Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of pesantren education on the development of student character in Indonesia. Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions that have an important role in shaping the character of students through a holistic approach that includes religious, moral, ethical, and social skills education. The board-based education system in pesantren allows students to live in a structured environment, where values such as discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and social solidarity are internalized through daily activities and social interaction. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach to understand more deeply how pesantren plays a role in shaping the character of strong and integrity students, especially in the midst of the challenges of modernization and globalization. The results of the study show that pesantren have a significant influence in building the character of students through traditional and religious values, which remains relevant even in the face of social and technological changes. Islamic boarding schools have also begun to integrate modern skills such as entrepreneurship and digital literacy to prepare students to face global challenges. The aspects of character that are most influenced by pesantren education include discipline, social responsibility, solidarity, and independence. This research concludes that pesantren have a great contribution in forming a young generation that is moral, moral, and ready to adapt to the changing times without losing their traditional identity

Abstract

Strengthening Islamic and Muhammadiyah values ​​(AIK) is an important foundation in developing religious attitudes and an Islamic work ethic within the Muhammadiyah Community Service environment. However, support staff such as office boys, drivers, and security guards at the University of Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS) often do not receive systematic guidance regarding the implementation of obligatory worship, especially the five daily prayers. This community service activity aims to increase understanding, awareness, and consistency in the practice of obligatory worship through an educational, participatory approach and the application of simple learning media. Implementation methods include socialization, andragogy-based worship practice training, the provision of short learning videos, the use of daily worship journals (printed and digital), and routine mentoring. Evaluation was carried out through pre-post tests, observation of worship practices, and participant reflections. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in the understanding and implementation of obligatory worship, reflected in increased post-test scores, regular congregational prayers, and increased spiritual commitment of support staff. In conclusion, this program is effective in strengthening the practice of obligatory worship while building a more harmonious Islamic work culture within the UNIMUS environment.

Abstract

This study examines the internal conflict that occurred at Muhammadiyah Weleri Elementary School, involving the principal and teachers. The conflict arose primarily due to perceived unilateral leadership policies, lack of communication, and teacher dissatisfaction with welfare and workload. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The conflict analysis was conducted using social conflict theory and conflict analysis instruments such as conflict mapping, the Attitude-Behavior-Context (DSS) triangle, and the onion analysis. The results indicate that internal conflict can be managed through a conflict resolution mechanism based on deliberation, negotiation, and compromise, involving the Muhammadiyah Elementary and Secondary Education Council as a mediator. This research is expected to contribute to conflict management in Muhammadiyah educational institutions.

Abstract

Literasi data kependudukan menjadi sangat penting karena menyangkut kemampuan individu, organisasi, maupun pemerintah dalam memahami, menggunakan, dan mengelola informasi mengenai jumlah, karakteristik, serta dinamika penduduk. Bagi kader Posyandu, data kependudukan memiliki arti strategis karena mereka adalah ujung tombak layanan kesehatan dasar di tingkat masyarakat. Tanpa pencatatan yang baik, intervensi menjadi tidak terarah dan evaluasi program menjadi sulit dilakukan. Kelurahan Pedurungan Lor, khususnya RW 1, Kecamatan Pedurungan, Kota Semarang, dipilih sebagai lokasi kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat. Urgensi kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah mengingat pentingnya data sebagai dasar dalam pengambilan keputusan dan perencanaan kesehatan masyarakat, juga peningkatan kompetensi kader Posyandu dalam pengelolaan dan visualisasi data menjadi sangat mendesak. Oleh karena itu diperlukan kegiatan yang meningkatkan pengetahuan literasi data kependudukan dan melatih pembuatan infografis dan monografi desa. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan pre-post test terkait pemahaman literasi data dan pembuatan infografis. Berdasarkan kegiatan yang dilakukan menunjukkan hasil adanya peningkatan pemahaman literasi data dan pembuatan infografis melalui Canva, hal ini tercermin pada nilai rata-rata skor post test yang mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan.

Abstract

Based on observations in the Katonsari Village, Demak District, Demak Regency, the delivery of information about Covid-19 and its impacts is still traditional, namely using text, tables or diagrams that are less attractive. Katonsari Village apparatus must have innovations in conveying information about Covid-19 and its impacts, such as new methods or media for conveying information. One of them is through infographics. Through the training, mentoring, mentoring and coaching that will be carried out, it is hoped that it will be able to make the officials of Katonsari Village, Demak District, Demak Regency more professional in utilizing IT to convey information on the impact of Covid-19 to the public through infographics. So that it can increase the awareness of the people of Katonsari Village in preventing Covid-19. This program consists of several stages which include delivering conceptual material on infographics, compiling data on the impact of Covid-19 into IT-based information, especially infographics, and socializing the results of infographics to the public.
