Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan tauhid bagi anak, urgensitas pendidikan tauhid, dan ‘ibrah yang terkandung dalam Al-Qur’an Surah Yusuf. Adapun metode ijmāli digunakan dalam mengungkap data penelitian, melalui upaya penafsiran al-Qur’an secara ringkas dan global. Sebagai instrumen kunci, peneliti menetapkan ayat-ayat yang berkaitan dengan tema penelitian, menghimpun ayat-ayat tersebut, serta mengutip penafsiran para mufassir tentang ayat yang telah dihimpun, hingga menyempurnakan pembahasan sesuai dengan rumusan masalah. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pertama, nilai pendidikan tauhid yang terkandung dalam al-Qur’an Surah Yusuf meliputi iman kepada Allah, iman kepada hari kiamat, tidak syirik (mempersekutukan Allah), dan sikap tawakkal kepada Allah swt. Kedua, nilai tersebut menerangkan tentang pentingnya penanaman nilai tauhid sejak dini kepada anak sebagai ejawantah ketakwaan pada Allah swt. Ketiga, adapun ‘ibrah yang dapat diambil dari penelitian ini berupa jaminan kebahagiaan dan derajat tinggi dari Allah kepada hamba-Nya yang beriman, berilmu dan bertakwa.

Abstract

This study describes the traditional marriage of Urak Tanah Ulu Muarasipong from the perspective of Islamic law. The Urak Tanah Ulu Muarasipongi marriage ritual uses the expression, firstly kawinan Sumendo which means that the man does not offer the dowry to the woman, but the woman offers and gives the dowry to the man. Urak Tanah Ulu Muarasipongi, the dowry given to men is called “pick-up money”. Second, tobenda marriage (wasted marriage), which is a marriage that comes from one descendant. Couples who are expelled from the village will only be able to return to the community if they have paid a fine. The amount of the fine is determined based on the decision of the adat deliberation. The fine is quite large, even this Tobenda marriage couple cannot pay it, because the community itself does not want to accept the couple back. Qualitative research methods were used to obtain information about customary marriage in Urak Tanah Ulu through collecting data, observation, and interviews. The results show that first, the tradition of Sumendo women proposing marriage to men is motivated by cultural and social factors. They believe that the long-established tradition can influence a woman's obedience to her husband and this is considered good. Second, Tobenda marriage, the Urak Tanah Ulu community considers inter-tribal marriage a taboo marriage, they consider people of the same tribe to have the same blood and descent. Abstract

Fakta ilmiah adalah fakta yang dapat digunakan untuk membentuk konsep sebagai abstraksi dari objek atau peristiwa alam yang menjadi kajian dalam sains. Dalam ruang lingkup ilmu Al-Qur’an, fakta ilmiah dikenal dengan istilah I’jaz ilmi, yakni kenyataan-kenyataan atau fakta-fakta empiris yang terkandung dalam Al-Qur’an yang telah menjadi ilmu pasti yang kebenarannya telah mencapai seratus persen. I’jaz ilmi atau Fakta Ilmiah Al-Qur’an yang bertujuan untuk mengokohkan keimanan dan sebagai tantangan kepada para ilmuwan untuk membuktikan kebenaran ayat-ayat kauniyyah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang berlatar pada metode kepustakaan dan dengan metode deduksi sebagai penarikan kesimpulannya. Adapun data penelitian ini bersumber dari kitab Al-Jawahir fi Tafsir al-Qur’an al-Karim karya Thanthawi Jauhari. Terdapat empat fakta ilmiah dalam surah al-Waqi’ah, pertama pada 58 sampai 62 tentang perkawinan, kode genetik dan kematian. Kemudian pada ayat 63 sampai 67 tentang proses germinasi dan fotosintesis pada tanaman serta tehnik dan teknologi dalam bercocok tanam. Kemudian pada ayat 68 sampai 70 tentang hujan asam. Dan pada ayat 71 sampai 73 tentang penyalaan api dari pohon atau tumbuhan tertentu.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Islamic communication model in overcoming Pornography, Masturbation, and Orgasm (PMO) behavior among Communication Science students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. The urgency of this study arises because of the high prevalence of PMO among adolescents in Indonesia and the need for an approach that is integrated with Islamic values. The methodology involves the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and qualitative analysis to integrate Islamic communication principles and assess their effects on student behavior. The results of the study indicate that the Islamic communication model is effective in reducing PMO behavior, with the Interpersonal Psychotherapy Model (IPM) ranking the highest in effectiveness, followed by the Interpersonal Communication Model (ICM), Digital Campaign Model (DCM), Collaborative Group Discussion (CGD), Problem-based Learning (PL), and Islamic Lecture-based Instructional Model (ILIM). This approach reduces PMO incidents and supports students' emotional and spiritual growth. Based on these results, this study recommends a broader integration of the Islamic communication model in Islamic universities' curricula and extracurricular activities. It aims to enhance preventive education and support students in developing better psychosocial and spiritual health. This study also proposes further integration of Islamic communication models in the curriculum and extracurricular activities to develop a more holistic and in-depth preventive education. Thus, this study provides new insights into the effectiveness of value-based communication approaches in education and broadens the understanding of the adaptation of value-based education in addressing sensitive issues in higher education environments.

