Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly altered consumer behavior in Indonesia, with a stronger focus on essential needs such as food and beverages. This shift in priorities has been met with a positive response from businesses in the fast-food industry. KFC, one of the most prominent fast-food chains in Indonesia, serves as the context for this study. The research focuses on Indonesian Gen Z consumers who have previously purchased from KFC, with a sample of 180 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The study uses SEM-PLS analysis with Smart-PLS 4.0 software, revealing that Halal Certification, Brand Preference, and Trust have a positive and significant impact on Customer Loyalty. Additionally, Trust and Brand Preference act as mediators in the relationship between Halal Certification and Customer Loyalty, highlighting the importance of these factors in shaping consumer behavior. The findings suggest that halal certification not only influences customer loyalty directly but also strengthens brand preference and trust, which are crucial in fostering long-term loyalty. This is particularly important in the Indonesian market, where ethical and religious considerations are key drivers in consumer decision-making, especially among the younger generation

Abstract

This study aim to examine the influence of advertising, ratings, and E-WOM on consumer purchase intention on Shopee Live in the Jepara area. This research is a quantitative study utilizing a survey method. The population of this study consists of Shopee Live viewers in Jepara, with the sample being those who have made a purchase. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, consisting of 96 individuals who had previously purchased products on Shopee Live. Data was collected through an online questionnaire that had undergone validity and reliability tests. The type of data used in this research is primary data, which was distributed to respondents and then analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) and processed with SmartPLS 4.0. The research findings reveal that advertising and E-WOM significantly influence purchase intention. However, ratings do not have a significant effect on purchase intention. These findings are expected to provide crucial insights for sellers in developing more effective sales strategies to enhance consumer purchase intention on the Shopee platform.

Abstract

This study aims to accomplish the following objectives: to analyze the concept of mental health from the perspective of the Quran, to examine the concept of contemporary Islamic education in Indonesia, and to assess the relevance of Quranic perspectives on mental health within the context of contemporary Islamic education in Indonesia. To achieve these objectives, a qualitative approach was employed in this study. This approach emphasizes the utilization of deductive and inductive inference processes and the analysis of the dynamic interplay among observed phenomena. The study yielded descriptive data that sheds light on the Quranic theory of mental health and its applicability to contemporary Islamic education in Indonesia. The findings of this study suggest that contemporary Islamic education in Indonesia holds the potential to enhance the quality of human mentality. This enhancement can be achieved through virtuous actions such as prayer, dhikr (remembrance of God), fasting, zakat (charity), pilgrimage, and ruqyah (spiritual healing). Furthermore, the evaluation process should incorporate moral dimensions. In summary, this research demonstrates that contemporary Islamic education in Indonesia can contribute to the promotion of good mental health among individuals.

Abstract

Proses kepailitan di Indonesia, yang diatur oleh Undang-Undang No. 37 Tahun 2004, bertujuan untuk memberikan keadilan bagi kreditor melalui pemberesan harta Debitor pailit. Namun, ketiadaan batas waktu yang eksplisit bagi Kurator untuk menyelesaikan proses pemberesan menciptakan ketidakpastian hukum dan risiko kerugian ekonomis yang signifikan bagi kreditor. Penelitian hukum normatif ini menganalisis pertanggungjawaban Kurator, problematika pemberesan yang berlarut-larut, dan urgensi pembatasan waktu sebagai solusi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kekosongan hukum ini melemahkan asas kepastian hukum dan efisiensi, serta berpotensi menyebabkan penurunan nilai aset pailit, membengkaknya biaya kepailitan, dan hilangnya biaya peluang bagi kreditor. Jurnal ini menyimpulkan bahwa pembatasan waktu pemberesan mutlak diperlukan untuk memberikan perlindungan hukum yang efektif bagi kreditor dan meningkatkan akuntabilitas Kurator.

Abstract

Poros merupakan komponen penting dalam sistem transmisi daya yang berputar dengan kecepatan tinggi dan mengalami beban berulang. Retakan pada poros mengurangi kekakuan, menurunkan frekuensi alami, dan menurunkan kecepatan kritis, yang meningkatkan risiko resonansi dan kegagalan dini. Studi ini menganalisis pengaruh variasi diameter poros (20 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm) dan kedalaman retak (2 mm, 4 mm, 6 mm) terhadap kecepatan kritis. Metode ini menggabungkan perhitungan teoretis menggunakan persamaan Euler–Bernoulli dengan Analisis Elemen Hingga (FEA) melalui Solidworks dan Ansys. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa retakan yang lebih dalam secara signifikan menurunkan kecepatan kritis. Misalnya, poros 20 mm tanpa retak memiliki kecepatan kritis mode 1 sebesar 5.638 rpm, yang turun menjadi 4.900 rpm dengan retakan 6 mm. Sebaliknya, poros 30 mm tanpa retak mencapai 8.458 rpm, menunjukkan resistansi yang lebih tinggi terhadap pengurangan frekuensi. Hasil teoretis dan simulasi menunjukkan tren yang serupa, yang menyoroti pentingnya deteksi retakan dini untuk memastikan operasi yang aman. Abstract: Shafts are essential components in power transmission systems that rotate at high speeds and are subjected to repetitive loads. Cracks in shafts reduce stiffness, lower natural frequency, and decrease critical speed, which increases the risk of resonance and premature failure. This study analyzes the influence of shaft diameter variations (20 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm) and crack depths (2 mm, 4 mm, 6 mm) on critical speed. The method combines theoretical calculations using the Euler–Bernoulli equation with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) through Solidworks and Ansys. Results indicate that deeper cracks significantly lower critical speed. For instance, a 20 mm shaft without a crack has a mode 1 critical speed of 5,638 rpm, which drops to 4,900 rpm with a 6 mm crack. Conversely, a 30 mm shaft without crack reaches 8,458 rpm, showing higher resistance to frequency reduction. Theoretical and simulation results show similar trends, highlighting the importance of early crack detection to ensure safe operation.  Keywords: Shaft, Crack, Natural Frequency, FEA.

