Abstract

Fire is an oxidation reaction of the three elements (fuel, oxygen, heat) that can result in loss of property, injury, even death. Electricity potential that may results on fire is the short circuit current that occurs on the equipments and electrical installation cables. The remaining wires at the first fire location are subject to fire damage and can cause electrical short circuit. The purpose of this study is to analyze the short-circuit electrical deformation of copper cable using SEM EDS and MICRO XRF instrument. Based on the study result, there is a dominant change of oxygen elements in single cable and fiber sample causing fire that is 35,96% and 21,24%, those values are higher than Oxygen on a burned short circuited cable that is 19,54% and 12,1%. The microstructure of the cable that causes fire looks like irregular clumps whereas the burned cable looks like a clump of clumps.

Abstract

Waste  is  one  the  critical  issues  in  Indonesia which  can  pose  a  badly influence  both  to human’s health and nature preservation if it is not properly managed for productive use. Hence, the increasing production in municipal waste is directly proportional to the increasing number of population, in which raises the waste production in big cities in Indonesia, such as in Bogor. In Bogor, a waste processing facility (TPS) using biogas for renewable energy has been developed. The volume of wastes in Bogor at the year of 2016 has reached 2.734,03 m³ per day. There are 12 locations for waste processing facility with the TPS 3R (Reduce, Re-use and Recycle) model but there are only 3 locations that uses biogas for   Renewable   Energy.   3   of   these   biogas-based   waste processing  facilities  can  be  found in  the  region  of  Taruna, Ceremai, and Dharmais. The wastes' capacity of each regions (Taruna, Ceremai, and Dharmais) consecutively is 3.300 kg,2.400 kg, and 2.520 kg with the number of organic materials that are being processed into biogas for renewable energy is 85 kg, 85 kg, and 55 kg.

Abstract

KelapaSawit merupakan tanaman budidaya yang menghasilkan minyak nabati yaitu Crude Plam Oil (CPO), sangat banyak dijumpai di Indonesia terutama di pulau Sumatera, Kalimantan, Sulawesi dan Papua. Selain menghasilkan Crude Palm Oil (CPO) sebanyak 22 %, kernel 5% dari proses pengolahan kelapa sawit dalam 1 ton kelapa sawit akan mampu menghasilkan limbah berupa tandan kosong kelapa sawit (TKKS) sebanyak 22 % atau 220 kg, limbah cangkang (Shell) sebanyak 6 % atau 60 kg, wet decanter solid (lumpur sawit) 4 % atau 40 kg, serabut (Fiber) 13 % atau 130 kg serta limbah cair sebanyak 28 %. Dari ke empat limbah padat tersebut limbah tandan kosong kelapa sawit (TKKS) merupakan limbah padat yang jumlahnya cukup besar, namun pemanfaatannya masih terbatas, sementara ini hanya dibakar dan sebagian dihamparkan pada lahan kosong sebagai mulsa/pupuk, di kawasan sekitar pabrik. Dari penelitian pemanfaatan limbah, diketahui tandan kosong kelapa sawit (TKKS) memiliki potensi besar untuk diolah menjadi briket sebagai bahan bakar pembangkit listrik tenaga biomasa (PLT Biomassa) ataupun sebagai bahan bakar pengganti minyak tanah. Adapun nilai kalori dari limbah Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (TKKS) 3.498 kcal/kg atau 14.650 kJ/kg (kadar air 30 % setelah dikempa), Cangkang 3.893 kcal/kg atau 16.304 kJ/kg (basah) serta Serabut 3.068 kcal/kg atau 12.849 kJ/kg dan Briket TKKS 7.490 kcal/kg atau 31.368 kJ/kg, sehingga berpotensi menghasilkan tenaga listrik dari boiler.

Abstract

Many researches of employee engagement proved that engagement is an important factor in providing successful quality services in hospital.   Engaged health workers who are energized, loyalty, dedicated, absorbed in their work have an important role in accelerate patient healing, tackling the shortage of health workers and sustainable cost efficiency.  The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of organizational culture and servant leadership on health workers engagement in public hospital.  The survey method design was used in the study to a public hospital in Tasikmalaya city, Indonesia. The Likert-scale questionnaires was used to measure the strength of 75 health workers’ engagement, organizational culture and servant leadership.  The study had generated finding that the public hospital culture and the servant leadership of health workers have significant and positive effect to the health workers’ engagement. In addition, the effect of servant leadership was stronger than the organizational culture.  Based on the result of research, it is necessary to develop servant leadership qualifications by increasing the spirit of supervisor service and fostering work-values based culture of the hospital to improve health workers’ engagement.

Abstract

Changes in the business, economic, employment and income climate during the Covid 19 pandemic caused the global financial crisis to weaken economic growth, increase unemployment and people's purchasing power. This paper aims to present the various entrepreneurial potentials of Bedouin palm sugar, accelerate innovative technology and empower human resources for Bedouin palm sugar craftsmen to exist in the never-ending Covid-19 era. With the mixed method BEP, R/C ratio, SWOT which is interpreted descriptively qualitatively and reviews various research results and related literature. From the field findings it can be predicted that the high potential and entrepreneurial development that can be carried out by the Bedouin community in general. It is necessary to evaluate agricultural development policies from the institutional aspect of processed products, so that processed product strategies are not just raw materials and efforts to accurately formulate policies in supporting the increase in rural agro-industry going forward. Strategies for access to technology and information according to needs, the existence of adequate operational policy tools, the functioning of various supporting institutions (research, counseling, marketing), as well as regulatory support as government policies that are more focused and one-sided to accelerate the achievement of technological innovation.

