Abstract

The Guided Inquiry approach provides students with opportunities to actively engage in the learning process through investigation, data collection, and drawing conclusions. This approach directly fosters critical thinking skills, including interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Guided Inquiry model in teaching Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at the elementary school level. The research method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by analyzing 796 articles from Scopus and Google Scholar databases published between 2021 and 2026. Based on the literature review, the findings indicate that this model significantly improves students’ critical thinking skills, conceptual understanding, and learning motivation. The results show that these improvements occur due to the shift in students’ roles from passive recipients to active discoverers through systematic learning stages. Furthermore, the integration of digital technologies such as video media, PhET Simulations, and Google Sites enhances learning outcomes by making abstract concepts more concrete. Therefore, the Guided Inquiry approach can serve as a strategic solution in developing science learning aligned with the demands of 21st-century education in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan mempunyai tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis Problem-Based Learning (PBL) berorientasi Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) di Sekolah Dasar dan menganalisis pengaruhnya terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) terhadap 21 artikel jurnal relevan tahun 2021–2025 yang bersumber dari Google Scholar, melalui identifikasi kata kunci, penyaringan berdasarkan kriteria inklusi-eksklusi, ekstraksi data, serta sintesis dan analisis tematik. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan LKPD berbasis PBL berorientasi HOTS mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa, meningkatkan kemampuan analisis, evaluasi, dan sintesis informasi, serta memperkuat pengambilan keputusan berbasis masalah nyata. Seluruh artikel yang dikaji menunjukkan peningkatan berpikir kritis secara konsisten. Selain itu, pendekatan PBL juga mendukung pengembangan karakter siswa, termasuk kolaborasi, refleksi diri, dan apresiasi terhadap keberagaman. Kesimpulannya, LKPD berbasis PBL berorientasi HOTS terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dan mendukung pengembangan karakter siswa SD.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an e-learning platform based on Google Sites that is integrated with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to improve student learning outcomes on the topic of chemical equilibrium.. Research instruments include expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and learning achievement tests conducted through pretest and posttest. The validation results showed that the developed media obtained scores of 85.3% from material experts and 86% from media experts, both categorized as very valid. Student response to e-learning media is also very practical, with a percentage of 88.7%. The effectiveness of the media was shown by a significant increase in learning outcomes, with an N-gain score of 0.72 categorized as high. Therefore, Google Sites–based e-learning integrated with the PBL model is considered valid, practical, and effective, making it feasible to use as an alternative learning medium for teaching chemical equilibrium material.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Problem-Based Learning (PBL) teaching materials integrated with an ethnoscience approach on the topic of food and beverage additives to enhance students’ scientific literacy. The research was motivated by the low level of scientific literacy among Indonesian students, as indicated by the 2022 PISA results, which suggest that science learning remains largely theoretical and insufficiently connected to local cultural contexts. The ethnoscience approach integrates scientific concepts with indigenous cultural knowledge, while the PBL model promotes active learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. This study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the 4D model, consisting of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The research subjects were eighth-grade students at SMP Islam Sunan Giri Salatiga. Research instruments included expert validation sheets for materials and media, student response questionnaires, and scientific literacy tests. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques to determine the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of the developed teaching materials. The results indicate that the PBL–ethnoscience-based teaching materials are highly valid, with average validation scores of 89.38% from material experts and 87.68% from media experts. Student responses were categorized as very good, with scores of 80.61% on a small scale and 81.45% on a large scale. The N-gain analysis showed improvements in scientific literacy at high (41.94%), moderate (38.71%), and low (9.68%) levels. These findings demonstrate that PBL–ethnoscience-based teaching materials effectively improve junior high school students’ scientific literacy and can serve as a reference for culturally integrated science learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji dampak penggunaan game edukasi digital terhadap pembelajaran numerasi padasiswa sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah Systematic Literature Review (SLR) terhadap 18 artikel ilmiah yang dipilih dari Google Scholar, Scopus, dan Sinta (periode 2015–2024). Prosedur SLR meliputi perumusan pertanyaan penelitian, pencarian kata kunci terstruktur, seleksi berdasarkan kriteria inklusi-eksklusi, penilaian kualitas studi, dan sintesis tematik hasil. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa game edukasi digital, khususnya yang berbasis web dan berunsur gamifikasi (tantangan, level, pencapaian), efektif menurunkan kecemasan matematika, meningkatkan motivasi belajar mandiri, serta melatih nalar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa tanpa tekanan evaluasi formal. Kesimpulannya, integrasi game edukasi digital memberikan dampak positif dan berpotensi sebagai solusi pedagogis untuk meningkatkan literasi numerasi di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD digital berbasis problem-based learning yang terintegrasi culturally responsive teaching pada materi koloid untuk meningkatkan keterampilan abad 21 peserta didik, khususnya keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kreatif. Produk dikembangkan dengan memadukan kearifan lokal budaya Melayu Riau ke dalam konteks pembelajaran materi koloid. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah RD dengan model 4D. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian dengan uji validitas oleh ahli materi dan media, uji kepraktisan oleh guru dan peserta didik, serta uji efektivitas melalui pretest-posttest pada peserta didik SMA Negeri 1 Keritang. Hasil validasi menunjukkan LKPD digital sangat layak digunakan dengan skor validitas ahli materi 93,75% dan ahli media 95,44%. Uji kepraktisan memperoleh skor 98,6% dan keterbacaan peserta didik 87,5%. Uji efektivitas menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan N-Gain 0,76 dan berpikir kreatif dengan N-Gain 0,77 pada kategori tinggi, dan respons peserta didik sebesar 90,31% dalam kategori sangat baik. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi pendekatan PBL dan CRT ke dalam LKPD digital merupakan strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif dan relevan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran abad 21, sehingga pembelajaran lebih bermakna dan kontekstual, sekaligus berkontribusi pada pelestarian kearifan lokal.