Abstract

Issues of gender inequality and violence against women remain significant challenges across various societal strata, even within communities that strongly uphold religious values. This research critically re-examines Surah al-Nisa’ verse 34 through the lens of feminist tafsir (exegesis). Its aim is to deconstruct imbalanced gender relations and analyze their implications for structural violence experienced by women in Muslim societies. This particular verse is often used as a theological justification for male dominance over women in domestic and social spheres, thereby potentially perpetuating gender-based inequality and violence. The study employs feminist gender hermeneutics, utilizing a critical approach to both the text and its context, along with an analysis of the socio-cultural constructions that inform traditional interpretations. This research emphasizes the importance of reading the text with a strong bias towards gender justice and the protection of women's rights, considering the verse's historical, linguistic, and social backgrounds. The findings indicate that traditional interpretations of this verse are often patriarchally biased, positioning men as absolute leaders and women as subordinates. However, through a feminist tafsir approach, the verse can be read as an invitation to foster harmony and reciprocal responsibility in marital relationships, rather than as a legitimization of violence or dominance. This study asserts the critical need for a reformation of Islamic exegetical paradigms towards greater gender justice to support the formation of social systems free from violence and discrimination against women. Such reinterpretation also contributes to progressive Islamic legal discourse that protects women's rights and encourages religious and educational institutions to adopt more critical and contextual approaches to religious texts.

Abstract

Humans are inherently social beings, living in communities comprised of both men and women. In such social settings, various social issues, including immorality, often emerge. According to data from the Indonesian Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, there have been 9,584 reported cases of immoral behavior, with 1,963 male victims and 8,187 female victims. This alarming issue requires a comprehensive and contextually grounded solution. One such solution lies in the application of the moral and ethical teachings found in Surah An-Nur verses 30–31 of the Qur’an. This study aims to explore and describe the moral values embedded in these verses, as interpreted through two distinct tafsir approaches: the classical interpretation of Tafsir Al-Maraghi and the contemporary perspective of Tafsir Al-Misbah. The novelty of this study lies in its comparative approach, bridging traditional and modern interpretations to uncover a holistic understanding that addresses present-day moral challenges in Indonesia. Employing a descriptive qualitative methodology within the framework of library research, this study analyzes and compares the aforementioned tafsir works. The findings indicate that the values conveyed in Surah An-Nur verses 30–31—such as the importance of lowering one's gaze (ghaddul bashar), maintaining modesty, and fostering mutual respect between genders—remain highly relevant in efforts to prevent immoral behavior in Indonesian society. By internalizing and implementing these Qur'anic values, it is possible to cultivate a generation that excels not only in knowledge and skills but also in strong moral character. Such individuals will be better equipped to resist immoral influences, face global challenges, and make positive contributions to the nation and the wider world.

