Abstract

Digestibility is food substances from feed consumption that are not excreted into the feces, and the difference between food substances consumed and those excreted in the feces is the amount of food that can be digested. Information about the digestibility value of food is very important as a basis in assessing the quality of food and designing fish feed rations.This research was conducted to determine the level of the feed digestibility in nirvana tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) feed with a combination of fish meal and maggot flour. This research was conducted at the Hatchery Campus of BAPPL STP Serang, Banten from September-December 2019. This study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications. There were 225 fish used in the testing with an average weight of 0.16 grams. The culture media used was a plastic  container with a size of 60 x 41 x 34 cm. Feeding was carried out for 50 days, with a frequency of twice a day, and the dose of feeding was 3% of the biomass.The results showed the total digestibility parameter of feed, protein digestibility of feed and the highest protein retention in the treatment of 50% of the combination feeds , with the highest total digestibility value of 56.97 ± 3.41 and the lowest of 42.08 ± 0.42, the highest protein digestibility with a value of 87.33 ± 0.95and the lowest of 83.11 ± 1.30 and the highest protein retention with a value of 14.83 ± 0.22and the lowest of 11.69 ± 1.05.

Abstract

Tilapia is an economically important fish and is widely cultivated in Indonesia. More food in tilapia farming uses fish meal which needs to be replaced because of dependence as an imported product that affects production costs. One of the local raw materials that can be used as a source of animal protein is magot. This study aims to analyze the right proportion of magot flour with a combination of fish meal and magot flour in feed so as to produce maximum growth and feed efficiency for tilapia seeds. This research was conducted in September to December 2019. Test fish used were tilapia seeds measuring 1-2 cm with an average weight of 0.16 g with a stocking density of 1 fish / m3. Fish are fed twice a day with a percentage of daily feeding of 3% of fish biomass. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and three replications. The treatment in this research is, treatment A = substitution of fish meal 100% with magot flour 0%, B = substitution of fish meal 75% with magot flour 25%, C = substitution of fish meal 50% with magot flour 50%, D = substitution of flour fish 25% with 75% magot flour, E = substitution of 0% fish flour with 100% magot flour. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) if there were significantly different treatment effects followed by Duncan's Multiple Range Test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the addition of magot flour 50% gave a significant result (P <0.05) on protein retention with a value of 14.83%, a specific growth rate with a value of 2.00%, absolute weight growth with a value of 4.34 g, and efficiency of utilization feed with a value of 93.59%. No effects were found in the the feed consumption rate and fish survival. Treatment C combination of 50% fish meal and magot flour can give the best results for the growth of Nirwana race Tilapia.

Abstract

The existence of the provisions of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries that the capture and / or expenditure of crabs (Scylla spp.) with the provisions of the size of the carap above 15 (fifteen) cm or weight above 200 (two hundred) grams per tail becomes a challenge in the soft carapas (soca) crab business that generally using crabs with an average weight below 150 grams. This study aims to determine the success rate of moulting and survival rate crab (Scylla serrata Forskal) with different salinity treatment using crabs weighing above 200 gr. This study used Completely Randomized Design with 5 (five) treatments and used 3 (three) replications, analysis of variance (ANOVA) at 95% confidence level was used to analyzing the data obtained. If there was a significant difference (P <0.05) then proceed with LSD test (Least Significant Differences) with 95% confidence level. The results of this research showed that the highest moulting success rate was obtained from the treatment with salinity of 10 ppt. While the highest survival rate (SR) was obtained from the treatment with salinity 30 ppt.

Abstract

Balai Besar Perikanan Budidaya Laut (BBPBL) Lampung merupakan salah satu unit pelaksana teknis di bidang pengembangan budidaya laut, salah satu peranan BBPBL adalah sebagai pengembangan komoditas budidaya. Guna memenuhi peranan diatas BBPBL mendatangkan induk ikan kakap putih strain Australia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui performa hasil pemijahan ikan kakap putih (Lates calcarifer) strain Lokal dan Australia yang meliputi jumlah telur total, fertilization rate (FR), dan hatching rate (HR). Metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode survei Induk yang digunakan untuk strain Lokal 15 ekor, 5 ekor dan jantan 10 ekor. dan strain Australia 15 ekor, 6 ekor dan jantan 9 ekor. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan informasi jumlah strain Australia pada bulan Maret dengan jumlah telur 2.143.000 butir. Rata- rata ferilization rate tertinggi bulan Mei dengan nilai 85,06%. Rata-rata hatching rate pada strain Australia yaitu 89,83%. Berdasarkan data hasil penelitian, menunjukan performa hasil pemijahan dari strain Australia lebih tinggi berdasarkan data jumlah telur total, fertilization rate (FR), dan hatching rate (HR). Abstract

Intensive vannamei shrimp cultivation is a high-density culture to get maximum results with the use of limited cultivation space. High cultivation activities cause high waste production, which inhibits growth, survival rate, and feeds conversion ratio (FCR). This study aims to determine the cultivation of vannamei shrimp with an intensive system on growth, survival rate, and FCR. The research was carried out in Lengokjawa, Pangandaran in the period March–May 2022. The research was carried out by means of a survey and analyzed by a quantitative descriptive approach. The results of the study obtained growth values, namely: Mean Body Weight (MBW) ranges from 1.61 to 21.11 g/head, Average Daily Growth (ADG) ranges from 0.14 to 0.62 g/day, size is 49 fish/kg and biomass is 7,680 kg. The survival rate value obtained is around 95.07 – 84.87%, while the feed conversion ratio (FCR) value ranges from 1.2 to 1.5. In general, the results of growth, survival rate, and FCR showed high performance and supported the success of vannamei shrimp culture with intensive system

