moral, guru, serta merupakan agen penting dalam gender role development seorang anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dampak ketiadaan figur Ayah pada gender-role development seorang anak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan melakukan studi literatur yang berkaitan dengan topik penelitian, yaitu ketiadaan figur ayah dan gender role development seorang anak. Berdasarkan hasil kajian pustaka, didapatkan beberapa dampak dari ketiadaan figur ayah pada gender role development seorang anak. Meskipun demikian, studi – studi lain juga menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan perkembangan gender role anak antara anak yang memiliki figur ayah maupun tidak. Sebab anak – anak yang tidak memiliki figur ayah ditemukan bahwa dapat mencari figur laki – laki lain di luar rumah sebagai role modelnya atau melihat ibunya sebagai sosok role model yang diperlukan. Oleh karena itu, penting bagi orang tua untuk dapat menjadi role model bagi seorang anak karena hal ini dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan seorang anak, khususnya dalam perananan gender role developmentnya. Abstract

Abstract: Math is still considered a difficult subject, especially in Indonesia, whether at the elementary, junior, or senior high school level. Even though in Indonesia, mathematics is one of the compulsory subjects at each level of education. Difficulties in learning mathematics cause obstacles in the mathematics learning process. Students who experience obstacles in mastering one mathematical concept will tend to experience difficulties in subsequent concepts. Like a snowball, if the concept cannot be mastered, students will have difficulty in understanding the next concept. As a result, more and more concepts will not be achieved. One factor that is considered to be related to learning difficulties in mathematics is working memory. This study aims to examine the role of working memory in students' math difficulties. The method used in this study is a literature review of various references and research journals. As a result, working memory has a role in students' math learning difficulties. Age differences affect the role of the contribution of the working memory component in these math learning difficulties. Keywords: working memory, math difficulties Abstrak: Matematika masih dianggap sebagai pelajaran yang sulit, khususnya di Indonesia, baik di tingkat SD, SMP, atau SMA. Padahal di Indonesia, matematika menjadi salah satu mata pelajaran wajib di setiap jenjang pendidikan tersebut. Kesulitan dalam belajar matematika menimbulkan hambatan dalam proses pembelajaran matematika. Siswa yang mengalami hambatan dalam menguasai satu konsep matematika akan cenderung mengalami kesulitan pada konsep-konsep selanjutnya. Ibarat bola salju, apabila konsep tersebut belum bisa dikuasai, siswa akan mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep berikutnya. Akibatnya, akan semakin banyak konsep yang tidak akan bisa dicapai. Salah satu faktor yang dianggap berkaitan dengan kesulitan belajar matematika adalah working memory. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran working memory dalam kesulitan matematika (math difficulties) pada siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam kajian ini adalah literatur review dari berbagai referensi dan jurnal penelitian. Hasilnya, working memory memiliki peran dalam kesulitan belajar matematika pada siswa. Perbedaan usia mempengaruhi peran kontribusi komponen working memory pada kesulitan belajar matematika ini. Kata kunci: working memory, kesulitan belajar matematika

