Abstract

Machine tools in manufacturing that produce workpieces with high accuracy are needed for the world of Manufacturing Industry. Machine tools that produce workpieces (low roundness deviation) with good quality will produce prices comparable to those offered. So that requires more optimum maintenance and maintenance of the engine. Mechanical Laboratory Manufacturing Polytechnic of Bangka Belitung State has several lathes to produce workpieces in the form of student training products, machined parts and production activities with a precision size, this lathe has been used for approximately 20 years, the usage of which has been long can lead to changes in machine geometry deviations. Deviations that occur will affect the quality of the product produced. Among the lathes there are 3 units of Geminis lathes. To find out the roundness deviation that occurs after being used in the teaching and learning process and the manufacture of spare parts for 20 years and to determine the feasibility of a lathe if it is used to process workpieces with a certain size tolerance, it is necessary to do testing. The test that is done is testing the geometric of the machine on the roundness of the workpiece .. The results of the cutting process of the test object will be measured by rounding the analysis by means of a minimum circle area. The three geminis have an average deviation of 45.33 μm and the smallest average deviation of 20 μm can produce workpieces with tolerances above 41 μm.

Abstract

The use of bricks in both non-structural and structural construction needs to be an increase in the product produced, either by improving the quality of materials based on SNI 15-2094-2000 which explains the red brick. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the Independent Variable, namely the Comparison of heating temperatures with a processing time of 12 hours, 24 hours and 36 hours, with temperatures of 300oC, 500oC and 700oC and the percentage of sand mixture of 5%, 10% and 15%. Comparison of the three independent variables will be seen what is the Optimum value of the Impact test and how the fracture that occurs is seen with SEM. The results show the smallest impact value of 264 kj / m2, and the largest value of 164 kj / m2. the calculated F value of FModel = 33.29 obtained at a significant level of 0.01 or 1% and the p value (0.0002) gives a significant value to the existing model. Whereas the Lack of Fit that occurs is 0.000199 and does not have an effect (not significant) so that the cubic mathematical model regression equation used can be accepted. Based on the interaction data and surface response to the impact strength, the effect of heating time, heating temperature and percentage of sand is very large. The point is that if the temperature and the heating time get bigger the impact test results will be even greater

Abstract

The Heat treatment process is carried out to change the mechanical properties of a steel. Changes that are expected to produce new better mechanical properties so that they can be applied to a mechanical system. One of the benefits that can be obtained is the increase in the value of the hardness needed. The hardening process carried out on S45C medium carbon steel material containing carbon by 0.45%. The heating process is carried out using an electric oven. The heating process is carried out using an electric oven. The heating process begins with heating the steel at several different temperature levels then followed by a quenching process with several different cooling media.  After the quenching process is carried out, the steel is tempered at a temperature of 500oC and measured hardness value using a hardness tester  , measurements on the HRA. From several parameters of heat treatment carried out obtained optimal values at a heating temperature of 8500C with brine cooling media. The value of the hardness of the material obtained is 68 HRA. In addition to an increase in the hardness value of steel, there is also a change in the microstructure, the changes in the microstructure that occur are the higher the hardness value of steel, the more the amount of perlite.

Abstract

Tempe is a typical Indonesian food with various preparations. One of the products is tempe chips, which are also home-made. The purpose of applying technology for home processing for partners is to improve the quality and production capacity of tempe chips. The results of the survey on partners making tempeh chips, it was found that the problems that occurred in partners were that the process of cutting tempeh was still manual by using a kitchen knife to cut or slice tempeh. So it takes a long time and the results of the slices or pieces of tempeh produce thin and thick dissimilarities of tempeh pieces. The solution given is the technology of cutting or slicing tempeh to make it easier to cut tempeh with the same results from thickness and thinness. The cutting results obtained are an average of 2.58 seconds/cut with a thickness of 1 mm having a texture that is not broken/cracked. In the process of producing tempeh chips, the partner's business increased by 69%.

Abstract

Tempe chips are processed snacks made from tempeh-based ingredients. Therefore, it can support the development of activities in the snack food home business sector, one of which is the flagship product, "Mbok De Tempe Chips" in the cunfo hamlet, Bukit Layang village, Bakam sub-district. There are problems that occur in the home industry for tempe mbok de chips, namely when the tempe slicing process is still manual using a kitchen knife as a tempe slicer. So it takes a long time and the results of the slices or pieces of tempeh produce thin and thick slices of tempeh. This community service (PkM) aims to overcome the problem of slicing tempeh that still uses a kitchen knife with a tempeh slicing machine to facilitate the slicing process. From the implementation method given in the form of a specific target from the implementation of this PkM, it was achieved well in terms of facilitating the process of slicing tempe chips with uniform slices of thickness and thinness of the tempe chips and increasing production yields so as to expand the results of sellers to increase the results and profits of people's income.

