Abstract

Salah satu mata kuliah penting dalam program studi pendidikan matematika adalah kalkulus diferensial. Salah satu permasalahan pada perkuliahan kalkulus diferensial yaitu rendahnya hasil belajar mahasiswa. Salah satu kendala yang dihadapi adalah sulitnya mahasiswa dalam memahami materi perkuliahan melalui buku teks. Mahasiswa lebih mudah mengerti jika dijelaskan secara lisan. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, maka penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar alternatif berupa video pembelajaran berbasis pen tablet. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan video pembelajaran kalkulus diferensial yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian tersebut maka jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika Universitas Pasir Pengaraian yang mengambil mata kuliah kalkulus diferensial pada T.A 2020/2021. Tahapan penelitian pengembangan ini mengacu kepada model Plomp yang terdiri dari 3 fase, yaitu: preliminary research, prototyping stage, assessment phase. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa angket yang diisi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media untuk mengukur validitas video, angket yang diisi oleh mahasiswa untuk mengukur praktikalitas video, dan tes tertulis untuk mengukur efektifitas video. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan video pembelajaran kalkulus diferensial berbasis pen tablet dinyatakan valid dengan kriteria sangat baik, praktis dan efektif dengan kriteria baik.

Abstract

Salah satu sektor yang terdampak pandemi Covid-19 adalah pendidikan. Pembelajaran yang biasa dilakukan dengan tatap muka, tidak dapat dilakukan lagi untuk menghambat penyebaran virus covid-19. Selama kurang lebih satu tahun, guru melaksanakan pembelajaran secara daring, sehingga guru memiliki tantangan maupun hambatan serta strategi tersendiri terhadap pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring itu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan pembelajaran matematika yang dilaksanakan guru selama masa pandemi covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan instrument penelitian kuisioner online dengan bantuan google form. Kuisioner terdiri atas pertanyaan terbuka dan tertutup yang memuat aspek strategi pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru, tantangan atau hambatan, serta keuntungan yang diperoleh dari implementasi pembelajaran daring. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran yang dilakukan guru selama pembelajaran daring di masa pandemi Covid-19 yaitu guru langsung mengajar siswa dengan menggunakan Google Meet ataupun Zoom, guru mengirimkan video pembelajaran kepada siswa baik yang direkam sendiri maupun video pembelajaran dari platform yang sudah ada, kemudian guru memberikan penugasan melalui platform online. Platform yang paling banyak digunakan guru dalam pembelajaran daring adalah whatshapp (90,5%), google clasroom (66,7%), youtube (28,6%), Zoom (23,8%), Google Meet (23,8%), telegram (14,3%), facebook (4,8%) dan instagram (4,8%). Tantangan atau hambatan yang dihadapi guru selama pembelajaran online, yaitu guru sulit beradaptasi dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran online. Selanjutnya hambatan yang paling banyak dialami siswa adalah signal yang kurang baik, kurangnya motivasi dan kemandirian siswa dalam belajar. Sedangkan keuntungan yang diperoleh guru dalam pelaksanaan daring yaitu bertambahnya pengetahuan guru tentang teknologi dan efisiensi tempat dan waktu.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a practical and valid video for learning integral calculus using a pen tablet. This type of study is known as development research. This study employs a three-dimensional development model, consisting of define, design, and development. The research instrument consisted of a questionnaire completed by material experts and media experts to assess the video's validity and a questionnaire completed by students to assess the video's usability. Based on the stages of development that have been completed, it can be concluded that the resulting instructional video is valid. According to the validation results, both material experts and media experts have a very high level of validity, with a total average score of 3.72 and 3.77, respectively. Videos created with a pen tablet are also useful videos. According to the criteria used to determine the usefulness of instructional videos, the overall average is 80.88 percent. This demonstrates that the practicality of pen tablet-based integral calculus instructional videos is very good. The findings indicate that the instructional videos created can be utilized in the learning process.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual terhadap beliefs matematis siswa. Penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen, dengan desain two group posttest only. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah selurus siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Lembang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Kelas eksperimen diterapkan pembelajaran dengan pendekatan kontekstual, sedangkan kelas kontrol diterapkan pembelajaran saintifik. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuisioner beliefs matematis. Analisis data menggunakan Uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran kontekstual tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap beliefs matematis siswa.