Abstract

The taḥżīr verses in the Quran are moral-spiritual warnings addressed to humans to avoid reprehensible behavior and its negative impacts. However, in the context of modern education, these warnings have not been fully internalized by students, so that moral degradation, such as intolerance, hedonistic behavior, and weak academic ethics, is still often found. This study aims to analyze the interpretation of the taḥżīr verses in Ibn ʻĀsyūr's al-Taḥrīr wa al-Tanwīr and explore their relevance for the formation of student character. The research method employs a qualitative approach, utilizing a literature study model, where primary data are derived from Ibn ʻĀsyūr's Tafsir, and secondary data are sourced from thematic tafsir literature, character education, and contemporary studies on student ethics. The results of the study indicate that the taḥżīr verses, according to Ibn ʻĀsyūr, are not only textual prohibitions, but also contain pedagogical dimensions that emphasize aspects of rationality, moral awareness, and social responsibility. The novelty of this study lies in its contribution to the thematic exegesis, specifically by highlighting the function of the taḥżīr verses not only as normative warnings but also as applicable moral education instruments for the younger generation. By interpreting taḥżīr as a preventive tool that forms spiritual, social, and intellectual vigilance, this study broadens the understanding that tafsir does not merely explain the meaning of verses but also offers a conceptual framework for strengthening character education. Its relevance is seen in the integration of the values ​​of honesty, discipline, responsibility, critical thinking, and social concern in educational practices, so that this study makes a real contribution in addressing the moral crisis of the younger generation while enriching the perspective of tafsir as a foundation for Islamic character education that is adaptive to the challenges of the times.

Abstract

ملخص: لقد أدى التقدم السريع للتكنولوجيا وانتشار المعلومات في العصر الرقمي اليوم إلى العديد من الصراعات والتحديات. وتتمثل إحدى المشاكل الرئيسية في عدم قدرة الأفراد على معالجة الكم الهائل من المعلومات المتاحة وتقييمها بشكل نقدي. ويترتب على الافتقار إلى مهارات التفكير النقدي آثار كبيرة على القدرة على المناقشة واستخلاص الاستنتاجات واتخاذ القرارات. يهدف هذا البحث إلى استقصاء العلاقة بين المنطق ومهارات التفكير النقدي، لا سيما في سياق اكتساب المعلومات والمعرفة. الطريقة المستخدمة هي البحث المكتبي. تُظهر نتائج التحليل أن المنطق له دور مهم في تطوير مهارات التفكير النقدي. يوفر المنطق إطارًا للتفكير العقلاني والمنطقي، وهو جوهر التفكير النقدي. يمكن أن تساعد دراسة المنطق في تحسين مهارات التفكير النقدي من خلال تحليل الحجج والنظر في الأدلة بموضوعية وتنظيم الأفكار. وبالتالي، يمكن للمنطق أن يساعد الأفراد على تحديد الأخطاء المنطقية، وتجنب الأخطاء في التفكير، واستخلاص الاستنتاجات الصحيحة، وتقديم الحجج بشكل مناسب. الكلمة الرئيسية: علم المنطق، مهارة، التفكير النقدي Abstracts: The rapid advancement of technology and the proliferation of information in today's digital age have led to many conflicts and challenges. One of the main problems is the inability of individuals to process and critically evaluate the vast amount of information available. The lack of critical thinking skills has significant implications for the ability to argue, draw conclusions and make decisions. This research aims to investigate the relationship between logic and critical thinking skills, particularly in the context of acquiring information and knowledge. The method used is a literature study. The results of the analysis show that logic has an important role in developing critical thinking skills. Logic provides a framework for rational and logical thinking, which is the essence of critical thinking. Studying logic can help improve critical thinking skills by analyzing arguments, considering evidence objectively, and organizing thoughts. Thus, logic can help individuals to identify logical fallacies, avoid thinking errors, draw correct conclusions and present arguments appropriately. Keywords: Mantik, Logic, Critical Thinking Abstrak: Pesatnya kemajuan teknologi dan menjamurnya informasi di era digital saat ini telah menimbulkan banyak konflik dan tantangan. Salah satu permasalahan utamanya adalah ketidakmampuan individu untuk memproses dan mengevaluasi secara kritis sejumlah besar informasi yang tersedia. Kurangnya keterampilan berpikir kritis memiliki implikasi yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan berargumentasi, menarik kesimpulan dan pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki hubungan antara logika dan keterampilan berpikir kritis, khususnya dalam konteks memproleh informasi dan ilmu pengetahuan. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ilmu mantik memiliki peran penting dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Imu mantik memberikan kerangka kerja untuk berpikir rasional dan logis, yang merupakan inti dari berpikir kritis. Mempelajari ilmu mantik dapat membantu meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan cara menganalisis argumen. mempertimbangkan bukti secara objektif, dan mengorganisir pemikiran. Dengan demikian, ilmu mantik dapat membantu individu untuk mengidentifikasi kesalahan logis, menghindari kesalahan berpikir, menarik kesimpulan yang benar dan menyampaikan argumen dengan tepat.