Abstract

This study aims to test the right rubber ball for measuring hand muscle strength. This research method was carried out using a quasi-experimental design. The results showed that the value of count (Pearson Product Moment Correlation) > r-table was 0.176. The reliability test results on the three right and left-hand measuring instruments were > 0.6 with a Cronbah's Alpha value of 0.920 > 0.6. In conclusion, testing the validity and reliability of rubber balls on muscle strength measuring devices with sizes of 7 cm, 8 cm, and 9 cm, which was carried out involving 130 respondents, showed valid and statistically reliable results. Abstract

Grinding is done to remove the remnants of the uneven machining process to produce a flat, smooth surface and get the desired accuracy. The research that has been conducted aims to determine the effect of variations in depth of cut and variations in dromus mixture on the surface roughness of AISI 1045 steel material after quenching and a good dromus mixture for flat grinding processes. The method in this research is experimental. The depth of cut variations given are 0.015mm, 0.020mm, 0.025mm and the mixed dromus variations are 1:10, 1:15 and 1:20. The results of this study with a depth of cut of 0.015mm with a mixture of dromus 1:10, 1:15, 1:20 get the results of 0.228µm, 0.151µm, and 0.107µm. A depth of cut of 0.020mm with a mixture of 1:10, 1:15, 1:20 dromus resulted in 0.220µm, 0.205µm, and 0.155µm. A depth of cut of 0.025mm with a mixture of 1:10, 1:15, 1:20 dromus yields 0.268µm, 0.214µm, and 0.155µm. The roughness value obtained increased with increasing the depth of the cuts made, but decreased if the dromus mixture was getting dilute.

Abstract

Large material removal rate and minimal surface roughness are the desired objectives in the CNC MORI SEIKI MV40–m process with the right process parameters to obtain a large material removal rate response and minimal surface roughness. The parameters used are cut speed, nutritional depth and spindle speed. The experimental design used based on the response surface methodology method in the form of a behnken design box. The experiment was randomized as many as 3 replications to produce more optimal results. The results showed that for parameters that contribute greatly to material removal rate and surface roughness is cutting speed and depth of cut. To obtain a large material removal rate, the cut speed is set at 143.28mm/min and the depth of cut is set at 0.25mm with a yield of 4.694mm3/minute. And to get the minimal surface roughness value, the cut speed is 118.05mm/min and the depth of cut is 0.15mm with a yield of 0.964 μm.

Abstract

Lathes include one type of tooling machine, the working principle in the lathe process is the process of removing parts of the workpiece. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of spindle rotation, dietary depth, and cooling media variations (Oli, dromus, air). The process of subsubsting uses the MAWItec D.O.O lathe.B 160x1000, and uses S45C material. This study uses the RSM method. Minimal research results in this study with variations in parameters spindle rotation 1000 RPM (factor 1 level 3), nutritional depth 0.7 (factor 2 level 2) and air conditioning media (3) (factor 3 level 3) with a resulting roughness value of 1,662 μm.

Abstract

The machining process used in the production process is a machining process that must be in accordance with the demands of the production. Where the level of precision, accuracy, quality and quantity of a product is the main thing in the machining process. to obtain a minimum response to the surface roughness of the workpiece. The research that has been tried aims to ensure the contribution of the parameters to the CNC MORI SEIKI SL-25 machining process to reduce the alteration of the workpiece surface roughness reaction simultaneously. As well as setting the right parameters of the CNC MORI SEIKI SL-25 machining process parameters in order to obtain a minimum workpiece surface roughness. The machining process parameters that were varied were cutting speed, feed depth and feed motion. The purpose of this study was to determine the surface roughness of carbon steel. This study uses parameters that affect the shape of the surface roughness value of St 41 material, namely cutting speed (110 m/min, 120 m/min, 150 m/min), depth level (0.5 mm, 0.8 mm, 1 mm)) and feeding speed (0.15mm/put, 0.925mm/put, 0.35mm/put). The value of the surface roughness of the St 41y material, which is the percent cutting speed, has a value of 11.06%, the infeed depth has a value of 0.19%. And eating motion has the smallest value of -20.97%.
