Abstract

This study aims to find out and describe the mathematical critical thinking abilities of students taught using the Aptitude learning model. Treatment Interaction is better than using conventional learning in class VIII students of SMP N 15 Sarolangun in the 2015/2016 school year. This study uses a quantitative approach to the experimental method with the posttest Only control group design research design. The population used in this study were students of class VIII A totaling 25 students, class VIII B which amounted to 25 students and class VIII C which amounted to 24 students, where this study was in Sarolangun Middle School 15 15 2015/2016 academic year. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques in the study used a descriptive test of mathematical critical thinking skills which amounted to 5 items. Data analysis in hypothesis testing using t-test to see where this hypothesis reads hypothesis ift> ttable so Ha is received and H0 is rejected with significance level of 0.05. From the analysis of the latest data in the experimental class obtained an average value of 69.12 while the control class obtained an average of 59.16. Then analyzed using the t-test, the results of hypothesis testing obtained tcount = 2,341 and ttable 1,677. Because tcount > ttable then H0 isrejected and Ha is accepted. So that it can describe the students' critical thinking skills mathematically taught with Aptitude learning model Treatment Interaction is better than those taught with conventional learning class VIII students of SMP Negeri 15 Sarolangun in 2015 2016 Keywords: Aptitude Treatment Interaction, Mathematical Critical Thinking.

Abstract

Misalkan diberikan graf G dan H sebarang. Notasi F → (G, H) berarti bahwa pada sebarang pewarnaan 2-warna, merah atau biru, terhadap semua sisi graf F mengakibatkan F memuat subgraf merah yang isomorfik dengan G atau subgraf biru yang isomorfik dengan H. Graf F adalah graf Ramsey (G, H)-minimal jika F → (G, H) dan F ∗ 9 (G, H) untuk sebarang subgraf sejati F ∗ ⊂ F. Selanjutnya R(G, H) menyatakan kelas yang memuat semua graf Ramsey (G, H)-minimal. Abstract

This research aims to develop LKPD based on problem based learning on social arithmetic subject matter for class VII students of SMP Negeri 5 Merangin which is valid, practical, and effective. This form of research is known as Research and Development (R&D) and uses the ADDIE development model which has five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The instrument used was a validation sheet filled out by five validators, a practicality questionnaire sheet and an interview guide for student responses and effectiveness in the form of observation sheets and learning outcomes test questions. These results show that the average score of the material expert validation is 4.27, the linguist validation is 4.40, and the media expert validation is 4.68. The overall validation value of 4.45 has a very valid category. The results of the student response questionnaire obtained a percentage of 80.32% having a fairly practical category. Student learning activities get an average percentage of 76.57% having an active category and the percentage of classical learning outcomes of 76.92% having an effective category. Thus, this research resulted in PBL-based LKPD for social arithmetic subject matter for grade VII students of SMPN 5 Merangin which was valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

This research aims to determine and describe students' understanding of mathematical concepts through the application of the Teaching Game Team learning model. The research population was class IX students. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a 2x3 factorial design involving 2 sample classes. Sampling used a random sampling technique with a sample of 48 students. The data collection technique uses test questions describing the ability to understand concepts in terms of students' initial abilities. Testing hypotheses 1, 2, 3 and 4 uses the t-test formula and hypothesis 5 uses the two-way Anova technique. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, it was found that hypothesis 1 was accepted, where students' overall understanding of mathematical concepts using the teaching game team learning model was better than conventional learning. Meanwhile, Hypotheses 2, 3 and 4 are rejected, meaning that the understanding of mathematical concepts for those with high, medium and low initial abilities using the teaching game team learning model is no better.or equal to conventional learning. Hypothesis 5 is rejected, so there is no interaction between the teaching game team learning model in terms of initial ability to influence understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya pemahaman konsep matematika di kalangan sisw. Siswa belum mampu memenuhi indikator-indikator pemahaman konsep matematis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah siswa yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif Talking Stick memahami konsep  matematika lebih menyeluruh dibandingkan siswa yang belajar menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional siswa kelas IX SMP 43 Merangin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi eksperimen dan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan menggunakan sampel sebanyak 102 siswa kelas IX SMP 43 Merangin yang terbagi dalam 4 kelas. Simple Random Sampling adalah metode yang digunakan untuk pengambilan sampel. Soal bergaya esai digunakan sebagai sarana pengumpulan data pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep matematis. Uji t merupakan teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis karena diketahui data mempunyai varians yang homogen dan berdistribusi normal berdasarkan hasil pengujian persyaratan analisis. Hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh  dan   . Karena  atau    1,676 maka  diterima. Dari hasil tersebut, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pemahaman konsep matematis menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Talking Stick umggul dibandingkan menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 43 Merangin