Abstract

Daun kelor (Moringa oleifera) merupakan bahan baku lokal yang memiliki kandungan protein nabati sebesar 21,49% sehingga dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam penyusunan formulasi pakan buatan. Potensi penggunaan daun kelor sebagai bahan baku dalam formulasi pakan dapat dilakukan dalam bentuk silase. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan dan persentase silase daun kelor dalam formulasi pakan terhadap efisiensi nutrient dan pertumbuhan ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus). Penelitian dilakasana dengan menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengindetifiksi potensi silase daun kelor, persiapan pakan perlakuan dan uji biologi terkait efesiensi nutrient dan pertumbuhan ikan nila. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pemanfaatan silase daun kelor memiliki potensi yang sama seperti pakan komersial terhadap efisiensi nutrient dan pertumbuhan ikan nila. Nilai efisiensi nutrient tidak menunjukan perbedaan signifikan antara pakan formulasi silase dan tanpa silase daun terhadap rasio konversi pakan dan retensi energi (P>0.05), sebaliknya mengalami perbedaan signifikan terhadap rasio efisiensi protein (P<0.05). Pertumbuhan ikan nila yang diperoleh tidak menunjukan perbedaan signifikan antara formulasi silase dan tanpa formulasi terhadap pertumbuhan bobot mutlak, Laju Pertumbuhan Spesifik (LPS) dan tingkat kelangsungan hidup (P>0.05), hal ini menujukan bahwa kualitas pakan formulasi silase sama dengan pakan tanpa formulasi tapi memiliki tingkat rasio efisiensi protein yang rendah.

Abstract

Plankton merupakan mikroorganisme yang memiliki fungsi dan jasa ekosistem penting pada lingkungan perairan. Plankton rentan terhadap perubahan kondisi lingkungan perairan sehingga dapat dijadikan indikator kualitas lingkungan perairan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman temporal plankton sebagai bioindikator kualitas lingkungan perairan pada area sekitar tambak udang vannamei. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara survey dan identifikasi terhadap plankton dan kualitas air secara temporal. Plankton yang teridentifikasi dilakukan analisis indeks biologi (keanekaragaman, keseragaman dan dominansi), kualitas air dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif serta analisis regresi untuk mengetahui peran plankton sebagai indikator kualitas lingkungan perairan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh kelimpahan dan kepadatan plankton kelompok Chlorophyceae sebesar 78,30% (3 Genus), Cyanophyceae sebesar 12,89% (2 Genus), Bacillariophyceae sebesar 5,98% (3 Genus), Dinoflagelata sebesar 2,52% (2 Genus) dan lain-lain sebesar 0,31% (1 Genus). Kelimpahan dan kepadatan plankton secara temporal berpengaruh terhadap kualitas air. Hasil pengamatan kualitas air mengalami fluktuasi yang mendukung kelimpahan dan kepadatan plankton, sedangkan hasil uji regresi keanekaragaman (R2 = 0,7854), keseragaman (R2 = 0,9643) dan dominansi (R2 = 0,8673) plankton terhadap kualitas air sangat berpengaruh. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa keanekaragaman, keseragaman dan dominansi plankton secara temporal merupakan indikator biologi terhadap kualitas lingkungan perairan.

Abstract

Kegiatan budidaya ikan tidak terlepas dari permasalahan penyakit. Serangan penyakit dapat ditekan dengan penggunaan fitofarmaka. Fitofarmaka merupakan penggunaan bahan-bahan herbal yang teruji secara klinis mampu mencegah dan mengobati penyakit pada ikan. Kegiatan PKM dilaksanakan di Desa Cintakarya, Kecamatan Parigi, Kabupaten Pangandaran. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) bertujuan untuk untuk meningkatkan pemahaman terkait dengan potensi bahan-bahan, aplikasi, senyawa yang terkandung dan prosedur pembuatan fitofarmaka dalam kegiatan budidaya perikanan. PKM dilaksanakan dengan metode ceramah/pemaparan teori dan praktik langsung. Materi kegiatan berkaitan dengan penjelasan fitofarmaka, bahan-bahan dan senyawa potensial serta aplikasi fitofarmaka. Sedangkan kegiatan praktik langsung meliputi pembuatan fitofarmaka berbahan dasar kering dan basah sesuai prosedur. Hasil kegiatan PKM menunjukan terjadinya peningkatan pemahaman pembudidaya ikan terkait fitofarmakal sebagai promotor pertumbuhan, agen anti bakteri, anti-parasite, anti-fungal, anti-viral, antioksidan, imunostimulan bagi ikan, bahan dan senyawa potensial serta aplikasi fitofarmakal. Pembudidaya ikan memiliki keterampilan/skill dalam pembuatan fitofarmaka yang berbahan dasar kering dan basah sesuai dengan prosedur yang benar. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat menunjukan tujuan dan tema kegiatan, materi kegiatan, kualitas narasumber, kebermanfaatan materi kegiatan serta ruang dan fasilitas kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat mendapatkan persepsi peserta sangat baik dan bermanfaat terhadap masyarakat.