Abstract

Abstrak: Down syndrome merupakan suatu kondisi yang berhubungan dengan keterbatasan dalam perkembangan intelektual dan terlihat secara fisik. Anak down syndrome memiliki berbagai keterbatasan baik secara kognitif maupun sosial. Keterbatasan ini menuntut orang tua terutama Ibu harus memberikan perhatian ekstra dalam merawatnya. Besarnya tuntutan yang dihadapi dalam merawat anak down syndrome tidak hanya memberikan dampak negatif pada kesehatan fisik ibu namun juga dapat meningkatkan stres pada ibu. Berbagai permasalahan tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa ibu dengan anak down syndrome membutuhkan dukungan sosial untuk membantu mengatasi masalah anak mereka dan kesehatan mental mereka sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh ibu dalam merawat anak down syndrome dan dukungan sosial yang diterima dan yang dibutuhkan dari lingkungannya. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui pendekatan fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 3 orang ibu (Y, M, N) yang memiliki anak down syndrome. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ibu dihadapkan pada permasalahan dalam mengasuh dan merawatnya anaknya, perasaan khawatir tentang kesehatan dan masa depan anaknya, stigma negatif dari masyarakat, serta biaya perawatan anaknya. Dukungan sosial yang diterima ibu berupa dukungan emosional, instrumental, informasi, dan dukungan pertemanan, namun 2 diantara 3 subjek penelitian merasa dukungan sosial yang diterimanya belum memadai dalam memperbaiki keadaan anak mereka. Abstract: Down syndrome is a condition associated with limitations in intellectual development and physical appearance. Down syndrome children have various limitations both cognitively and socially. This limitation requires parents, especially mothers, to pay extra attention to caring for them. The high demands faced in caring for children with down syndrome have an impact on the mother's physical health and also increase stress on the mother. These problems indicate that mothers of children with down syndrome need social support to help them cope with their children's problems and their mental health. This study aims to explore the problems faced by mothers in caring for their children with down syndrome, and how social support is needed and received from their environment. This research method is qualitative using a phenomenological approach. The research subjects consisted of 3 mothers (Y, M, N) who have children with down syndrome. The results showed that mothers are faced with problems in caring for their children, feeling worried about their children's health and future, negative stigma from society, and the cost of caring for their children. The social support received by mothers included emotional, instrumental, informational, and friendship support, however, 2 of the 3 research subjects felt that the social support they received was inadequate to improve their child's condition.

Abstract

Abstract: Bullying behavior still occurs in various parts of the world, including in Indonesia, until now. This bullying behavior had a negative impact, namely emotional and behavioral disturbances for both bullies and victims of bullying. The purpose of this research was to explore the factors that influence bullying behavior; psychological dynamics of perpetrators and victims of bullying as well as psychological dynamics of academic motivation development interventions in self-compassion in minimizing bullying behavior. This research is a literature study. The research procedure included reading theories related to academic motivation, self-compassion, academic motivation in self-compassion, bullying behavior, predictors of bullying, psychological dynamics of academic motivation in compassion in minimizing bullying. The results of this study were the factors that cause bullying behavior is a lack of moral knowledge about bullying behavior and its effects; parenting style that is too authoritarian and permissive; justification for bullying in schools. There were many negative impacts on bullying behavior, starting from emotional and behavioral disturbances in bullying perpetrators, which were related to aggression and emotional and behavioral disturbances in bullying related to low self-esteem, stress, depression, difficulty adapting, and even attempted suicide in victims of bullying. One of the interventions to minimize bullying behavior was by developing academic motivation in self-compassion to minimize bullying. Abstrak: Perilaku bullying masih terjadi di berbagai belahan dunia termasuk di Indonesia, hingga saat ini. Perilaku bullying ini memberi dampak yang negatif yakni gangguan emosi dan perilaku baik pada pelaku bullying maupun korban bullying. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah melakukan studi literature terkait dengan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku bullying; dinamika psikologis pelaku dan korban bullying serta dinamika psikologis intervensi pengembangan motivasi akademik dalam self-compassion dalam meminimalisir perilaku bullying. Penelian ini merupakan penelitian studi literature. Prosedur penelitian ini meliputi membaca teori berkaitan dengan motivasi akademik, self-compassion, motivasi akademik dalam self-compassion, perilaku bullying, prediktor bullying, dinamika psikologis motivasi akademik dalam compassion dalam meminimalisir bullying. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan perilaku bullying adalah kurangnya pengetahuan moral tentang perilaku bullying dan dampaknya; pola asuh orang tua yang terlalu otoriter dan permisif; pembenaran bullying di sekolah. Banyak dampak negatif dalam perilaku bullying mulai dari gangguan emosi dan perilaku pada pelaku bullying yakni berkaitan dengan agresi dan gangguan emosi dan perilaku pada bullying terkait dengan rendah diri, stress, depresi, susah beradaptasi, bahkan percobaan bunuh diri pada korban bullying. Salah satu intervensi untuk meminimalisir perilaku bullying dengan mengembangkan motivasi akademik dalam self-compassion untuk meminimalisir bullying.