Abstract

Variable calculus is a subject that requires students to have high mastery and competence. This is because the material presented requires students to think critically and creatively to solve problems. In fact the results of the previous semester's assessment analysis, the percentage of students who graduated with grades A or B was very low. The research method is research and development, with ADDIE development stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results of the needs analysis showed that students need teaching material for calculus variable which is assisted by a technology of mathematical applications, where students' opinions on the need for a mathematical application such as geogebra software in learning, there are 66.7% of students strongly agree, and there are 33.3% agree . The validation results show that the average of all aspects of the assessment of teaching materials obtained an average of 4.29 means that the teaching materials are valid. The results of the practicality questionnaire analysis of the 20 students who took the lecture obtained an overall average of 4.28, which means practical. The results of student responses to the teaching material questionnaire from the aspects of teaching materials and learning activities obtained an average percentage of total positive responses of students amounted to 81.67% meaning that teaching materials are effectively used by students in learning

Abstract

The development of start-ups in Indonesia is very fast. Every year new startup appear with a pretty fantastic number. This year, Indonesia occupies the fifth position in the country with the highest number of start-ups. Along with the many new start-ups that appear, there are also many start-ups that fail in the middle of the road. This failure can be caused by many factors. This study aims to examine the stages of development and key factors for the success of digital start-ups. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The research sample consists of 15 CEOs or founders of digital start-up registered on the https://1000start-updigital.id/ website with a random method. The results of the analysis show that the start-up development stage consists of 7 stages including: ideation, making a business plan, building a team, making MVP, testing MVP to validate solution ideas, refinement, launching. Furthermore, to overcome start-up failures, there are key success factors including teamwork, capital, role models, and innovation. The findings in this study indicate that the team is the main factor for the success of a start-up.

Abstract

Computational thinking (CT) is a leading skill that must be possessed by students and is believed to be one of the keys to future success in a digital society. These skills are often associated with computer science but are now starting to be integrated with other fields of science, including learning mathematics. This literature review aims to study the benefits and challenges of computational thinking (CT) in learning mathematics. This literature review analyzes six references from the Scopus database based on predetermined keywords. Furthermore, content analysis was conducted to see the advantages and challenges of implementing CT in mathematics classes. Based on a literature review, there are several benefits of computational thinking in mathematics class, one of which is that CT improves student performance in learning mathematics; through CT skills, namely generalization and algorithmic thinking, it can help students solve computational problems well, learning that involves CT has the potential to have a positive influence on higher-level thinking skills (logic, algorithmic, and problem-solving views), as well as helping students solve real problems that he found. However, several challenges need to be faced, including the need to pay attention to the duration of learning to improve CT skills, the need for resource readiness which includes teacher competence, teaching materials, and assessment instruments, and teachers need to prepare and design didactic sequences. This literature review is expected to provide educators with an understanding of the extent to which CT can shape mathematics learning to be more creative and meaningful

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk melihat apakah ada pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas VII MTs Bahrul Ulum. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimen) dengan desain penelitian Two-Group Posttest Only. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII MTs Bahrul Ulum. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik simple random sampling, sehingga diperoleh kelas VII B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII A sebagai kelas kontrol. Pada kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran tipe Think Pair Share (TPS), sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan uji Mann Whitney karena uji prasyarat yaitu uji normalitas diperoleh data tidak berdistribusi normal. Hasil perhitungan diperoleh Z hitung > Z tabel yaitu 3,85 > 1,96 dengan nilai a=0,05, maka tolak H0. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas VII MTs Bahrul Ulum.

Abstract

Mathematical creative thinking is the ability to think that aims to create or find new, different, unusual, and original ideas that bring definite and precise results. This study aims to determine the mathematical creative thinking skills of students of SMAN 1 Bangun Purba class XI IPA 1. This research was conducted on 23 students in class XI IPA 1 using descriptive qualitative methods. The instrument used was a mathematical creative thinking ability test which consisted of 4 items on students’ mathematical creative thinking abilities on the probability material accompanied by interviews with students. Indicators of mathematical creative thinking abilities used are fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration. This study concludes that the mathematical creative thinking ability of students of SMAN 1 Bangun Purba class XI IPA 1 has an average of 72.3 in the high category. At the same time, the presentation for fluency indicators is 74%, flexibility indicators 72%, originality indicators 66%, and indicators. Elaboration 77%. The highest percentage of creative thinking ability characteristics is elaboration, and the lowest is originality.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a valid guided discovery-based Student Activity Sheet (LAS) on circle material. Research and development (Research and Development) is the type of research used. The development procedure used in this research follows the 4-D development model, which is modified into 3-D, consisting of defining, designing and developing. The instrument used in this study was a validation questionnaire sheet. The validation questionnaire sheet consists of didactic, content, language, and display aspects. Data analysis was carried out by calculating the average of each aspect at this validation stage. Based on the validity test of the guided discovery-based LAS, which three validators have carried out with several revisions and improvements, the average score of the guided discovery-based LAS validation results is 3.36, with a very good category. So it can be concluded that LAS based on guided discovery is valid.