Abstract

This research was motivated by the students' low mathematics problem-solving abilities. There are 5 five indicators of 9 mathematical problem solving abilities that students have not been able to achieve. One of the reasons is that there are still many students who are not active in the learning process and there is a lack of variety in the learning strategies used by teachers. This research aims to describe mathematical problem solving abilities using a Problem Based Learning model based on ethnomathematics compared to conventional learning for class IX students at MTs N01 Merangin Year 3 Lesson 2023/2024. The method used in this research uses an experimental method and the population is all students in class IX MTs N 1 Merangind for the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 182 people. The sampling technique uses Simple Random Sampling. The samples selected were Class IX C as = Experimental Class and Class 5 IX D as Control Class. The method for analyzing data before conducting a hypothesis test is tested first with a normality test and a harmony test, where it is known that the data is normally distributed and has homogeneous variance, so the hypothesis is tested with the t-test. The average score obtained from data analysis for the experimental class was 53.68, variance 39.0250, while the control class obtained an average score of 49.10, variance 68.1780. The results of the hypothesis test were obtained, tcount = 2.373 and ttable = 1.671. Because tcount > ttable, H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. The conclusion of this research is that the ability to solve mathematical problems using the Ethnomathematics-based Problem Based Learning model is better than using conventional learning for class IX students at MTs N 1 Merangin for the 2023/20 academic year

Abstract

The mathematical communication ability of students is still low, is known from the results of the initial test that there are no students who meet learning mastery. Because students have not mastered and are ability to apply all indicators of mathematical communication skills. The purpose of this research is to describe the significant influence between learning attitudes on mathematical communication skills. This research uses a quantitative approach to the correlational method. The population of this research is all students of class VIII SMP N 43 Merangin consisting of 4 classes totaling 120 people. For the sample using the Taro Yamane formula, 55 people were selected, the sampling method used was simple random sampling with the lottery method. The data collection technique used questionnaire and test data. The instrument used in the form of statement items and items about mathematical communication skills. Based on the data analysis technique, the data obtained are normally distributed and have a linear pattern. Furthermore, to test the hypothesis using the Pearson product moment formula, and the significance test using the Z-test, followed by the determinant coefficient formula for variable X to variable Y from the analysis is known that the coefficient of determination is 27.35%. Then a simple linear regression test and a regression significance test were performed. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that if Fcount > Ftable or 19.948 > 1.907, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that there is a significant influence between learning attitudes on the mathematical communication skills of eighth grade students of SMP N 43 Merangin.Keywords: Learning Attitude, Mathematical Communication Ability

Abstract

Pendidikan STEM (Sains, Teknologi, Teknik, dan Matematika) menjadi fokus utama dalam banyak negara karena dianggap sebagai kunci untuk menghasilkan generasi yang mampu mengatasi tantangan global yang semakin kompleks. Pencapaian dalam pembelajaran STEM dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, baik eksternal seperti kurikulum dan metode pengajaran, maupun faktor internal, terutama inteligensi dan bakat individu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dampak perbedaan individu dalam hal inteligensi dan bakat terhadap pencapaian pembelajaran STEM. Berdasarkan tinjauan teori dan penelitian sebelumnya, inteligensi yang lebih tinggi dan bakat alami di bidang STEM berperan penting dalam kemampuan siswa untuk menyerap informasi, berinovasi, serta memecahkan masalah yang kompleks. Penelitian ini diterapkan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan fokus pada kajian literatur yang relevan untuk menggali hubungan antara inteligensi, bakat, dan pencapaian dalam pembelajaran STEM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa baik inteligensi maupun bakat, bila dikembangkan dengan baik, dapat mempercepat proses pembelajaran dan meningkatkan pencapaian dalam bidang STEM. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan untuk merancang pendekatan pengajaran yang lebih inklusif dan disesuaikan dengan perbedaan individu dalam pendidikan STEM.
