Abstract

Islamic teaching values are an integral component of an Islamic educational institution. The value of Islamic teaching is also an indicator of success in the educational process at the institution. This also applies to Tahfidz Boarding school which has students with various backgrounds of study programs at Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus). Tahfidz Boarding school tries to instill Islamic values in every daily activity. Therefore, this study explains what Islamic education values are instilled and explains what methods are used at Tahfidz Boarding school. This type of research is field research. This research has primary data sources from all students who live in the Tahfidz Boarding school as well as being active students in each study program at Unimus. Other sources of this research are documents of student activities owned by Tahfidz Boarding school. The method of this research is deductive method with qualitative description data analysis with data collection method using observation, in-depth interview, and documentation. the conclusion of this research is the cultivation of Islamic teaching values in the men’s Tahfidz Boarding school of Unimus covers 4 values of ulumul qur'an, faith values, moral values, worship values and the methods used are five methods, namely lectures, practical methods, exemplary methods, and habituation methods.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of pesantren education on the development of student character in Indonesia. Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions that have an important role in shaping the character of students through a holistic approach that includes religious, moral, ethical, and social skills education. The board-based education system in pesantren allows students to live in a structured environment, where values such as discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and social solidarity are internalized through daily activities and social interaction. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach to understand more deeply how pesantren plays a role in shaping the character of strong and integrity students, especially in the midst of the challenges of modernization and globalization. The results of the study show that pesantren have a significant influence in building the character of students through traditional and religious values, which remains relevant even in the face of social and technological changes. Islamic boarding schools have also begun to integrate modern skills such as entrepreneurship and digital literacy to prepare students to face global challenges. The aspects of character that are most influenced by pesantren education include discipline, social responsibility, solidarity, and independence. This research concludes that pesantren have a great contribution in forming a young generation that is moral, moral, and ready to adapt to the changing times without losing their traditional identity

Abstract

Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS), sebagai institusi pendidikan tinggi berbasis Islam, berkomitmen untuk meningkatkan kemampuan spiritual sivitas akademika, termasuk karyawan, melalui program pelatihan Baca Tulis Al-Qur'an (BTQ). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan, merancang, dan menyebarkan program pelatihan BTQ bagi karyawan UNIMUS guna meningkatkan kemampuan mereka dalam membaca dan memahami Al-Qur'an. Survei awal menunjukkan bahwa banyak karyawan memiliki keinginan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan BTQ, namun terhambat oleh keterbatasan waktu, akses pembelajaran yang sistematis, serta lingkungan kerja yang kurang mendukung. Program pelatihan ini dirancang selama 8 minggu dengan metode ceramah, diskusi kelompok, praktik langsung, dan bimbingan personal. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kepuasan peserta, di mana dari 47 peserta, 23 orang (48,94%) merasa puas dan 24 orang (51,06%) merasa sangat puas. Meskipun ada peningkatan yang signifikan, hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan BTQ tidak dapat sepenuhnya berhasil hanya dalam waktu singkat dan memerlukan pendampingan lebih lanjut pasca pelatihan. Selain peningkatan teknis, pelatihan juga berdampak positif pada kesejahteraan spiritual peserta. Pelatihan ini diharapkan menjadi model bagi institusi lain yang ingin mengembangkan aspek spiritualitas karyawannya.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, students are expected to possess intellectual, spiritual, and social intelligence. Spiritual, and social intelligence to navigate complex societal challenges effectively. However, the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in fostering these qualities, particularly in higher education, remains underexplored. This study examines the impact of PAI on students' spiritual and social qualities. This study bridges this gap by examining the effects of PAI on students' spiritual and social qualities. This study examines the impact of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) on improving students' spiritual and social qualities at the Faculty of Agricultural Science and Technology, University Muhammadiyah Semarang. The research employed a quantitative survey method using accidental sampling, involving 150 third-semester students who had completed the PAI course. Data were collected through a 12-item questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive analysis and t-tests. The results indicate that PAI learning significantly enhances students' spiritual quality, reflected in their understanding of religious teachings, frequency of worship, and ethical awareness. Social quality also showed significant improvement, as evidenced by increased participation in social activities, empathy towards others, and effective communication skills. All variables demonstrated a p-value of less than 0.05, indicating significant changes after the PAI learning. Although this study highlights the crucial role of PAI in shaping students' character, it has several limitations, such as its single-faculty focus, reliance on a specific questionnaire, and short-term observation, highlight the need for further research. Abstract

Desa Kumpulrejo adalah salah satu desa di kabupaten Kendal yang memiliki website aktif yang berisi berbagai macam informasi yang berguna bagi masyarakat. Berdasarkan wawancara dengan Kepala Desa Kumpulrejo, Desa ini sudah selayaknya mempunyai sistem pelayanan publik berbasis teknologi. Saat ini pelayanan publik di Desa Kumpulrejo masih kurang efektif. Masyarakat harus meluangkan waktu datang ke balai desa untuk mengurus kelengkapan administrasi, meskipun di kantor desa sudah terdapat komputer. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah mobilitas masyarakat yang tinggi menyebabkan pelayanan publik secara manual sangat tidak efektif dan efisien. SDM pemerintah Desa Kumpulrejo yang belum memiliki ketrampilan teknologi informasi. Pemanfaatan data dan informasi di pemerintah Desa Kumpulrejo belum maksimal. Maka Tim PKM memberikan solusi "DESA CERDAS" Sistem Informasi Pelayanan Kependudukan Berbasis Web di Desa Kumpulrejo . Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan IPTEK berupa sistem informasi kependudukan yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan mitra. Selain itu peningkatan literasi digital serta literasi data juga diprogramkan pada kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk mendukung implementasi “Desa Cerdas” sistem informasi pelayanan kependudukan desa Kumpulrejo