Abstract

This study examines the lecturers' perceptions of the speaking skills of master's students in the English Education program at a public university in Jambi. It discusses how lecturers evaluate their students' speaking abilities, identifies the main strengths and weaknesses, and addresses the pedagogical and institutional implications within the context of academic discourse. Three lecturers participated in semi-structured interviews to supply data for a qualitative case study. The results reveal striking differences in student proficiency; some students struggled with fluency, a limited vocabulary, and a lack of confidence when speaking English, while others demonstrated confidence, communicative competence, and the ability to convey meaning successfully. The findings also reveal that lecturers tend to prioritize fluency and coherence over grammatical accuracy, employing adaptive teaching strategies such as code-switching, scaffolding, and encouraging feedback to meet the diverse needs of their student body. These results highlight the disparity between institutional expectations and actual student performance, as well as the need for stronger language support systems. Each of these insights underscores the importance of aligning student needs with instructional support in the EMI environment. Overall, the observations highlight the importance of aligning student needs with instructional support in the EMI context.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji representasi gender dalam novel Hijrah Itu Cinta karya Abay Adhitya serta menganalisis potensinya sebagai sumber pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel tersebut merepresentasikan relasi gender yang dinamis melalui penggambaran stereotip, peran sosial, serta perkembangan karakter dalam proses hijrah. Tokoh laki-laki mengalami perubahan sikap dari pandangan negatif terhadap perempuan menuju kesadaran spiritual dan sikap yang lebih menghargai perempuan, sementara tokoh perempuan digambarkan sebagai individu yang mandiri dan memiliki kemampuan untuk menentukan pilihan hidupnya sendiri. Novel ini memiliki potensi yang kuat sebagai bahan pembelajaran sastra karena mampu mendukung kemampuan peserta didik dalam memahami, menganalisis, dan menginterpretasikan teks, serta sejalan dengan nilai-nilai moral, sosial, religius, dan kesetaraan gender. Secara keseluruhan, novel ini dapat meningkatkan literasi kritis dan pendidikan karakter peserta didik.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of product diversity on impulse buying behavior, with hedonic shopping motivation acting as a mediating variable within a modern retail environment. Amidst a significant shift in consumer behavior toward seeking experience and pleasure , this study addresses a research gap in the Southeast Asian market by examining how an extensive assortment of brands, sizes, and product qualities often exceeding 18,000 items captures consumer attention and triggers unplanned purchases. The methodology involves an empirical analysis of consumer responses to external store stimuli and internal psychological drives. Findings reveal that product diversity has a positive and significant effect on both impulse buying and hedonic shopping motivation. Furthermore, hedonic shopping motivation serves as a vital mediator, as the results indicate that a broad product range is most effective in driving impulse purchases when it successfully generates a pleasant emotional drive in the consumer. These results offer practical implications for retail managers, suggesting that to stabilize fluctuating transaction data and counter decreasing impulse buying frequency, they must focus on creating an emotionally stimulating shopping experience that enhances sensory satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence pilgrim loyalty in the Umrah travel agency industry in Indonesia, with a focus on the role of Customer Experience (CE), Customer Value (CV), and Customer Satisfaction (CS). Using a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Squares (PLS)-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method, data was collected from pilgrims who had used Umrah travel services. The results showed that customer experience and customer value had a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, customer satisfaction was found to play a significant mediating role in linking customer experience and value to loyalty. These findings emphasize that to maintain loyalty amid intense competition in the travel industry, companies must focus on creating satisfaction through memorable worship experiences and superior service value. Abstract

This study employed a quantitative approach involving 180 students of Pondok Pesantren Hasyim Asy’ari Bangsri Jepara, selected using the Slovin formula from a total population of 280 students. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that life skills have a positive and significant effect on the decision to enroll, both directly and indirectly through perceived trust and perceived value. Personal branding does not have a direct effect on the enrollment decision; however, it significantly influences perceived trust and perceived value. Perceived gender equality is found to have the strongest direct and indirect effects on the decision to enroll, as well as a significant effect on perceived trust and perceived value. Furthermore, perceived trust and perceived value play significant mediating roles, confirming that the decision to enroll is the result of an evaluative process based on trust and long-term perceived benefits. These findings suggest that enrollment decisions are not solely determined by institutional image, but rather by educational substance, environmental fairness, and the trust and value perceived by students and their parents. Therefore, Islamic boarding schools should prioritize strengthening life skills, fostering inclusive environments, and building trust as key strategies to attract prospective students.