Abstract

The era of globalization is called the era of technological revolution 4.0, where technology is developing rapidly, all-digital technology is an absolute requirement for human resources to enter the world of work and business. There are still limited levels of education, skills, competence. The weaker motivation of human resources is the impact of rampant downsizing of the workforce, the bankruptcy of large and small companies. This paper aims to comprehensively present the role and influence of innovation and strategic management on the readiness of human resources to enter the world of work and business in the era of globalization – technological revolution 4.0, interpreted using a descriptive qualitative method of reviewing various literature and study results to enrich writing insights. The results of the writing show that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a very large and significant impact on all aspects of human life and almost all government institutions/organizations/companies in the world, in the economic, social, political, etc. fields, will become history that will never be forgotten for all people. who live in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. The occurrence of various technological changes is required to increase innovation and creativity in managing strategies to deal with it. Technological change does not automatically bring goodness. Digital literacy is different from a digital mindset. In innovation and strategic execution/implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the most important stages and government alignment (regulation, conducive alignment).

Abstract

Guru merupakan garda terdepan untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dan menciptakan sumber daya manusia yang kompetitif dan berkarakter. Di era 4.0 seorang guru harus mampu meningkatkan keinovatifan sehingga dapat menuangkan ide-ide inovatif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang upaya dan strategi dalam meningkatkan keinovatifan guru dengan melihat pengaruh antara kepemimpinan transformasional dan efikasi diri terhadap keinovatifan guru. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada guru agama Buddha di Provinsi Banten dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 112 guru. Penentuan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik proporsional random sampling dan rumus Taro Yamane diperoleh sampel penelitian 87 guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan pendekatan Analisis Jalur menggunakan PLS-SEM. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan angket. Hasil penelitian menerangkan bahwa: 1) terdapat pengaruh positif langsung dan signifikan antara kepemimpinan transformasional terhadap keinovatifan guru; 2) terdapat pengaruh positif langsung dan signifikan efikasi diri terhadap keinovatifan guru. Penelitian ini menyumbangkan wawasan dalam meningkatkan keinovatifan guru melalui penguatan variabel-variabel yang menunjukkan pengaruh, seperti; kepemimpinan transformasional dan efikasi diri. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menemukan upaya dan strategi dalam meningkatkan keinovatifan guru di Provinsi Banten.   Teachers are at the forefront in supporting the quality of education and forming students who are competitive and have character. In the 4.0 era, a teacher must be able to increase innovativeness so that he can express innovative ideas. The purpose of this study was to obtain information about efforts and strategies to increase teacher innovation by looking at the influence of transformational leadership and self-efficacy on teacher innovation. This research was conducted on Buddhist teachers in Banten Province with a total population of 112 teachers. Sampling was determined using a simple random technique and followed by the Taro Yamane formula resulting in a sample of 87 Buddhist teachers. The research method uses Path Analysis through the PLS-SEM approach. The method of data collection is done by distributing questionnaires. The results of the study explain that there is a direct and significant positive influence of transformational leadership variables on teacher innovativeness; Furthermore, there is a direct and significant positive influence of self-efficacy variables on teacher innovation. This research contributes insights in increasing teacher innovation through strengthening variables that show influence, such as; transformational leadership variables and self-efficacy variables. The results of this study are expected to find efforts and strategies to increase the innovativeness of teachers in Banten Province.

Abstract

Excellent quality of education is the foundation of the nation's progress. The realization of the quality of education is achieved through improving the quality of teaching. Teacher creativity has an impact on the quality of teaching and determines the achievement of school education goals and national education goals. It is very important to carry out in-depth studies on strategies for increasing teacher creativity. This study examines the increase in teacher creativity through strengthening self-efficacy, knowledge sharing and transformational leadership. This study aims to find strategies and ways to increase the creativity of teachers who teach at the elementary school level. Elementary school is the foundation for character building and key skills. This study uses a correlational method and is followed by an analysis of the Scientific Identification Theory to Conduct Operations Research in Education Management (SITOREM). The population of this study is 202 teachers who teach in private elementary schools at Buddhist religious foundations throughout Banten province, the sample size is 135 teachers. The results of the study show that there is a positive and significant relationship between Self-Efficacy, Knowledge Sharing and Transformational Leadership Together with Teacher Creativity. Increasing Teacher Creativity can be done by strengthening the variable indicators of Self-Efficacy, Knowledge Sharing and Transformational Leadership. Based on the STOREM analysis, there are 12 indicators that must be prioritized for improvement, and 7 indicators to be maintained.

Abstract

The manager's main goals for his employees are to maximize job performance and ensure them remain working at the company for a significant period of time. This research aims to prove the influences of school principals’ personality and managerial roles on their managerial effectiveness and organizational commitment. This is non-parametric research as the totally population of 136 private elementary school principals at South Jakarta Indonesia are all taken as the sample. The data was collected by using questionnaire forms and analyzed by applying PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square – Structural Equation Modelling). The results show that school principals’ personality and managerial roles have direct and indirect positive influences towards their managerial effectiveness and organizational commitment. Discussion of the research findings and their implications as well as suggestions are further explored at the end of the article.
